Chapter 930: Fire Essence Stone
“Yeah. It’s me.” Max suppressed a chuckle as he walked over to the stall he bought the mask from yesterday.
The stall owner immediately covered the masks with a cloth when he saw him reach out to take a mask and coldly said, “Go to other stalls, I don’t want to sell you.”
Max shook his head and waved his hand, producing 20 shining High-Grade Mana Stones that floated before him and calmly asked, “Why not?”
“Hmph! Take one.” The stall owner snorted as he removed the cloth-cover and summoned the mana stones to his side with a wave of his hand. Then, he carefully inspected each one.
A nearby stall owner saw this and laughed derisively, “You are going senile, old man. What’s there to check about mana stones?”
The stall owner shot him a cold look, “What do you know?”
The man just shrugged.
Max chose a mask, put it on his face and discreetly activated it with his Bloodline Energy.
He then gave the stall owner a nod and entered the Trade Mountain.
When he walked over to the place he had set up his booth, he noticed there were more people around the place. He also noticed the cloaked woman who wanted to buy his talismans.
’Good. I wouldn’t need to waste time waiting.’ Max thought and walked over.
Shua! Shua! Shua!
Immediately, several gazes fixed on him.
Ignoring them, he calmly took out the bedsheet he used yesterday and placed it down before sitting on it and taking out his wares—11 Fire Elemental Talismans and a piece of paper on which he wrote “Unique Mid-Grade, Tier 4 Fire Elementals. Price: 60 High Grade Mana Stones.
Swoosh!
Once he was done, the cloaked woman immediately appeared before him. After a glance at the price, she took out 480 High Grade Mana Stones and gave them to him. “Here, I would like to buy 8 of them.”
Max thought for a moment, then said, “GIve me 20 more and I’ll give you 10.”
A hint of surprise flashed in her eyes. Then, she quickly took out another 20 and handed them to him.
“Thank you.” she said.
Max gave them 10 talismans and shook his head, “No need for that since I had already agreed to sell you at 50 yesterday.”
The woman didn’t say anything in response, but after a moment, she gave a communication crystal. “If you ever need my help, please reach out to me. I’ll do whatever I can to be of your assistance.”
Max thought for a moment, then accepted it.
After she left, another customer arrived and asked, “Can I take a look at it? I want to see what’s so unique about them.”
Max glanced around and saw that while there were people paying attention to him, none seemed interested in buying the talisman. So, he nodded, “Go ahead.”
The guy inspected it for a few moments, then muttered, “Hm, it’s somehow different from the ones I use.” Then he looked at Max and said, “How about this, sell me this for 30. If it’s good enough for a mid-grade Tier 4 talisman, I and my friend will buy more from you.”
“Alright.” Max nodded in agreement, not wanting to waste too much time trying to sell it for a few more mana stones.
Now that he was able to create these Tier 4 talismans with not much difficulty, he wouldn’t be lacking in mana stones. Besides, this batch had cost him less than 10 High Grade Mana Stones to create one. So, he was still making a 200% profit on it.
“Good.” The man nodded in satisfaction, paid him 30 High Grade Mana Stones and left.
Seeing this, Max inwardly shook his head and stored the bedsheet away before he began exploring the stalls.
Including the 30 mana stones he left after paying 20 to buy the mask, he now had 560 High Grade Mana Stones.
Once again, he used 450 and using the random teleportation talisman, he left the mountain and an hour later, he returned to his villa.
…
He didn’t know when he used the random teleportation talisman, several people had shot out of the Trade Mountain and released their Divine Senses without holding back, scanning large swaths of area to find him.
If he had used the concealing talisman even a moment later than he did, he might have been found out and his identity might have been revealed.
…
In his cultivation chamber, he took out two wooden cases. Both of them had a Low Grade Tier 5 Spirit Replenishment Pill which he bought for 200 High Grade Mana Stones after haggling for a bit.
He then took out a stack of twenty upper mid grade, Tier 4 talisman paper and small jar of attributeless talisman ink. Both of these had cost him 42 Mana Stones
In the end, he took out a crimson stone, the size of a chicken egg.
As he held it in his hand, he could feel the slightly exhausted Fire Energy Traces in his Bloodline subtly stirring.
“It’s worthy of being a Fire Essence Stone.” He murmured in amazement, and rightly so.
Yesterday, when he had injected his Bloodline Sense into the piece of suspected Tier 7 talisman, his Fire Energy Traces had stirred, but only a little. But now, just holding the Fire Essence Stone in his hand was enough for them to stir. It showed the Fire Energy in the stone was purer than the piece of talisman.
He closed his eyes and injected his Bloodline Sense into it. Immediately, he felt an extremely dense Fire Energy. It seemed to be on a higher tier than the energy in the piece of talisman or the other Fire Energy sources he had used yesterday to recover the Fire Energy Traces.
However…
He frowned. It wasn’t as pure as he expected.
“No. It’s purer, but there are some impurities mixed in it.” he muttered, then thought, ’So it’s considered Low Grade Fire Essence Stone because of these impurities.’
A moment later, he tried to remove the impurities from a portion, but as soon as his Bloodline Sense came into contact, the fire energy turned ferocious and began burning it.
Swoosh!
Max quickly retracted it, his face pale.
“Tsk.” he clicked his tongue in annoyance. The same had happened yesterday with the piece of talisman and the same happened now, frustrating him.
“I’ll have to recover my mana core as soon as possible so I can reactivate my Divine Sense and merge it with Bloodline Sense. Their merger would surely result in a powerful Sense that wouldn’t be burned so easily.” he clenched his fist.
Just as he was about to put the Fire Essence Stone away and take a Spirit Replenishment Pill, he suddenly heard a weak, almost inaudible, cooing voice.
Co~
“Hm?” His eyes lit up and he quickly took out the Beast Storage Pouch from his robe and looked into it with his Bloodline Sense.
There, the massive Golden-Winged Python was lying with its eyes closed shut and chaotic energies flowing in the several deep wounds on its body.
[Are you awake, little guy?] he transmitted.
He waited. Several seconds later, the python’s child-like voice sounded in his ears, [Pa…pa. Hun…gry. Eat…”
