Strongest Hammer God
Chapter 1184: Collapsing Energy
The Abyss Hammer Team walked out of their designated Workshop. After all, if Kyle wanted to move around, he had to move as a unit due to the stupid rules of the Screening.
As soon as he walked out, several people looked at him with knowing looks of disregard. Each task had a 1,000-year time limit, and everyone could see it. Additionally, everyone could also see which task everyone was currently working on. The Communicator shared all of this information.
Kyle's timer said that he had already spent 999 years and that he was still on the first task. They could see that Kyle was growing desperate and that he only came out to find some way to complete the first task.
Kyle's Divine Consciousness stretched through the open corridors of the building and found a large hall. There were plenty of False Immortals in the halls, and based on how things looked, they were negotiating and talking.
Kyle walked over to the hall and looked at a random group of three False Immortals. When he approached them, the three of them glanced at Kyle. One of them looked at Kyle with annoyance, while the other two looked at him with amusement and disregard.
"Hey, can you tell me about the ratios for the first task?" Kyle casually asked.
"Are you stupid?" the annoyed guy asked back. "Figuring out the ratios is the entire point."
"I know," Kyle answered. "Is it forbidden to ask? You're already on the fourth task. You know the solution to the first task. You can just tell me."
"I can tell you," the amused guy said with a small smile.
"Great, what do you want in exchange?" Kyle asked."Ten sets of task-one materials," the guy answered, and the other two chuckled a bit.
"Deal," Kyle answered casually.
The group stopped chuckling and looked at Kyle for a short moment.
Then, they laughed even louder.
"Are you trying to scam us?" the amused guy asked after he abruptly stopped laughing.
Kyle took out the Space Ring of the first trial and threw it to the guy. "Check for yourself."
The three furrowed their brows, and the amused guy looked inside. When he saw the contents, he blinked a couple of times in surprise.
Sure enough, there were ten full sets.
He looked at the other two for a moment, and the disregarding guy just nodded to him.
This was a good deal. Many of the materials required to fulfill earlier tasks were also needed for harder tasks.
"Here are the ratios," the amused guy answered with a smirk as he handed Kyle a disposable emblem that contained information.
"Thanks," Kyle said before grabbing the emblem and going back to his Workshop.
After Kyle had left, the members of the group looked at each other. "You think he got more materials from somewhere?"
"I doubt it," someone else answered. "I've never seen him around."
"And if he still has materials?" the first guy asked.
"Nothing," the amused guy answered with a knowing smile. "He asked for the ratios. I gave him the ratios. I didn't tell him which ratio is relevant for which component."
"Oooh, sneaky," another guy said.
While the group continued talking, Kyle looked at the ratios.
Black summoned a bunch of materials and combined them according to the ratios.
Then, he created two Nodes and connected them according to the blueprint.
Finally, he simulated several waves of Energy and pushed them through the Connection.
'This makes almost no sense,' Kyle thought as he watched the transformations the Energy waves underwent. 'It's like the Energy is denaturing or distorting. Instead of becoming more refined, it's becoming fuzzy.'
Kyle created a bunch of Connections and Nodes before creating several parts of the Formation Array.
After several days of experimentation, Kyle had created thousands of individual components.
'The more I expand the Formation Array, the more distorted the Energy gets. Usually, Formation Arrays transform Neutral Energy into specific Energies that harness the power of Laws. Yet, this Formation Array doesn't do any of that. It just gets more chaotic and fuzzy. Even more, the Energy becomes harder to control and route.'
'I'm pretty sure I've got the ratios right. Sure, the guy tried to trick me by not telling me where I need to use the different ratios, but that's not hard to figure out if you know a bit about Laws. But if the ratios are correct, how can such a chaotic force create a specific effect?'
After more days of experimentation, Kyle had learned as much as he could about how the individual components acted. He couldn't learn more without completing the Formation Array.
For the first time, he built the full thing and activated it.
As expected, the Energies became more and more distorted as the Formation Array activated.
When the wave of Energy completed one full circle, it went to the beginning again, and that was when Kyle saw something unexpected.
The entire Formation Array suddenly became perfect!
'What the fuck?' Kyle thought as he watched the clear Energy coursing through the Formation Array. 'How?!'
Kyle had expected that the wave of Energy would transform again, and while it did just that, that wasn't what had surprised him. The surprising part was that the Energy in the entire Formation Array became perfect at the exact same time. The entire thing had suddenly fallen into perfect order!
Kyle looked at the Formation Array and analyzed how it worked, and what he saw surprised him yet again.
'The Energy makes perfect sense! I can see how each component contributes to the greater picture. Now that I'm looking at it, I almost feel stupid for not understanding it earlier. It's so clear!'
Kyle looked at the blueprint again.
'Bro, what? How is this blueprint still so confusing? I can make sense of the real thing right in front of me, but I can't make sense of the blueprint?'
He looked back at the working Formation Array.
'I can see why it transforms like this, but something doesn't feel right. It's like something's happening that's not supposed to happen.'
'Chaos that fulfills one specific purpose. This almost feels a bit like Death.'
That was when Kyle thought of something.
'What if this is like a bolt of lightning from Earth? A bunch of electrons move around in chaos, but as soon as they find a way to discharge, they all form an orderly path, leading to their target. What if the Formation Array works like that?'
'That's why the working Formation Array makes sense and why the blueprint doesn't! I forgot that I didn't infuse any Laws into the components, but there are Laws infused in the finished Formation Array! It's just that these Laws didn't come from me!'
'They came from reality!'
'The auto-complete function!' Kyle realized. 'You don't need to know everything about a Law to comprehend it. As long as you know like 98% to 99%, the world will give you the Law and complete it for you! What if the Formation Array makes use of that function?'
'The Energy inside the Formation Array was so chaotic and unstable that it could easily collapse. Yet, during this moment, it was moving around so chaotically that there's a high chance that it would fulfill the world's requirements to trigger the auto-complete function.'
'Reality believes that this Formation Array makes sense, and therefore, it makes sense!'
'This is a completely new way to create Formation Arrays!'
