Chapter 794: 12 Capital Heavens Ten Thousand Beasts Array

First, Duanmu Xie had called him a “freak,” and now Monk Bu Se was calling him a “weirdo.” It was simply because his encounters and methods were too astonishing.

The medicinal garden that now lay before Monk Bu Se was so incredibly valuable that it nearly shattered his composure…

Monk Bu Se had no choice but to rein in his thoughts and calm himself. It took him a good while to regain his stability.

The two wondrous effects of the Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit were both incredibly precious.

However, they could only be brought to their full potential by being brewed into wine.

To use this fruit, wine was an absolute necessity.

Even though Monk Bu Se never drank, facing an entire garden of Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit, he found it truly difficult to maintain his self-control!

And these were Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruits that were over ten thousand years old!

As for the Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit’s other effects—for instance, how the wine brewed from it was extremely rich in Spiritual Qi and easily absorbed—they seemed less important compared to the first two.

It was said that because of these indescribable effects, many Sects had tried to cultivate the Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit themselves. However, most attempts ended in failure, as the specific environment required for its growth was incredibly difficult to find.

Several Legendary Sects had once even come to blows, abandoning all pretense of peace, over a single, small Spirit Field suitable for cultivating the Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit.

Wine lovers certainly regarded this fruit as a supreme treasure, but even those who didn’t drink coveted it immensely.

It was a truly rare Spirit Fruit.

It bloomed once every thousand years and bore fruit once every three thousand, a level of rarity that had all but relegated the Spirit Fruit to the realm of legend.

Monk Bu Se knew Shen Lang was blessed with immense good fortune, but he never imagined he would get to ride his coattails and stumble upon such a vast field of Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit!

A garden nearly an acre in size, densely packed with Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit!

And they were more than twice the size of the legendary three-thousand-year fruits!

‘I fear these Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit have truly been growing here for over ten thousand years… Amitabha, is this a test to make me renounce my vows? With so many Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit here, and ten-thousand-year-old ones at that, not only will I be forced to break my vow against alcohol… I’ll probably become a drunkard!’

‘Back when Uncle Master Chaos and Ancestor Kong Jing spoke of him, they said his good fortune was so profound as to be unparalleled in this world… Now I finally believe them!’

‘If that’s the case, then I won’t hold back…’

Monk Bu Se rubbed his hands together, ready to charge into the garden.

He had just lifted his foot when he pulled it back. ‘I’m doomed. I only came to this Dragon Scale Divine Hall hoping for an opportunity to break through, I never thought I’d run into so many Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures! If I don’t have enough Jade Boxes, how am I supposed to store all these Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit after I pick them?’

‘Without the right kind of storage, even if I put them in a Sumeru Ring, the medicinal properties of the Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit will continuously leak away!’

Monk Bu Se felt like dying.

‘No, I’d better ask the Grandmaster for help…’

In his dilemma, Monk Bu Se finally thought of Shen Lang again and began to call out furtively, “Grandmaster? Grandmaster, can you hear me?”

Inside the Heaven-Sealing Cauldron, Shen Lang, who had been meditating with his eyes closed, opened them to see the enormous medicinal garden displayed on the light screen.

‘Yumu Cave Blessed Land truly lives up to its name as a Pocket World Blessed Land. Its profound heritage is absolutely incomparable to that of an ordinary Legendary Sect… I haven’t even gone that far, and I’ve already found a medicinal garden like this. Lu Qianqiu is certainly showing his sincerity!’

With a flick of his will, Shen Lang summoned Yuan Bupu, Yin Qianshang, and Flower Soul to his side.

“Monk Bu Se needs a hand. The three of you, go with him and gather all the Spirit Herb Spirit Fruit along the path. If you run out of Jade Boxes, put them directly into your Sumeru Rings and bring them here. I’ll set up a Spirit Gathering Array to store the Spirit Herbs and Spirit Fruits.”

Shen Lang said, pointing to the light screen before them.

“Understood,” Yuan Bupu and the other two replied in unison.

The three of them had been immersed in their Cultivation. They only knew that Shen Lang had arrived at the Dragon Scale Divine Hall, but were unaware of the details.

Hearing Shen Lang’s command, they were all a bit perplexed… ‘Since when did harvesting Spirit Fruits require so many powerful experts to work together?’

‘Could there be powerful Demon Beasts on guard?’

‘If there really were powerful Demon Beasts, sending out Duanmu Xie would be the most logical choice.’

The three of them turned to look at the light screen simultaneously.

One look was all it took to give them a huge shock!

“Holy crap, this can’t be an Illusion Realm, can it? No way!” Yin Qianshang was the first to exclaim.

Flower Soul snorted. “Are you an idiot? Our lord has already given the order, and you still think this is an Illusion Realm? Do you really think he can’t tell the difference?”

The two never got along and would squabble at every opportunity.

This time, however, Yin Qianshang didn’t retort. He stared at the medicinal garden and cried out, “Heavens, so many Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit! My lord, we’re going to hit the jackpot!”

“‘Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit’?” Yuan Bupu and Flower Soul both looked confused, clearly unfamiliar with the item.

Shen Lang smiled. “What’s wrong with hitting the jackpot? The Dragon Scale Divine Hall is the heart of the Yumu Cave Blessed Land. Don’t be surprised by anything you see here. Alright, I’m leaving this to you three. Move quickly, we don’t want any unexpected complications.”

With that, Shen Lang’s will stirred, and he instantly teleported the three of them out.

