Chapter 117: The Chief’s Level

Chapter 117: The Chief’s Level

Boom!

A Stitched Human reaching a height of 50 metres cranked its fist and unleashed a deafening punch on the ship’s hull.

It had humanoid structure to it, but its entire body seemed to have been a series of Pranic Beasts stitched together to assume this overall shape. Scarily enough, all the Pranic Beasts forming this humanoid were alive, and maintaining their sentience.

Primary Nature!

Primary Nature!

Primary Nature!

Every single Pranic Beast activated its Primary Nature to bombard the Cooter Clansmen. And whenever they did so, the influence stemming from their Natures spiked, which granted momentary semblance of clarity, allowing the Pranic Beasts to grasp their situation. Then…

GROOOOOAAAHHH!!!

In pain, they screamed, for their bodies had been treated like clay and had been moulted into grotesque forms, significantly straining their organs to the extent their Prana was basically working overtime to barely keep things functional.

Every single moment, their organs were failing, and the neurons were firing off distress signals to the brain. Every single pain receptor behaved like a bomb exploding feedback through the system.

Every moment they spent in this state, their Spirit Containers were steadily cracking and crumbling down bit by bit. And the more they were being subjected to the influence permeating through the Stitched Human, the more their semblance of individuality eroded.

Their Primary Natures too were growing more and more dim as time passed, on the verge of vanishing.

The Primary Nature of a Pranic Beast was a physical characteristic of its being that could interact with Prana and pronounce its effect onto the environment. It was the strongest manner in which the Pranic Beast could display its existence.

Therefore, the more its existence was getting eroded, the more its Primary Nature waned, until eventually, it’ll fully vanish. By this point, its Spirit Container would have completely crumbled.

The Stitched Human would turn into a mere hunk of its former self, becoming a flesh statue, for every creature part of it would have turned into a corpse.

However, even though the Stitched Humans had an expiry date ranging from a few hours to a few days depending on the degree of moulding done to their bodies, in the duration of their existence, they were extremely dangerous beings.

“…Shit!” A Cooter Clansman watched blankly while panting in exhaustion, witnessing dozens of Natures be activated by the Stitched Human before him. And their effects, uniformly, landed upon his immediate location, leaving nothing behind in their wake.

Ka-BOOM!

A vortex of attacks landed on one section of the battleship and completely destroyed it. Over a dozen Cooter Clansmen stationed at the location died from the attacks.

A second later, they all reappeared around the deck, for they were all at the Life Stage. They had multiple lives to spare. And after dropping down by a level in the Life Stage, they quickly gather their bearings and resumed their attacks.

Boom!

The canons across the battleships promptly aimed at the Stitched Humans and fired off their artillery shells. The Stitched Humans were large targets, so blasting them to bits was pretty easy.

However, that was doing nothing to the situation at hand.

Dozens…hundreds…thousands…tens of thousands…standing on the deck of the Central Peak Battleship and witnessing the sea of Stitched Humans surfacing the water body before him, Bnapbnap expressed with a sullen tone, “Did every Pranic Beast in the Dralh Sea get turned into these grotesque creatures?”

He hadn’t taken action until now and was merely watching everything with a calm and collected expression. His eyes surveyed the sea of Stitched Humans targeting them. He then focused on Prata City in the distance and observed Stitched Humans being launched out of the water like arrows to land within the city.

Faint glows spiked across the sea from time to time, before every volley of Stitched Humans got launched like arrows.

While he continued to observe, a 50-metre-tall Stitched Human blasted him with a punch, alongside activating the various projectile-based Natures from the Pranic Beasts forming its body.

The attack was powerful enough to destroy a section of the Battleship easily. However, it failed to even touch him.

Twenty-eight flashes of gold appeared, tracing about beautiful arcs as they danced through every projectile fired by the Stitched Human and reduced them to dust. The flashes of gold then spun while projecting the appearance of a blooming flower to the external eye and touched the fist.

Within the flower were 28 Spirit Weapons in total, all whirring with rotational and vibrational energy while also revolving nonstop across various axes to create a complex machinery meant to ground the target to dust from every possible weakness that could be exploited.

And this was all consciously controlled in real-time as the Stitched Human couldn’t even defend itself on time. A second earlier, it had focused on Bnapbnap with a bombardment of attacks. A second later, its body collapsed into bits and pieces to rain upon the Dralh Sea.

Bnapbnap calmly eyed at the source of the attacks with an impressed gaze, ’Controlling 28 Spirit Weapons at once? As expected, even in the Brimgan Empire, he must be in a league of his own.’

