Chapter 624 - 446: Equestrianism! The Multi-functional Uses of the Deep Blue Battery! Cook: Go to Hua Country
「July 7th, Minor Heat. Delta No. 108 Villa.」
Chen Yansen was lying with his head on Song Yuncheng’s lap, scrolling through Douyin and rewatching an episode of *Unexpected*.
Outside, the sun blazed down, and the summer heat was palpable. Even the camphor trees in the garden seemed to wilt slightly.
Song Yuncheng was holding an Orange Pad, thinking as she refined the marketing and promotion plan for the LeTV phone.
Although Accountant Jia’s LeTV phones wouldn’t finish their first production run for another half-month, he was already too eager to wait. He planned a simultaneous launch on July 10th across four major channels: Tmall, Pinbei, Jingdong, and the LeTV Mall.
As the project manager, Director Song had to oversee the entire process, from planning and implementation to performance review.
Even though it was the weekend, she was still busy.
One of them was playing, while the other was working.
After a while, Chen Yansen grew tired of scrolling and teased Song Yuncheng, "We’re not at the office. I’m not paying you overtime for this."
"I live on commission," Song Yuncheng said, unconcerned.
"Sunday is for relaxing. You don’t have to push yourself so hard." As he spoke, Chen Yansen snatched the tablet from her hands and casually tossed it aside.
He had asked Song Yuncheng to come over and keep him company, not to work overtime.
"Don’t mess around, I’m busy with something important." Song Yuncheng leaned forward to retrieve her iPad. As she did, his head was pressed firmly into her soft chest.
They were soft and bouncy, and carried a refreshing, light floral scent.
Chen Yansen nuzzled her with his nose, making Song Yuncheng’s cheeks flush pink.
Little Orange was already used to President Chen’s little quirks. Not only did she not pull away, but she also lowered her head slightly and gave him a peck on the lips.
"Taking advantage of your boss? That’s a serious offense! Nope, I have to get my revenge."
Chen Yansen said, putting on a stern face.
Hearing this, Little Orange giggled, kissed him again, and even gave him a playful, hard bite.
’Daring to provoke me?’
President Chen never let things slide; he always got his revenge on the spot.
"Can you let me finish my work?" Song Yuncheng panted coquettishly after a long while.
"Save it for tonight," Chen Yansen replied.
"Then what are we doing during the day?" Song Yuncheng asked curiously.
"I’m going to teach you how to ride a horse," Chen Yansen said.
"You know how to ride a horse?" Song Yuncheng asked in surprise.
"Nope," Chen Yansen answered matter-of-factly.
"Then how are you going to teach me?" Song Yuncheng couldn’t help but laugh, dumbfounded.
"Horseback riding is mainly about talent. I’ll learn first, and then I’ll teach you," Chen Yansen said with a perfectly straight face.
An hour later, the two arrived by car at a commercial equestrian center in Xiangcheng.
Chen Yansen had already purchased two Duke memberships. For an annual fee of 29,999 yuan, they offered unlimited riding for the whole year, a full set of riding gear, free lockers, shower services, tea, fruit platters, and more.
Their private instructor was a woman in her late twenties, a little over 170 cm tall, with a large frame.
Although she was only five centimeters taller than Song Yuncheng, her build was two or three sizes larger.
"Hello, Mr. Chen. I’m Yang Xinhu from Fan Chen Club. You can call me Xiaoyang," Yang Xinhu introduced herself confidently.
She was the best equestrian at Fan Chen Club and was in charge of one-on-one lessons for Duke members.
When the owner found out Chen Yansen had signed up, he immediately assigned him to Yang Xinhu.
’Yang Xinhu?’
Chen Yansen looked at her with a strange expression. ’That name is even more manly than mine.’
Song Yuncheng opened her mouth, subconsciously wanting to complain, ’Her parents sure were irresponsible.’
But on second thought, she realized that would be rude, so she swallowed her words.
"My father is from Xiangcheng, and my mother is Inner Mongolian. They wanted me to be a strong girl, so they gave me this name. I think it’s pretty great," Yang Xinhu explained with a shrug, not caring in the least.
She had been through similar scenes countless times and had grown numb to them.
Chen Yansen smiled and responded softly, "Hello, Coach Yang."
"Mr. Chen, Ms. Song, please follow me. The club provides Sanhe Horses for beginners. This breed has good endurance and adaptability, great speed and stamina, and a gentle temperament, which makes them very suitable for regular training."
Yang Xinhu explained as she led the two of them inside.
Not far away, a staff member led out three sturdy horses—one black and two brown. They stood about 1.5 meters tall, with well-proportioned bodies and vigorous spirits.
"Don’t be nervous if it’s your first time riding. First, say hello to the horse. Approach from its side, and don’t just suddenly appear from the front or back. A horse has a wide field of vision, but directly behind it is a blind spot, and you’ll startle it."
Yang Xinhu explained slowly.
She reached out to stroke the horse’s neck, then continued, "When you mount, put your left foot in the stirrup, grab the pommel of the saddle with your right hand, and hold the reins with your left. Then, push up forcefully, swing your right leg over the horse’s back, and once you’re seated securely, put your right foot into the other stirrup."
"Remember, only put the ball of your foot in the stirrup, and keep your heel down. That way, if you fall, your foot can slip out quickly, and you won’t get dragged and injured."
Under Yang Xinhu’s guidance, Chen Yansen quickly grasped the basic idea and then tried to mount the horse.
The brown Sanhe Horse sensed a hidden, intimidating power coming from Chen Yansen.
Although Chen Yansen had already retracted his Spiritual Power into the Visualization Black Hole, the aura of biological suppression he exuded still made the horse feel terrified and uneasy.
"Be good," Chen Yansen said with a faint smile, simultaneously using his Spiritual Power to soothe it once more.
As soon as he spoke, the horse’s emotions stabilized.
Chen Yansen took the reins and gently squeezed the horse’s belly with his calves. The horse immediately and obediently started off at a slow trot, its speed gradually increasing.
