The atmosphere was awkward when Kai suddenly walked over and said with a cold laugh, "Why bother with them? I saw them at the entrance just now. They came on some crappy electric scooter."

"Such an embarrassment. We have such a high-end property here, and you wouldn’t even dare show up in a second hand crappy car."

"Now you come on some piece-of-shit two-wheeler and have the nerve to act all high and mighty here!"

The more Kai spoke, the angrier he got. He taunted, "But you’re still classmates after all, so I don’t want to see you make too big a fool of yourselves."

He turned to Tina and said, "Tina, have someone bring them two bottles of free water and a few pieces of free watermelon."

"As for the tea, don’t bother brewing it. The cheap stuff is still several hundred per pound. Giving it to them would be a waste."

With that, Kai shouted loudly to the saleswomen around who had eager looks in their eyes, "It’s nothing, nothing! Just keep doing your work."

"They’re not here to buy. They’re just poor students from our school looking for free air conditioning and free water. Don’t mind them."

Linda’s eyes were blazing with anger. Kai straightened his tie and said with a smug smile, "I’ll get back to work. You have no idea how busy I am managing things here."

"As for you two, take the water and watermelon and get the hell out, got it?"

"Our clients here are either rich or powerful. If they see poor losers like you hanging around, it’ll drag down the class of X City."

With that, he turned and walked away with a look of utter contempt. But Tina was still staring at their interlocked hands.

There was clear resentment in her eyes: "What’s going on with you two? You knew I was working here part-time, so you came specifically to embarrass me, didn’t you?"

Before Ryan could speak, Linda spoke up first: "Tina, I’m just here with Ryan to look at properties. I’m not here to cause trouble for you. How can you think that way?"

"Ryan, how affectionate!"

Tina was furious and said sarcastically, "The simp I didn’t want, you’re actually into him now? Linda, I didn’t know you had such bad taste."

"I’ve seen every bit of kindness Ryan has shown you and I’ve kept it in mind. If you don’t appreciate him, then I won’t hold back."

This time Linda was ready to fall out with her. She directly wrapped her arms around Ryan’s arm, pressing her full breasts against it, and looked at her with a hostile expression: "Tina, who do you think you are to meddle in our business?"

That remark left Tina momentarily speechless.
