Chapter 1453: Kill to the End

  • Next Chapter

Zhu Yugu saw Lü Qingfu rushing over and quickly exhaled a breath of cold air, intending to freeze Lü Qingfu.

This breath of cold air, Zhu Yugu truly unleashed with deadly intent.

He would rather freeze Lü Qingfu to death than ingest anything from Lü Qingfu’s mouth.

It wasn’t just a matter of disgust; ingesting that would place him under Lü Qingfu’s control.

Unfortunately, the breath of cold air missed Lü Qingfu, only freezing one of Lü Qingfu’s subordinates to death.

Lü Qingfu dodged, and before Zhu Yugu could see where Lü Qingfu was hiding, Lü Qingfu had already grabbed him from behind.

How could he be so fast?

Lü Qingfu was a Sixth Layer Lust Cultivation. Even with all his techniques applied to himself, he couldn’t be this fast.

Someone was controlling him.

Ice shards suddenly extended from Zhu Yugu’s back, aiming to pierce Lü Qingfu, but Lü Qingfu dodged again, still with astonishing speed.

At this moment, Zhu Yugu realized the situation: besides Lü Qingfu, another person had entered the room, most likely Li Qi, and he was manipulating Lü Qingfu with incredible speed.

Li Qi had arrived at Three-Head Fork, a fact Zhu Yugu was aware of, and he also knew that Li Qi was a Traveling Cultivator.

As for Li Qi’s level, the official statement was Fifth Layer, which Zhu Yugu knew was utter nonsense; Li Qi was probably at Earth Skin Seventh or Eighth Layer cultivation level, and perhaps even reached Above the Clouds.

For this reason, Zhu Yugu had specifically sought out the Illusion Cultivation Chief Leader Huan Wuchang to deal with Li Qi, yet unexpectedly Li Qi appeared unharmed at Qingyuan Building.

Was it that Huan Wuchang hadn’t acted, or did he lose to Li Qi?

The stance of this person was hard to gauge, but Zhu Yugu’s situation was extremely perilous.

Lü Qingfu would occasionally appear nearby, effortlessly dodging every counterattack from Zhu Yugu, as Li Qi protected Lü Qingfu with ease in front of Zhu Yugu, revealing the vast difference in their powers.

In one-on-one combat, Zhu Yugu feared he wouldn’t be a match for Li Qi; he wanted to call for reinforcements, but there was no response from outside the door.

The supports on this floor were probably all taken down by Li Qi, and the only hope seemed to be Master Du Zhihuan.

“Old Du, go take care of them for me…” Zhu Yugu turned his head to see one of Lü Qingfu’s subordinates feeding Du Zhihuan a mouthful of Golden Juice Jade Liquid, mouth to mouth, as Du Zhihuan watched the struggling Zhu Yugu contentedly.

Old Du was also unreliable. Zhu Yugu glanced around and resorted to his ultimate move, Cold Cultivation Skill, Gaze Frost.

Throughout the house, wherever eyes could reach, from walls to ceiling, from furniture to decorations, a layer of frost formed on all objects.

Everyone also became covered in frost. On the spot, Du Zhihuan and Lü Qingfu’s subordinates were frozen to death, but Zhu Yugu couldn’t find Lü Qingfu himself after searching for a while.

If Lü Qingfu wasn’t dead, it meant the one controlling Lü Qingfu, Li Qi, was certainly not dead.

Li Qi managing to keep Lü Qingfu alive proved he might not even have been injured.

Exerting Gaze Frost demanded huge stamina, swiftly depleting Zhu Yugu’s strength, as the frost in the room gradually faded.

The technique stopped, which also meant Li Qi could appear at any time, and Zhu Yugu also realized he might be moments away from death.

“Li Qi,” Zhu Yugu called out, “I’m telling you, once you step into Qingyuan Building, you bear Qingyuan’s mark. Harm me and you’ll face painful repercussions yourself!”

Li Banfeng appeared, walking into Zhu Yugu’s room from the doorway: “Explain to me, why does entering this building leave a mark inside the body?”

“It’s the Craftsmanship Method, left by our Boss for Qingyuan Building.” Zhu Yugu felt utterly nervous, seeing Li Qi’s face clearly, but beneath the rim of Li Qi’s hat hid a murderous aura that filled him with extreme fear.

Concealing his fear deeply, Zhu Yugu maintained his usual domineering tone and demeanor: “Li Qi, you have no idea who our Boss is. You’ve provoked someone beyond your grasp. Now, if I just move a finger…”

Bam!

Li Banfeng kicked him in the face, and Zhu Yugu fell backwards, blood spurting from his nose and mouth.

Zhu Yugu didn’t hurry to get up; instead, he lay on the ground and tightly clenched his fist, causing Li Banfeng to feel a hidden pain in his chest.

He’s got some real skill.

“Does it hurt?” Zhu Yugu slowly stood up, smiling at Li Banfeng, “Right now, it only hurts a little. Just wait a bit until the mark takes hold in your body; then when I clench my fist, I could kill you.”

Li Banfeng asked with a smile, “Do I need to wait any longer to kill you?”

Zhu Yugu, understanding the situation, responded: “No, you’re indeed quite capable. Killing me would be just a blink of an eye, but it won’t help you. The mark remains on you. When you meet our Boss or another leader, they won’t even blink to kill you, since things have reached this point, why lock horns further? You’ve made a wrong move; just accept your bad luck. As long as you don’t provoke us in the future, we certainly won’t trouble you.”

Li Qi remained silent.

Zhu Yugu observed Li Qi’s position, pondering his next move.

If Li Qi simply left, it would be Zhu Yugu’s good fortune.

If Li Qi furious decides to kill Zhu Yugu, it would be his misfortune.

If Li Qi wanted to negotiate, Zhu Yugu was willing to agree to any terms, just to last an hour; then the mark would take root in Li Qi’s body, allowing Zhu Yugu to clench his fist, possibly causing Li Qi excruciating pain and death.

Even if lasting only half an hour, should the mark half-root, it would still cause tremendous pain for Li Qi, likely driving him away.
