Chapter 835 - Four Representatives

Kyle’s Sensing Formation Array sent an alarm to him, and when he saw the readings, his eyes widened in shock.

‘What the fuck happened?!’

‘Why are there four Unique Crushers near my Planet?!’

An image appeared in front of Kyle, and he saw four different people standing beside each other. Surprisingly, none of them charged towards his Planet, which meant that they were probably not there to kill him.

This made Kyle sigh in relief. ‘There’s no way I can kill four Unique Crushers at the same time.’

‘But then, why are they here?’

Kyle also noticed that all four of them wore different uniforms. He recognized two of the uniforms, but he didn’t recognize the other two.

One person wore the dark-blue uniform of the Array of Stars, while another person wore the black and white uniform of the Contrast Empire. One person wore a golden uniform, while the last person wore a green and blue uniform.

As Kyle looked at the display, the person with the green and blue uniform looked directly into the display. It was almost like he could see Kyle.

Naturally, this was a member of Inner World. Green and blue represented life, and worlds were filled with life.

Gold was the color of the Grand Exchange for obvious reasons.

“We are four representatives of Inner World, the Contrast Empire, the Array of Stars, and the Grand Exchange,” the man in black and white said. “The Contrast Empire has granted us this unique opportunity to talk to you due to the unusual circumstances. We are not here to fight you. This is a purely diplomatic visit. Please, come out so that we can talk to you.”

Kyle took a deep breath and became a bit nervous. ‘If I refuse to show up, they might suspect something. However, if I show up, they might notice my real identity.’

Kyle weighed his options. ‘I have to meet them. These are representatives of all four big powers involved in the Secondary Sector. If I displease all of them, they will change the rules again to get rid of me.’

‘I can only hope that my Aura Concealing Formation Array is good enough. It won’t fool any of the teleporters or the guy from Inner World, but I can only hope that nobody thinks about some old criminal from millennia ago.’

Kyle took a deep breath and flew out from his Planet.

The four Unique Crushers noticed Kyle and furrowed their brows. They could tell that Kyle’s aura was unnatural and jumbled up, which meant that he was using an Aura Concealing Formation Array. This was like wearing a mask during a diplomatic visit. Something like that was seen as uncooperative, needlessly secretive, and untrustworthy. They couldn’t even be certain that this was actually Azure Comet.

Naturally, the Unique Crusher from Inner World immediately saw through the Aura Concealing Formation Array, allowing him to sense Kyle’s actual aura.

The other three looked at the representative from Inner World. They wanted to know if something was amiss.

“This should be Azure Comet,” the representative of Inner World transmitted to the others. “I don’t see why he would want to keep his aura hidden, but I don’t see anything strange.”

This alleviated some of the doubts of the other three, but they still weren’t comfortable with Kyle’s hidden aura.

When Kyle noticed that none of them attacked him, he released a covert sigh of relief inside his azure armor. Seems like the guy from Inner World doesn’t know about Descending Mountain.

That was to be expected. None of them had ever been to this Secondary Sector before.

They had been busy with their own training and their own duties. They didn’t know a lot about this Secondary Sector’s history or what had happened. They only knew that they were here to deal with Azure Comet in some form.

All four of them wanted to know why Azure Comet was hiding his aura, but none of them dared to ask him. After all, they didn’t want to make him angry at them. They were here to recruit him, not to make him an enemy.

Well, most of them.

“Greetings, Azure Comet,” the representative from the Contrast Empire said. “All four of us are here today for our own reasons. As in accordance with the agreement, we will be representing our Organizations and will talk to you in private, one by one. Are you fine with that?”

Kyle nodded. “Sure.”

“Then, I will be first,” the representative from the Contrast Empire said as he stepped forward. Naturally, the order had already been determined previously.

The representative changed from speech to voice transmission to keep the next conversation private.

“The Contrast Empire invites Azure Comet to join as an Outer Disciple,” he transmitted. “You will receive a substantial hiring bonus, and as soon as you become a Sage, you will immediately become an Inner Disciple. The hiring bonus will be the equivalent of what you would have received in your lifetime if you had joined as an Outer Disciple in the Transcendent Realm.”

Kyle blinked a couple of times when he heard that. ‘So, that’s why they’re here. They want to recruit me.’

Then, he looked at the other three representatives. ‘Oh, boy. If I accept one of their offers, the other three will probably be pissed. Why is this shit always happening to me? Why can’t I just stay on my Planet to learn some Laws?’

Kyle looked back at the representative from the Contrast Empire and tried to think of an answer. How was he supposed to represent himself? Salivart? Friendly? Cooperative?

“Thank you for the offer, but I want to listen to the other three first before I make a decision,” Kyle transmitted.

“I’m sorry, but I have explicit orders,” the representative transmitted back. “While I personally would like to give you time to consider the offers, my orders are different. The Contrast Empire wants an immediate answer. You have to accept or decline the offer before you can talk to the others.”

Kyle felt a mix of frustration and nervousness. Sure enough, the Contrast Empire was overbearing.

Kyle didn’t answer immediately.

When the representative saw Kyle’s hesitation, he sighed. “I’m also supposed to tell you something else,” he transmitted.

“This offer acts as a way out for you. Your actions have caused trouble for the Secondary Sector. The Contrast Empire views its Secondary Sectors as very important, and it will do everything in its power to keep them operational.”

“This Secondary Sector, in its current form, is not truly operational, and the Contrast Empire wants to change that. The best way is for you to leave the Secondary Sector… in one way or another. I hope you understand the deeper meaning in my words.”

Kyle took a deep breath.

‘Comply or die, huh?’

‘I could accept the offer. If they let me stay until I’m a Legendary Crusher, it would be for the best. I could stay here, and when I advance, I will simply return to my old identity as Bang.’
