Strongest Hammer God

Chapter 502 Prototype

‘Well, who cares? Just gotta continue. What’s the worst that could happen?’

Kyle had already been trying to comprehend the Law of the Meteor for 13 years.

This had been his longest session of Law Comprehension so far, and he wasn’t close to being done.

As he kept experimenting, the years continued to pass.

Eventually, a second new Transcendent was born, and things became very similar to how they had been decades ago.

One big power in the north, and one big power in the south.

However, this time, the Transcendents almost didn’t get involved in the day-to-day politics of their respective territories.

They were busy trying to comprehend more Fragments.

If they could comprehend a powerful Fragment, they could kill the other Transcendent without having to risk their lives.

Then, they could be the rulers of the entire world.

Well, except for the World Peak Kingdom to the west and the Twilight Duchy to the east, but those were relatively small territories.

Neither Silvester nor the Chief had gotten involved with the other powers. They were fine with remaining in their territories.

The Chief was still busy comprehending the remaining Fragments of the Law of Metal, while Silvester was working on comprehending Yin-Metal.

Meanwhile, Kyle managed to create more strange phenomena with his experiments.

Some of them almost weren’t useless!

For example, he managed to create a pebble that detonated into a storm of fire and cutting wind.

Sadly, the fire dissolved the cutting aspect of the wind, and the cutting aspect of the wind dispersed the flames.

It was like a fusion of the three things, but instead of increasing their powers, it decreased them.

But hey! At least he managed to fuse them!

Another three years passed, and Kyle finally managed to create something that wasn’t bad.

A grey flame that turned into a beam.

It was pretty fast, pretty hot, and pretty hard.

‘That’s not too bad, but not what I have in mind,’ Kyle thought. ‘At least I’m learning a lot about how the different kinds of Ether interact with each other.’

By now, Kyle had created an entire framework and procedure regarding fusing the different kinds of Ether.

He was making actual progress.

Sebastian had visited Kyle again just to tell him that he still hadn’t comprehended any additional Fragments.

Apparently, understanding the Fragments of the Body was not as easy as comprehending Yin-Lightning.

‘Of course it’s not that easy for him,’ Kyle thought. ‘This guy has an insane talent for lightning, and he has only worked on lightning for his entire life. He’s probably not used to working with other kinds of Ether. I also wouldn’t be great when it comes to comprehending Fragments of the Law of Water.’

Sebastian was already locked into comprehending different forms of lightning to a large degree.

Since all his Law Comprehension experience had been specialized, he had a lack of generalized experience in Law Comprehension.

Luckily, Kyle didn’t have the same issue.

Working on three Elements was a ton of work, but it gave him a lot of varied experiences.

Two years later, another huge battle happened in the world.

The two Transcendents fought.

One of them had comprehended another Fragment and thought that they would win.

Then, the enemy unveiled that they had already known an additional Fragment but hadn’t wanted to make the war worse.

The two quickly stopped the battle when they realized that it had become dangerous for both parties.

Meanwhile, Kyle was almost at his goal.

He had created several different kinds of fusions, but they were not completely there yet.

He had made a fast and hard ball of fire.

He had made an extremely hot and fast blade of fire.

He had also made a heavy and hot ball of metal with incredible cutting power.

So close!

If just small parts of these creations could be changed, they would be perfect!

Kyle kept searching.

And two years later…

Kyle looked at the floating ball of metal with wonder and excitement.

The ball of metal was surrounded by violent fire, which singed the ground around him.

The next moment, Kyle pointed at the World Wall beside him.

BANG!

The ball immediately shot at the World Wall with terrifying speed.

It left behind a streak of violent fire, which turned into smoke after a while.

It shone with a bright light as it sped right at the wall.

BOOOM!

The ball hit the wall and exploded, but it didn’t cause any damage.

After all, this was just the base version of the fusion.

At most, it could kill someone in the Peak Second Realm.

The next moment, Kyle summoned another one.

‘It’s harder than the metal it’s made of.’

‘It’s faster than the speed boost the Wind Ether should give it.’

‘And it’s hotter than it should be.’

‘All three aspects have been improved tremendously!’

Kyle dispersed the little meteor and looked at the Ether.

Its color was a dark red.

Fire Ether was a brighter red with an orange tone. Confusing the color of this new kind of Ether with the color of Fire Ether was not possible.

This new kind of Ether looked quite threatening.

In a way, it looked a bit like what one would imagine a fusion between Fire Ether and Darkness Ether would look like.

‘Wonder what makes its color dark red?’ Kyle thought.

He summoned the meteor and dispersed it several times.

‘It’s actually crazy,’ he thought. ‘If I didn’t know what was in there, I would have quite some difficulties discerning what kind of Ether is in this thing.’

The different kinds of Ether were mixed so thoroughly that it was difficult to sense them.

When one mixed blue and yellow paint and didn’t know about how colors worked, one wouldn’t be able to see that the resulting green color was a mix of blue and yellow.

In the same way, it was difficult to discern what kind of Ethers Kyle used to create this new kind of Ether.

Kyle released a deep sigh.

‘The prototype is done.’

‘Now, I need to scale it up.’
