Sugar Daddy System: Infinite Money, Endless Harem
Chapter 72: Invitation To Auction
"This Ferrari 488, from full import tariffs to custom interior, should be around 700,000."
The salesperson said patiently, "If you want the SF90, ma’am, you’d have to wait about six months."
"No, I think this one is great."
Linda made her decision without any hesitation.
If possible, she would definitely choose this one. She didn’t understand much about the others, but this was the second most expensive. The main reason was that her sense of crisis had been too strong over the past couple of days.
Ginny’s utter disregard in her seductiveness, and what Linda saw as Anna’s undignified humility, everything seemed to mock her for being a fool.
Linda had completely lost confidence. Although she was determined to do better, her rivals were just too formidable.
Instead of being blindly arrogant like Tina, she might as well take advantage of the moment to gain as much as she could.
"Ferrari 488..."
Back at the entrance, Angler said upon hearing it, "Brother, to be honest with you, this car doesn’t hold its value well. Maintenance costs should be similar, so you need to be careful if you’re buying it."
Ryan just glanced up at her and asked, "Linda, is this the one you like?"
Linda was a bit nervous, but still said with a coy look, "Yeah, there were so many cars in there, and I don’t really understand all the specs. I just think this car looks beautiful."
She was now worried that the second most expensive car was priced so high. If she didn’t measure up to Anna in his eyes, a rejection would crush her dignity.
After all, wealthy people aren’t foolish and understand the concept of value for money.
As she nervously lowered her head, not daring to look up, and even afraid to breathe too heavily,
Ryan pulled out his black card and said, "Angler, this car costs 700,000, so just charge 800,000 directly, and take care of the interior and everything else as well."
"Also, open two membership cards here, and put 200,000 into each for future maintenance and repairs."
Angler took the card and handed it to an employee, sighing, "Ryan, I really don’t know how rich you are. Can’t you even blink an eye?"
Ryan gave a playful wink and joked, "I did blink. Are you going to give me a freebie?"
"Get out of here!"
Angler laughed happily. Selling two such top-tier luxury cars wasn’t just about making money for him; it was also a solid boost to his business performance.
Linda sat there uneasily when suddenly a soft hand took hold of hers.
Turning her head, she saw Anna holding her hand, without jealousy or any displeasure, and quietly said, "Don’t panic. Just sit tight. Don’t look like you’ve never seen the world and embarrass Ryan."
The voice was very soft, and actually sounded quite annoying. Anna was the first to accept such benefits, so of course she had experience.
Still, Linda felt a softness in her heart, and her voice trembled uncontrollably as she spoke: "Sister Anna, I understand."
Anna furrowed her delicate brows, squeezed her hand a little tighter, and leaned close to her ear when no one was paying attention, saying:
"If you want to compete with me, you can do it any other time. What you need to do now is not be nervous. Otherwise... you’ll seem mismatched, not a good fit..."
Hearing this, Linda felt as if a light bulb had gone off in her head, and she suddenly became much more clear-headed.
That’s right. She couldn’t lose face now, or she’d be mocked as a gold digger.
At that moment, Angler’s accountant said with a smile:
"As expected of Ryan. You’re the only one who buys luxury cars without installment payments. In all my years on the job, you’re the only one so lavish. Last time, someone who bought a Maybach still had to take out a loan of over 200,000. Looks like I’ll have to work overtime again tonight."
"Sorry for the trouble!"
"Not at all, it’s my job. But Ryan, buying a car in full like this, your wife is truly lucky."
Whether she was his wife or mistress, at least paying in full for a luxury car like this was rare.
Ryan cleared his throat and said, "Anna..."
Anna smiled and stood up. She knew this was her cue to give a tip. Even though she wasn’t the one buying the car tonight, this was a chance to show her magnanimity and prove herself.
Just as she stood up, Angler said very seriously, "Ryan, we’re all brothers here. I haven’t asked too many questions."
"One thing, I know what’s going on with that bastard Hammon. And I know how you’re supporting me here."
"About this matter, I won’t say a word if you want to give tips later. But before your first car is delivered, don’t give any tips."
Ryan said with a helpless, half-laughing tone, "This is my business. Besides, if the car you deliver isn’t up to par or the service there isn’t good, I’ll complain. What’s the big deal?"
"If there’s a problem, don’t complain. I’ll chop off my head for you."
Angler said very seriously, "Brother, no matter what, you trust us, and that’s enough."
"I’ll say it again, if you don’t want to talk, I won’t ask. But if you’re being this formal with me, that’s your mistake."
"No more beer..."
Ryan didn’t say much more. Indeed, the ice bucket was out of beer.
Angler was momentarily stunned, then burst out laughing. The son of the former richest man immediately went and fetched a case of chilled Budweiser himself, opening them and putting them in.
As he continued drinking, Angler asked, "Brother, are you going to the Brilliant Hotel charity cocktail party this weekend?"
Ryan was taken aback, then chuckled, "Go? No way. I’m just a poor guy. Don’t you need an invitation for these things?"
Angler paused, then said, "Right, you’re not from this city, Brother, so you probably didn’t receive the general invitation."
"Tell you what, I’ll have my group and Hammon’s side jointly send you an invitation, okay?"
Ryan was slightly startled: "An invitation? What would I do there?"
"It’s just some charity auctions. Actually, most people go there to network, and if they don’t know each other well, they find a chance to get better acquainted."
Angler quickly explained, "Ryan, it might be a bit boring for young people like us, but you can just treat it as entertainment."
"An auction?"
Ryan looked a bit interested and said, "To be honest, I don’t know anyone in this city, and I don’t want to make small talk with anyone."
"If I go, I want to be able to bid freely, and I don’t care if I offend anyone."
Ryan said very calmly, "I’ve never been to this kind of auction before. I’m just afraid I might offend people without even knowing it."
"I don’t understand all the undercurrents. If I see something I like, I’ll buy it. If there’s any trouble, I’ll leave it to you to handle."
Angler was briefly stunned, then said eagerly, "Of course. It’s a charity auction, if you’re spending money, it’s a good deed. Who would dare to cross you?"
