Chapter 824 - Fortress
Voidwave’s leadership waited for Kyle to arrive so that they could fulfill their trade.
Yet, instead of Kyle, something else arrived.
Voidwave saw a construct made of metal flying towards them.
A Golem.
Golems were rarely seen in the Supreme World. It was not because they were hard to construct or expensive. There simply wasn’t much use for them.
What could they do?
Harvest minerals? Formation Arrays could do that faster and cheaper.
Run Formation Arrays? Simple Formation Arrays ran automatically, while complex Formation Arrays needed an operator with a Soul and sometimes even with specific Laws.
Golems didn’t have a will, which meant they could not learn any Laws. Sure, by including certain functions, they could exhibit the power of a Law, but Formation Arrays could also do that.
Also, even if a Golem were powerful enough to be of help in a battle, why would anyone want their help? By not engaging with the enemy, one’s Momentum wouldn’t grow as much. Even more, these kinds of Golems were insanely expensive. Again, Formation Arrays could do the same thing but cheaper.
Relay messages and orders? Everyone had Communicators. Even more, it would be cheaper just to hire a manager.
The Golem arrived in front of Voidwave’s leadership. “Greetings, I am here on behalf of my master, Azure Comet.”
Then, the Golem took out the blueprint for the Planet-Moving Formation Array and a map with several marked spots.
Voidwave could make their own Planet-Moving Formation Arrays, but just out of curiosity, they decided to pay Kyle for his design.
The map and the design floated to Voidwave’s Head, who gave 190 Grade Five Energy Stones to the Golem.
The Golem politely excused itself and left.
The people of Voidwave looked at the design together.
“It’s not too bad,” one of them said. “Using the Centers of five different Fulfilled Crushers as an Energy Source requires a lot of coordination and planning during the design. Even if he didn’t go through a formal education about Formation Arrays, he still made great strides.”
“It’s fine,” another one said. “I can think of at least seven ways to improve the design, but I guess you can sell it for 50 Grade Five Energy Stones.”
The people of Voidwave shared a couple of half-hearted praises and criticisms about Kyle’s Formation Array before they decided to focus on the Planets they had bought.
They arrived near one of their newly bought Planets and decided to use Kyle’s Formation Array.
Slowly, the Planet started moving, but some of the members became annoyed.
They exchanged several concepts with each other, and within a couple of minutes, their positions shifted.
The Formation Array became unstable for a moment before it stabilized again.
Then, the Planet accelerated at thrice the earlier rate without any additional cost.
From a distance, on top of the Azure Comet, Kyle watched Voidwave improve his Formation Array in a matter of minutes.
‘Sure enough, I can’t compare to the actual pros,’ Kyle thought.
Then, he noticed more people appearing, and he sent his Golem out again.
The reason why Kyle was using a golem was simple.
He didn’t want anyone to recognize his real identity.
Over the next couple of days, over a hundred Crushers visited the Azure Comet before leaving again.
One by one, the sold Planets were being moved away by the buyers. The speed at which the Planets moved was slow, but Crushers had enough time on their hands.
The migration of Planets took almost ten years, but when everything was said and done, Kyle was left with a massive territory that only contained about 400 Planets.
His Karmic Luck had barely changed within the last ten years. Killing Ray of Judgment, who had a Sin Aura, gave Kyle some Karmic Luck, but it wasn’t a lot.
Selling the Planets gave Kyle a good chunk of Karmic Luck, but it wasn’t enough to get rid of his Sin Flames. Simply gifting these Planets to the other powers would have probably been enough to gain one or two levels of Karmic Luck, but Kyle decided that the money was of more value to him.
As Kyle looked at the 400 Planets he was left with, he scratched the back of his head before shrugging.
‘Yeah, well, might as well make the Azure Comet even bigger.’
Kyle harvested one Planet after another, fusing them with his Azure Comet.
The Azure Comet became bigger once again, and within just a few days, it reached its original size of over a million kilometers in diameter.
However, while its size had returned to its old peak, its gravitational influence had grown much stronger.
Only Minor Crushers and stronger could escape from the Azure Comet’s gravitational influence.
When Kyle took note of the increased gravity, he got an idea. ‘This could be quite useful.’
He continued harvesting Planets, and after a couple more days, the gravity became so strong that only Major Crushers could escape from its influence.
Yet, Kyle didn’t stop there. He kept harvesting Planets. When all 400 Planets were harvested, Kyle focused on the powerful force that was trying to pull him downward.
By now, the Azure Comet had become the biggest Planet in the entire Secondary Sector with a diameter of over ten million kilometers.
Its gravitational influence was so powerful that only Fulfilled Crushers with a powerful Complex Law could escape.
90% of Fulfilled Crushers would not be able to leave the Planet on their own. They would be stuck unless someone saved them.
They wouldn’t be able to fly away from the Planet, and if they decided to go deeper, the gravity would get so strong that they would be turned into a blob.
The Gravity Core of the Azure Comet had become so powerful that not even a Sage could destroy or harvest it. Sure, the Sage could destroy the Planet, but not the Gravity Core.
Even more, the gravity was so powerful that it even converted certain kinds of Energy into matter, essentially making it immune to one of the two ways one could destroy a Planet.
The most common way to destroy a Planet was to keep attacking its surface. Powerful attacks would launch gigantic pieces of the Planet into space, reducing its mass. One could also turn the pieces into gas, which would also be launched into space by the shockwaves of the attacks. There was also a way to convert earth and metal into Earth and Metal Energy, which would also scatter. Over a long period, the Planet would lose more and more of its mass until only the Gravity Core was left.
The other way to destroy a Planet was to destroy the Gravity Core. The Planet would no longer be held together, and it would break into pieces.
Every Gravity Core had a certain level of attraction towards Energy. Elemental Energies floating through the void of space would be attracted to them, and they would slowly turn into matter. This was one of the primary reasons why Planets of a certain level of gravity also had a corresponding size.
At some point, the distance between the Gravity Core and space would be so great that it could no longer attract enough Energy to grow.
The Azure Comet’s Gravity Core had become so powerful that it barely allowed any Energy to escape its gravitational influence.
Even if ten Fulfilled Crushers kept attacking the Azure Comet, they would never be able to reduce its size. The only way would be to use Formation Arrays to turn the Azure Comet’s mass into Energy.
However, there was also a problem with that. In order to use the Formation Arrays, they needed to go to the Azure Comet, and if they did that, they would be stuck on its surface until someone could save them.
The Azure Comet had become a massive fortress.
It had become the biggest Planet in the entire Secondary World by far.
It was completely filled with defensive Formation Arrays.
It could trap almost all attackers.
Kyle had created the biggest and most powerful fortress in the entire Secondary Sector.
Of course, it didn’t take long until people noticed that Azure Comet had turned about 20% of the entire Secondary Sector into a Planet-less void.
Once more, a wave of shocking news traveled through the Secondary Sector.
