I then moved my hand from her nape to the back of her head, stroking her affectionately. “Trust me. This is no dream. Tomorrow, this shameless face will be the one waking you up.”

I intentionally put on a shameless smile, making her laugh.

But still, there’s worry remaining present in her eyes.

Time continued to pass and soon enough, Fuyu’s silent snoozing ensued.

I took another glance at her face and saw her peaceful and satisfied expression.

Down on my chest, Akane raised her head, checking her best friend’s state.