Monk Bu Se was still calling out for Shen Lang when the three figures appeared. He instinctively retreated a few meters.

Just then, Shen Lang’s voice echoed, “Bu Se, work with them. Pick the Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit and put them in the Jade Boxes first. Once you run out of boxes, put them directly into a Sumeru Ring, but you must hand them over to me within twenty minutes of doing so. I will place them all in the Spirit Gathering Array to prevent the Spirit Fruit’s Spiritual Qi from dissipating.”

“Also, the leaves of the Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit are treasures in their own right. They can be used to refine Top Grade Qi Recovery Pills and can also neutralize hundreds of poisons… Strip them all. Don’t leave a single leaf behind!”

The four of them let out a cheer and pounced like a pack of wolves, beginning to strip the medicinal garden bare.

Wherever they passed, the Fiery Fire Intoxicated Lotus Fruit hanging on the branches vanished.

Every last leaf was stripped away, leaving nothing but bare stems!

It was as if a swarm of locusts had descended!

And so, after picking the medicinal garden clean, the four continued upward without pause, plundering everything in their path!

The people of Yumu Cave Blessed Land had vanished abruptly long ago, and all the Spirit Herb Spirit Fruit, precious ores, and various materials they hadn’t had time to take with them now fell into Shen Lang’s lap.

With Lu Qianqiu disabling the Restrictions ahead of them, the “locust quartet” moved as if they were on steroids, marching with vigor, fording rivers and climbing mountains.

Their plundering was so swift that even Shen Lang, watching from the cauldron, was left breathless…

Another four days went by. Just as Shen Lang’s understanding of the Demon Gate and the Abyss Realm had improved significantly, bringing him to the verge of a complete breakthrough in comprehension, the “locust quartet’s” plundering finally came to a halt.

They had reached the second level of the Dragon Scale Divine Hall.

While they were still a good distance from the second level’s platform, Shen Lang detected immense Spiritual Power fluctuations up ahead and had Yuan Bupu and the others return to the Heaven-Sealing Cauldron.

He, at last, revealed himself, advancing side-by-side with Monk Bu Se.

The second level’s platform in the Dragon Scale Divine Hall seemed slightly smaller than the first. A vast palace took up nearly the entire platform, embedded in the massive cliff face like a single, lustrous pearl.

Aside from a Stone Gate over thirty feet high that served as an entrance, the entire structure was sealed shut.

The Stone Gate, however, had already been pushed aside, leaving only a small portion of it still in place, looking as if it might come crashing down at any moment.

Just inside the gate, a teleportation light screen shimmered like the surface of water.

Looking up, terrifying auras swirled around the windowsills, indicating that powerful Restrictions were active and conveying a clear message to all outsiders: “No Trespassing.”

“Grandmaster, it looks like someone has already been here,” Monk Bu Se said hesitantly.

Shen Lang nodded. “It’s not surprising. The path we took was safe, but we made quite a few detours to… ahem, to treasure hunt. It’s only natural that those Emperor Martial Realm experts arrived here ahead of us.”

“So, should we just head right in?” Monk Bu Se asked, uncertain.

The last time they entered a Teleportation Gate by the cliff, they were met with a horde of countless Puppets blocking their path.

To be blunt, if Shen Lang hadn’t been there, no one—aside from the Demonized Mu Feng—would have likely survived the onslaught of those Puppets in that corridor.

‘If we go in again… what if there are more powerful Demon Beasts or Puppets, and just like last time, our retreat is cut off…’

“Don’t overthink it,” Shen Lang chuckled, then walked nonchalantly toward the Stone Gate. “Worrying about all that is pointless. We either turn back the way we came or enter this hall. There are no other options.”

Even if there was real danger inside, Shen Lang subscribed to the principle of dealing with problems as they arose. With his supreme skill came great confidence; why would he fear mere traps and Restrictions?

Besides, Red Dragon Lu Qianqiu hadn’t sent any warnings, which meant that even if there was danger, it wouldn’t be a deathtrap.

Shen Lang and Monk Bu Se braced themselves and stepped through the Teleportation Gate.

The moment he materialized, Shen Lang found himself standing in a grand and majestic hall.

Behind them, the light of the Teleportation Gate faded, leaving a solid wall in its place. Just like before, their retreat was completely cut off.

Shen Lang’s gaze flickered. He gave the wall a second look, his Silver Eyes of Truth flashing open for an instant before vanishing.

This time, however, it was eerily quiet. There wasn’t the slightest sound.

There was no repeat of the chaotic, clattering battle from before.

But when his Silver Eyes of Truth revealed the Restrictions embedded in the wall, Shen Lang’s heart leaped into his throat.

Turning to survey his surroundings, Shen Lang saw dozens of enormous pillars rising from the floor of the hall.

Each pillar was carved with bizarre, never-before-seen beasts, each one startlingly lifelike.

The eyes of these beasts glowed—some an eerie green, others a deep blood-red.

But without exception, all of them were staring intently at Shen Lang and the monk, looking as if they might leap from the pillars at any second.

Scattered around these pillars were several faintly shimmering shields of light. Within a few of them, there appeared to be people!

When Shen Lang saw the pillars, his expression remained calm.

But the moment he saw the surrounding light shields, his face fell and he cried out, “This is bad! It’s the Twelve All Heaven Beast Array!”

The words had barely left his lips when rings of flashing light began to erupt from every pillar in the hall!

The beasts carved upon them roared in unison, leaping one by one from the stone and lunging straight for the two men!
