Chapter 2863 - 2863: Greeting
The moment we stepped out of the clubroom, Arisa immediately latched onto Izumi’s arm. I escorted them back to the Student Support Club before heading to my next destination.
As for whether those three understood what happened, they surely did. I mean, they both looked like blooming flowers when we entered, after all.
Of course, they’d never dare to bring it up unless they want a beating not just from me, but from the girls too. It’s a private matter.
After making sure Arisa and Izumi were settled back in the Student Support Club, I left the clubroom and continued upstairs, passing by the already crowded ‘conference room’ that Shizu and Haruko had prepared for the club and class presidents. I climbed up to the 4th floor and went to our designated venue for our club’s booth.
Except for those in the line downstairs, most of the girls were already inside, including Sumire and the others. Since they already finished their final exams last week, this was their final week before summer vacation. In fact, they’re free to stop attending school, as there’s nothing to do anymore except for their teachers handing out their summer assignments.
The moment I stepped in, Sumire, who opened the door for me, immediately hit me on my chest while grumbling, “You’re finally here, senpai.”
Look at this adorable girl, is she still holding a grudge for not responding to her swimsuit snaps yesterday? Before Sumire could land another half-hearted punch, I caught her wrist and tugged her forward, pressing a quick kiss to her pouting lips.
She stiffened for a second before staring at me in disbelief. “Th-that’s cheating!”
“Mhm? How is it cheating? I’m just greeting you.”
“G-greeting… That’s not how you greet someone!” Sumire argued but her cheeks started turning crimson.
Behind her, Umi peeked out and waved at me with a smile.
“It is. That’s how I greet my girls, you know? Watch.”
Upon saying that, I stepped past her and approached Umi. The shy girl’s eyes widened as I leaned down, cradling her face gently before kissing her gently until she melted against me with a soft sigh.
When I pulled back, her lips were slightly parted, her expression dazed. “See? That’s how I greet you both.”
Sumire pointed with her face now fully red. “Y-you! Umi, don’t just accept it like that!”
Umi blinked, then giggled behind her hand. “But… it’s nice. I like senpai’s kisses.”
With how adorable she was, I couldn’t help but pull the girl in my embrace, drawing everyone’s attention to us.
Well, even without doing this, my arrival had already alerted everyone. My eyes immediately scanned the clubroom and spotted Nina not far away, clearly hesitating whether to also step up and flaunt her status as my minion again.
Reira-senpai narrowed her eyes at me, looking like she was watching something absurd. And when she caught me staring at her, she lightly shook her head before turning back to arranging the snacks on the table.
On the other side, Yuika-senpai waved at me with a bright smile while Himeko and Edel were holding themselves back from running at me. Then, there’s Mina, who was holding a tray with a tea set. The moment our eyes met, the girl raised a fist as though telling me I’d better be prepared for finishing multiple cups of tea again.
Of course, some of the girls weren’t around as they were in the line downstairs. Rumi, Minori-senpai, Chii, Nami and Nikka-senpai. They represent all the clubs involved in this collaboration.
They’ll be back after receiving the disbursement from the student council.
Well, I also have to come down there so… my visit here will be brief. Just enough to greet and check on all of them.
Kana, Rae and Aya pulled me to show the revisions they did. Then Otsuka-senpai told me she’s going to shop for materials and props later, if I have a request, I should tell her now.
When I approached Himeko and the other girls from the Poem Appreciation Club, Edel and Himeko immediately clung to me. The former asked for the same greeting while the latter simply buried her face on my chest before Edel could do so.
After indulging Edel with a lingering kiss that left her swaying slightly on her feet and doing the same for Himeko, I moved towards Yuika-senpai who lowered her head slightly, apologizing to me for cancelling the special swimming class that I was supposed to accompany her last Saturday.
“Don’t be, senpai. I told you we can always move it, right? Besides, it’s not like you deliberately canceled on me,” I sat down next to her and reached for her hand, squeezing it.
