Stuck in an Island with Twelve Beautiful Women
Chapter 1782
The final beam of light shot upward-and the thirteen merged into one, forming a brilliant spiral that spun above their heads like a halo of molten gold. The ground trembled softly, then split in the center of the room, revealing a spiral staircase made of glowing glass leading downward.
Sol turned to them, his expression serene. "The final passage. The last threshold. If you descend... you’ll never be the same again."
Rose stepped forward, her fingers brushing Jude’s hand. "We never wanted to be the same."
Sophie nodded. "Let’s go."
They descended as one.
The staircase led to a chamber that pulsed with heat and energy, like stepping into the heart of a volcano that loved them. The walls here were covered in vines that bloomed with glowing white flowers, and in the center was a pool-not of water, but of molten light, swirling gently, beckoning.
Sol remained at the top, watching.
Jude approached the pool first. "What is this?"
"A bond," Sol said. "Not just between you all... but between you and the island. If you step in together, if you let yourselves be joined by it, the island will make you part of it. Your bond will become its core."
"What does that mean?" Emma asked.
"It means the island will protect you forever," Sol said. "And it means you will protect it. You’ll never be separated. Not by time. Not by death. Not by anything."
Sophie’s eyes welled with tears. "We’ll be together... truly forever?"
Sol nodded. "If you step in as one."
There was a beat of stillness.
Then Lucy took Jude’s hand. Rose took his other.
One by one, the wives joined hands in a circle around him, their fingers clasping tightly.
Then, all at once, they stepped into the molten light.
It wasn’t fire. It wasn’t pain.
It was home .
The light swallowed them, filled them, made love to every cell in their bodies. They saw visions-of every time they had touched, kissed, moaned, whispered, screamed one another’s names in joy. They saw every night, every tear, every tremble. They saw the first time they’d looked into each other’s eyes and known- this was it.
When they emerged, they weren’t glowing.
They were the glow.
Jude looked at his hands. They shimmered faintly, like the surface of a star. His wives stood around him, each radiating the same soft light, the same eternal warmth. He touched Sophie’s cheek, and she gasped softly, closing her eyes as his fingers trailed down her neck.
They didn’t need to speak.
They were one.
They had become the island’s heart.
And the island... had become theirs.
The chamber remained silent.
Not an empty silence, but the kind that followed a storm-a silence filled with meaning.
Jude looked at each of his wives. The faint radiance surrounding them slowly settled beneath their skin, becoming part of them instead of merely surrounding them. The warmth of the molten light lingered in their hearts, connecting them in a way that no words could ever describe.
Then the island breathed.
The flowers lining the chamber folded their glowing petals inward at once. The vines withdrew into the stone walls. The molten pool slowly hardened into a mirror-like crystal floor.
A low, ancient voice echoed through the cavern.
"The Heart has awakened."
The words came from everywhere.
Not from the walls.
Not from the ceiling.
From the island itself.
---
Outside, the entire island changed.
Towering trees straightened as though waking from a thousand-year sleep. Rivers shimmered with silver reflections even beneath the afternoon sun. Mountains that had stood motionless for centuries released clouds of glowing birds into the sky.
Far across the island, creatures Jude and the others had never encountered lifted their heads.
White stags with crystal antlers.
Foxes whose tails resembled drifting mist.
Great sea turtles larger than cottages rising gently from the ocean before disappearing beneath the waves once again.
None of them looked hostile.
They looked... relieved.
---
The thirteen emerged from the underground temple just as twilight painted the sky with violet and gold.
Everyone stopped.
The familiar valley surrounding their home had transformed.
The orchard they had planted years before now stretched for miles.
Flowers bloomed in impossible colors.
Streams floated several inches above the ground before gently settling back into their riverbeds.
"The island..." Hannah whispered.
"It healed," Susan finished.
Sol stepped beside them.
"It remembered."
Rose slowly turned toward him.
"Remembered what?"
Sol smiled.
"What it was before it became an island."
The group exchanged puzzled glances.
"What do you mean?" Stella asked.
Sol pointed toward the horizon.
"The island was never land."
Thunder rolled across a cloudless sky.
"It was once a living world."
---
That night they gathered around their familiar campfire.
Only it wasn’t truly a campfire anymore.
The flames burned blue and silver without consuming the wood beneath them.
No one seemed surprised.
Everything felt... natural now.
Sol began telling them a story.
"Long before oceans divided kingdoms, there existed a wandering realm called Elyrion."
As he spoke, glowing images appeared within the fire.
Floating forests.
Cities carved from living crystal.
People walking beside dragons whose wings sparkled like constellations.
"It wasn’t a kingdom," Sol continued.
"It was a living soul. Every mountain, every river, every creature shared one heartbeat."
"What happened?" Audrey asked quietly.
"The First Keeper became afraid."
The images darkened.
"He believed love made the realm weak. He severed every bond that united its people."
The beautiful world fractured.
Mountains split.
The seas swallowed cities.
Light vanished beneath endless storms.
"The world collapsed into a single fragment."
The fire showed the familiar outline of their island.
"It slept."
"For thousands of years."
"Waiting."
Jude looked toward the darkness beyond the trees.
"And we woke it."
"No," Sol answered gently.
"You reminded it."
---
Later that evening, while everyone rested beneath the stars, Jude wandered toward the shoreline.
The sea was calm.
Almost perfectly still.
As he stared across the endless water, something unexpected happened.
The ocean reflected not the moon...
...but another island.