Anchored to the deck was a disc-shaped Spirit Weapon. The stream of Prana fuelling the psychokinesis to this Spirit Weapon was used like a tangible structure to help prop up the individual in question to a height of two kilometres in the sky.

Standing at this height, far, far beyond the reach of everyone else at the scene, was Brunta Brimgan. From his vantage point, he surveyed the situation below. And under his will, the 28-Spirit Weapons danced across the region to shred through the opponents.

To the eyes of others, his figure seemed to hover stably in the sky. However, if one were to look closely, his figure was falling ever so slightly, at measures less than a centimetre every second. And at the end of the second, his figure would elevate itself by the centimetre’s worth.

The Human Avatar forged by a Brimgan Royal relied on a mineral called Rutham, which had the property of psychokinesis in it. When a Human Avatar was built using this mineral, it granted its user a simple, but extremely overpowered ability.

Primary Nature–Kinesis Deity!

It expanded the Brimgan Royal’s Spirit Weapon range by ten times and also granted the user the strength and speed of psychokinesis to fully take advantage of this range. While everyone had a Spirit Weapon range of 180 metres, the Brimgan Royal, at the same level, had a range of 1.8 kilometres.

And this range stacked across the Life Stage, allowing the Brimgan Emperor, an existence who stood at the peak of the 10-Life Stage, to dominate an entire region with a whopping Spirit Weapon range of 18 kilometres.

His Spirit Weapons were so fast that even Gold Grade Pranic Beasts dropped like mere flies around him, for every Brimgan Emperor tethered at levels where they could simultaneously control Spirit Weapons extremely close to a hundred.

Boom!

As an aurora began to grow in radiance above Prana City, Brunta Brimgan continued to observe the region and finally spotted a certain, far-away location where an individual stood on the sea surface and seemed to be grabbing the nearby Pranic Beasts to create more Stitched Humans, ’There you are!’

“Raid Leader!” Brunta Brimgan activated a Skill to transmit his voice to Bnapbnap on the Battleship’s deck, “I’ve located the culprit. But he’s too far away. I’m not yet skilled enough to maintain an anchor on the sea and engage in a battle against such a powerful opponent.”

“It’s alright, thank you for the assistance.” As if he had been waiting for this very moment, Bnapbnap’s eyes shone with killing intent as sparks burst out of his body, “I’ll destroy the enemy.”

“But how?” Brunta Brimgan frowned, “If you had the same level of cultivation as me, I would have happily accepted this proposition.”

’Even though I hate to admit it, ever since the Cooter Clan came into existence, their Chiefs were always a level stronger than our Emperors.’ Skeptical, he continued to say, “Unfortunately, you’re not at the level of the previous Cooter Clan Chief.”

“You’re merely at the Body Stage.” He argued, “And you cannot assume your Spirit Weapon form either…”

“Your Highness,” Bnapbnap stared up to focus on the small, golden dot that was blinking at an altitude of two kilometres, “Even though the Cooter Clan has repeatedly failed to catch up to the times, we are still a regional power, even without adding the strength of our Deities.”

’The Narlakk in our captivity has been exceptionally cooperative. There’s a lot we learnt about the situation through it.’ As he thought about it, veins popped across Bnapbnap’s face, ’I know for a fact this entire setup is merely a means for the enemy to sharpen their tool, a tool they plan to use against our Deities.’

“Yes, I am not the Cooter Chief,” Bnapbnap expressed his discontent towards Brunta Brimgan’s remarks, “Yes, I am not in the Life Stage either.”

“Yes, I cannot assume my Spirit Weapon form too.” As he spoke, four arcs of lightning rushed at him and gathered behind him, revealing the figures of the Settlement Leaders, “However, there’s a reason the Clan dispatched five of us to the scene.”

With Bnapbnap taking the lead, the five Settlement Leaders joined hands and gradually synchronised their breathing. “Because even though it’s temporary, for the next few minutes, consider our unified existence to be on the same level as our Chief.”

Primary Nature–Lightning Plasma Dominance!

A thundercloud spread across the Battleship and grew without limits by devouring the Dralh Sea’s water. And then, akin to a colossal beast’s roar, came a thunderclap, generating shockwaves across the region.

’W-What’s this?’ From the sky, Brunta Brimgan gasped in shock to see the region gradually grow brighter and brighter until soon, it had become no different to daytime. The cause was the ginormous sphere of lightning that had appeared in the thundercloud’s centre, brimming with enough power to vaporise anything that were to come in contact with it.

And under his stunned gaze, the lightning sphere began to move.