The girl nodded weakly before looking up, “Thank you, Ruki…”
I cupped her cheek and leaned in for a quick kiss. Yuika sighed against my lips before pulling away first, “Uhm… can we do it tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow? Let’s see. It’s possible. Let’s skip one class. But to make sure we won’t be reprimanded by the teachers, we’ll have to tell Orimura-sensei first.”
“Yes!”
“Great. I’ll pick you up by then.”
“Uhm. Minori will come too, Ruki.”
“No problem. That’s the original arrangement, right?”
Yuika-senpai nodded and smiled before pulling her hand back and urging me to do what I had to do.
I nodded and kissed her one more time before doing the same for Himeko and then Mina who handed me my first cup of tea.
After that, I moved towards where Reira-senpai was seated. Although she didn’t appear out of place, I could tell she was still feeling a little awkward interacting with the girls. Still, there’s already Hina and Saki keeping her company.
The moment I approached, Reira-senpai immediately turned her gaze away with a soft huff.
“Senpai.”
“…What?”
“Nothing, just checking on you. Everything fine here?” I said before turning my gaze to Saki and Hina who both nodded eagerly.
Reira-senpai sighed dramatically, flipping her hair over one shoulder. “As if anything could be wrong when they’re all accommodating. Besides, do you really have time to check on me?”
“Time? Of course I have. No matter how squeezed my schedule gets, senpai will always be a priority.” I slid onto the seat beside her, making the natural seductress flinch slightly. But then, as if regaining her composure, she immediately rolled her eyes.
“That’s ridiculous.”
“Ridiculously true,” I countered, “Anyway, I won’t disturb you for long. Although I want to catch up with you properly, that’ll have to wait until tomorrow.”
“Psh. What’s there to catch up on? Not like we’ve missed a huge event. Since our club is now also anchored in this booth of yours, I naturally will contribute appropriately.” Reira-senpai crossed her arms, her tone casual but her fingers tapping slightly faster against her elbow—that tiny tell betraying her interest. Hina muffled a giggle beside her, earning a light flick to the forehead from the older girl.
I smirked and leaned closer, lowering my voice. “Ah, but I distinctly remember promising senpai something last week.
“You didn’t promise anything, shameless Ruki-kun.”
“Oh. Right. I didn’t. But well, do you want to accompany me again, senpai? I’m gonna go on patrol again.”
“Quit it. Your girls will be jealous of me if you keep this up.” Reira-senpai nudged her glasses up with one finger. After that, she reached for my cheek and pinched it.
As I expected, she’s still on the fence on whether to fully acknowledge her feelings for me. Little did she know, the other girls had already considered her one of them. That’s why Hina and Saki were comfortably interacting with her.
“You should go. I appreciate you not ignoring me, but you’re already late for your next stop, aren’t you?”
“I’m always late, I think?” I acted dumb, letting Reira-senpai pinch my cheek a little longer.
When she finally let my cheek go, she let out a sigh and giggled with amusement. “You know that won’t work with me, right? Come on, you may be my favorite junior, but I have you read completely.”
“Fair enough. But can I greet you too, senpai?”
“What? That shameless greeting? Are you trying to take advantage of me, Ruki-kun?”
“Of course not. I’m just asking,” I put on a shameless smile before leaning in and placing a kiss on her cheek before she could react.
As soon as I did that, the girl blushed furiously, not expecting me to go through with it. She immediately turned away, pushing my face aside with her palm while muttering, “Haa… You’re hopeless.”
“I know I am, senpai. Well then, I hope you have a great time here.”
“Ugh… One day I’ll get you back for that,” Reira-senpai muttered, fanning her flushed face as I stood.
Hina and Saki exchanged amused glances, clearly intrigued at watching the normally unflappable natural seductress unravel.
After that, I went over to the two girls’ side, giving them the same treatment. Naturally, no matter how I tried to be subtle, with most of the girls here being my lovers, it was impossible to hide anything.
Before leaving, I went around one more time while making sure not to disturb the girls who were busily preparing. Nina finally gathered enough courage to approach, twisting her fingers nervously before blurting out, “N-night prince! Did you see the new poster designs I made?”
