Chapter 775 - Having Value
The Blessing of the Lord activated, and Kyle felt an overwhelmingly powerful presence locking onto him.
Kyle remembered how powerful the Lord was.
The Void Realm.
The Eleventh Realm.
Someone like that would even be important in the Immortal Dimension. The Chief Overseer of Kyle’s branch of the Array of Stars was only in the Tenth Realm.
Kyle could see the illusory image of the Lord in front of him. Four meters tall, four swords on his back, four arms, covered in scales…
He looked nothing like a human, and yet, he felt quite human.
The Lord seemed like a human who had changed so much over their journey that they no longer resembled one.
“Report,” the Lord spoke.
“Yeah, so, a couple of things happened, Kyle said. “Not sure what’s relevant or not. Maybe it’s better if you just ask questions, and I answer. You’re probably busy.
The Lord blinked once. “What happened to your Karmic Luck? Disciples of the Array of Stars rarely have negative Karmic Luck”
“I killed five Fulfilled Crushers because they tried to kill some people I somewhat knew, Kyle answered. “From the Third Karmic Blessing, it bumped me all the way to the Second Karmic Curse. By the way, I’m a wanted criminal by the Contrast Empire. Talking to me might put you in legal trouble with them.”
The Lord didn’t react to Kyle’s obvious joke. The Cult of Final Fate was the enemy of all of existence. As if they would care about the Contrast Empire’s rules.
However, the Lord reacted to something else Kyle said.
“Did you kill them all at the same time or one by one?” he asked.
“All five of them were in front of me, and I basically just killed them,” Kyle answered with a shrug.
The Lord narrowed his eyes.
While he didn’t show it, the Lord was quite surprised by Kyle’s words.
He could see that Kyle was an Advanced Crusher, and he realized what Kyle’s words represented.
An Advanced Crusher killed five Fulfilled Crushers in a one-versus-five battle, and it didn’t even count as a True Battle. After all, if it had, Kyle wouldn’t have lost so much Karmic Luck.
This was not normal.
“How far did you go in the Transcendent and Primal Realms?” he asked.
“Legendary Transcendent and Legendary Primal,” Kyle said.
The Lord’s brows furrowed. “You’ve created an Imposing Law in the Primal Realm?”
“Yep, Kyle answered as he summoned an illusory hammer in front of him.
The Lord looked at the illusory hammer for a moment.
Sure enough, Kyle had an Imposing Law.
The Lord had known that Kyle was talented. After all, if he hadn’t believed in Kyle’s talent, he wouldn’t have sent him to the Array of Stars.
Yet, becoming a Legendary Primal was extremely outstanding, even when taking the Array of Stars as a standard.
“Who was your enemy in your last True Battle?” the Lord asked.
“A guy from the Contrast Empire,” Kyle said. “He was a Fulfilled Crusher who had two Infused Level 4.5 Complex Laws.”
The Lord seemed to become even more serious, if that was even possible.
Such a Fulfilled Crusher would rank within the top 100 Fulfilled Crushers in the entire Supreme World.
Kyle was an Advanced Crusher.
“What advantages did you have over your opponent?” the Lord asked.
“My Momentum was stronger, I had an Imposing Law, and I have an Infused Mind Law,” Kyle answered.
“You have an Infused Mind Law?” the Lord asked with furrowed brows.
“Yep,” Kyle answered. “Recycled my old Law of Meteor.
The Lord remained silent for some seconds. Creating an Infused Mind Law in the Compression Realm was insane. Usually, the earliest anyone tried to infuse their mind with a Law was in the later stages of the Wisdom Fire Realm.
The Wisdom Fire Realm focused on the mind, and going through it would strengthen the Seeker’s mind tremendously. The different strands of the Laws wouldn’t influence one too much.
Doing that in the Compression Realm was suicidal. One single strand would influence one’s mind to such a degree that it basically wasn’t possible to recover without actively wanting to recover.
For example, if a strand made someone extremely angry.
Ever told an angry person to calm down?
That probably didn’t work. That was because angry people very often wanted to be be angry. They felt justified in their anger. Even more, while trying to create an Infused Mind Law, the angry Seeker might want to push even more strands into their minds since their anger made them unreasonable.
There was basically no way that someone could remain the same without having gone through the tempering that was advancing in the Wisdom Fire Realm.
And yet, as the Lord looked at Kyle, he didn’t seem very different.
In a way, his aura was a bit different compared to the last time they had talked, but that could also just be chalked up to the fact that it had been quite a while.
If Kyle hadn’t told the Lord about his Infused Mind Law, he wouldn’t even have considered the possibility.
“You’ve passed a major hurdle,” the Lord said. “At some point, every Seeker needs to infuse their mind with a Law, and many Seekers die during that process.
“I didn’t know that,” Kyle said. “I just wanted to get stronger.
There were a couple of major hurdles for a Seeker. Most of them were in front of the level inside a Realm that one needed to reach to gain the ability to enter the next Realm.
A Mortal needed to comprehend an entire Law to become a Transcendent. That was extremely difficult, and over 99% of Mortals in the Third Realm failed.
Becoming a Primal needed a Level Two Law, which was also extremely difficult for most people.
Many Primals never managed to comprehend the entire Law of Body, making it impossible for them to become Crushers.
Yet, to become a Sage, one needed to do something even crazier.
Kill and consume three other Major Crushers.
That meant, at the absolute most, only 25% of Major Crushers could become Advanced Crushers. Of course, the actual number was far lower. Sometimes, both sides died, Sometimes, one Major Crusher killed more Major Crushers than necessary.
The real number was actually at roughly ten percent.
Kyle fulfilled all of these requirements with ease, but that was not the norm.
Over 95% of all Seekers had problems fulfilling these requirements.
And, apparently, creating an Infused Mind Law was one of these hurdles.
“You have grown more powerful than I had hoped,” the Lord said. “Your survival and loyalty are important to us. I want to take this opportunity to address some things.
Kyle noticed that the Lord’s tone had shifted by quite a bit.
“That’s kinda like what happened with the Chief Overseer. Initially, the guy wanted to finish our conversations as quickly as possible, but then, he actually took time out of his day to talk
to me.
‘Guess the same thing is happening here, and the reason why this is happening is obvious.’
‘It’s because of my Battle-Strength. I’m actually worth the time investment.’
“That also means I can negotiate.
“What is your opinion of the Cult and your job as a Parasite?” the Lord asked.
Kyle became a bit nervous but also a bit hopeful.
He doubted that he could lie to someone with such power, which kinda meant that he had to be honest.
