Chapter 410 Instincts
Kyle’s hammer was absorbed by the Metal Elemental, leaving him with only a stick.
Without hesitating, Kyle quickly charged towards a certain direction and took hold of a huge shining crystal near the edge of the ruins.
He recognized the crystal.
It was a Rank B Metal.
He didn’t even question why there was high-ranking metal in the territory of a Metal Elemental as he changed its shape.
A moment later, a new head appeared on Kyle’s hammer.
It was not as good as his old one, but it was good enough for now.
Then, he charged back at the two Metal Elementals.
Once more, Kyle attacked.
The first Metal Elemental had become injured earlier, but it had recovered by consuming Kyle’s hammer.
As Kyle attacked, the same thing happened again.
The first Metal Elemental took hold of the hammer, and Kyle absorbed it while releasing different kinds of metal.
Yet, before the second Metal Elemental could attack Kyle again, something happened.
The first Metal Elemental let go of Kyle’s hammer.
‘It noticed,’ Kyle thought as he retreated.
His entire body bulged as he barely managed to hold his insanely heavy hammer.
Over the past two exchanges, Kyle had absorbed the metal of the Metal Elemental while discharging the original metal of his hammer.
Since Kyle’s first hammer had been made of an extremely powerful Rank B Material, not much had changed.
But Kyle’s new hammer had been made of an average Rank B Material.
Metal Elementals were made of Rank A Materials.
In essence, Kyle had pulled a chunk of Rank A Materials out of the Metal Elemental and given it a chunk of Rank B Materials in return.
He was messing with the Metal Elemental’s quality.
The Metal Elemental had noticed that it was growing weaker by absorbing Kyle’s hammer and stopped.
At that point, it also noticed that the second Metal Elemental was getting the upper hand in their conflict.
It couldn’t afford to deal with Kyle anymore.
Meanwhile, Kyle charged forward once again, but this time, he charged at the second Metal Elemental.
As soon as he arrived, the second Metal Elemental summoned several long spears, which extended towards Kyle.
Kyle’s eyes widened in rage and focus as his entire body bulged.
CRKSH!
The spears punched through Kyle’s torso.
Two on his abdomen, one on his left upper arm, one at the side of his chest, and one close to his neck.
Metal Ether was washing through Kyle’s body.
Yet, Kyle just kept swinging his hammer. The hammer hit the Metal Elemental.
BOOOOOM!
A gigantic chunk shot away, burying into the walls of the cave.
Since the Metal Elemental hadn’t been completely solid, its hold over its body hadn’t been as iron.
Its core, with about 70% of its body, was thrown against the wall, while the lower 30% in liquid form remained.
The metallic spears left Kyle’s body, tearing open their wounds.
Luckily, Kyle’s Center was still in one piece.
He was bleeding profusely, but he would quickly recover.
But there was no time to rest.
The first Metal Elemental was consuming the liquid parts that the second Metal Elemental had left behind.
Kyle immediately pointed his hand at the liquid part.
BANG!
A powerful Spell called Wind Blade was launched out of Kyle’s hand.
He had prepared that Spell while charging forward for exactly this reason.
Half of the liquid remains were split from the other half, and Kyle quickly used his Soul to shove the liquid metal down his throat.
The first Metal Elemental and Kyle were busy consuming the liquid metal for a moment.
That was when the second Metal Elemental came charging back.
A streak of blood was left behind as Kyle retreated again.
Instead of attacking Kyle, the first Metal Elemental focused on the weakened second Metal Elemental.
As the two of them continued fighting, Kyle grabbed another crystal.
He liquefied that crystal and covered his wounded body with it, stopping the draining of Ether.
Then, he immediately charged at the Metal Elementals again.
When he saw the second one losing to the first one, Kyle charged at the first one.
But then, Kyle’s eyes suddenly widened in shock as he stopped.
BANG!
One of the walls of the cave broke, and a third Metal Elemental charged in!
The third one focused on the battle between the other two and immediately attacked the first one.
Kyle’s mind was going wild as his plan was thrown out of the window.
He had planned to slowly weaken both of them, but that no longer worked!
The third Metal Elemental tore chunks out of the second one, and within less than a second, the second Metal Elemental was torn into pieces.
The first and third Metal Elementals shared the second one, growing stronger.
The first Metal Elemental was even stronger than at the beginning of the fight!
Kyle was quickly trying to come up with a solution.
Was this still a true battle, or was this actually suicide? !
Kyle had fought the first Metal Elemental with a plan in mind. If the battle between them had continued, he would have had a chance at victory.
But then, the second one had appeared, and Kyle had to adapt.
Nevertheless, he had come up with a new plan.
And now, a third one was here!
Kyle’s mind was rapidly trying to come up with a solution, but all of the solutions seemed like suicide!
The option of retreat entered Kyle’s mind.
“Attack!”
At that point, Theodor’s urgent voice entered Kyle’s head.
This was all Kyle needed.
‘I have to attack! If I retreat now, my Momentum will be shaken! It will not increase but reduce!’
‘I can’t turn back!’
BANG!
Kyle exploded forward at the first and third Metal Elementals.
Tens of plans shot through Kyle’s mind.
He still didn’t know what to do.
Everything would lead to his death.
He still didn’t know what to do.
Yet, the mind didn’t need to know what it was doing to act.
Sometimes, instincts took over.
Kyle’s body moved on its own.
His hammer turned into fragments.
The fragments of Kyle’s hammer entered his mouth.
Then, the hilt of Kyle’s hammer entered the body of the first Metal Elemental.
