Steady Cultivation: Starting With the Perk “Work Hard, Rest Hard”

Chapter 713: Three Mountains Society

Li Fei nodded gravely.

Although the Prison Master had been careless, anyone capable of pulling tricks right under his nose was absolutely no ordinary being.

Li Fei didn't dare take it lightly and dispatched people to search for Changsun Xuzhu with even greater thoroughness.

For now, the only clue was Changsun Xuzhu. They had to find him first before they could uncover what kind of trickery was really going on.

After Li Fei left, the Prison Master’s expression returned to calm.

His form flickered and vanished instantly.

When he reappeared, he was already outside a cluster of halls.

The moment he stood at the entrance of the hall complex, he immediately felt a terrifying pressure bearing down on him. His spine involuntarily bent, but after a moment of adjustment, he straightened up again.

Looking up, he could see that this so-called hall complex was actually a crumbling ruin. Some halls had already collapsed by a third, leaving only two-thirds intact, while others were completely destroyed.

He glanced around, then slowly stepped inside.

Once inside the hall complex, his eyes were met with countless Dao marks floating in midair, colored black, white, blue, or purple, strewn like spatial cracks throughout the entire complex.

Each Dao mark possessed terrifying power, deadly upon contact and wounding upon collision!

A narrow path could be seen, already cleared, stretching all the way to one of the still-intact smaller halls.

The Prison Master knew that this was the site where, during their initial exploration, they had discovered the treasure containing pills that broke the hundredth order.

Back then, there had only been three pills inside. Out of a team of over a thousand, only three managed to seize the opportunity, while everyone else perished!

The three who obtained the treasures reached an agreement. They each established their own factions, maintaining an outward appearance of hostility, but among themselves, they formed a new alliance, the Three Mountains Society!

Apart from that path, over the years, three more passages had been carved out, leading to three additional halls, yielding quite a few treasures.

Now, the three of them were about to excavate the largest hall of all.

"Wu Tianxiang, where have you been? Get over here and help with the work!" a white-haired, youthful-faced Taoist shouted.

"I know! Qixin, what's the rush!" Wu Tianxiang replied casually.

Qixin looked like an old man, but he was actually the master of the Chaos Immortal Alliance, commanding no small number of subordinates.

He then made his way to the front of this artificially carved passage.

A young-looking man nodded at the Prison Master in greeting and said, "You're here? Any trouble?"

"Zang Tianguan, nothing major. Someone might have acquired a rare treasure. It's not a big deal," Wu Tianxiang said offhandedly.

The young man, Zang Tianguan, didn't seem too concerned either. "Let's continue!"

Then the three of them struck together, unleashing a coordinated assault on a single cyan Dao mark floating ahead of the passage.

The cyan Dao mark was razor-sharp. No matter how heaven-shaking or earth-shattering their attacks were, they could only wear it down slowly, like water grinding stone.

What's more, the three of them were exasperated to find that this remnant mark was still self-repairing. For every bit they consumed, it recovered a bit, turning the process into a tug-of-war with excruciatingly slow progress.

"It'll take at least three thousand years to wear down this single Cyan Wood Dao mark!" Qixin sighed.

"Almost there," Zang Tianguan said calmly. "If worst comes to worst, we can find a few 95th-order cultivators to fill in and erase this mark."

"There might not be enough 95th-order ones," Wu Tianxiang said flatly.

"Then gather more to make up the numbers. 70th or 80th-order works too, as long as there's enough quantity! Those guys are like grass, cut one crop, and another grows back!" Zang Tianguan replied.

"Alright, it's been a while since we stirred up a Nothingness Chaos anyway!" Qixin said calmly.

As they conversed, they didn't stop wearing down the Dao mark.

They could see that only seven Dao marks separated them from the largest hall.

"Too bad we can't speed up time here."

Qixin checked the progress and said, "How about we add some manpower, sacrifice a few, and speed things up? Let's see what treasure is hidden in this hall!"

Hearing this, Wu Tianxiang's gaze grew fervent as he stared at the hall's plaque, which bore three characters: [Void Emperor Hall].

Meanwhile, on the other side.

After eliminating all of Changsun Xuzhu's resurrection methods one by one, Su Yuan chose to kill him.

Changsun Xuzhu, who was recovering from his injuries in the [Nine Stars Land], immediately sensed a life-or-death crisis approaching.

He shouted at once, "Lord Seven Stars, let's talk this out! I'll give you anything! Don't make a move!"

Su Yuan said calmly, "You know too much!"

Changsun Xuzhu quickly replied, "I can erase those memories! I swear I'll keep the secret!"

Hearing this, Su Yuan sneered coldly, "I only trust my own power!"

With a thought, Su Yuan slashed out a blade!

In his severely weakened state, how could Changsun Xuzhu withstand Su Yuan's attack?

Under that single slash, his body completely disintegrated, turning into countless specks of light that flew into Su Yuan's body.

Once inside, the light specks surged toward the True Name Star representing Changsun Xuzhu.

When all the light specks merged into it, the True Name Star collapsed, transforming into a pitch-black False Name Star.

This False Name Star immediately contracted, becoming an ultra-high-gravity dark star, like a black hole, madly absorbing the surrounding True Name light and spewing out a torrent of False Name power.

In that moment, Su Yuan's Fame Great Dao realm effortlessly broke through to the 80th order, then reached the 81st order.

Finally, it stabilized at the 82nd order.

Su Yuan hadn't expected that after just breaking through to the 79th order through secluded cultivation, killing a 92nd-order Nothingness Dominator would push his cultivation up by three more levels, landing him at the 82nd order.

At the same time, all of Changsun Xuzhu's lifetime cultivation experience, Dao insights, various skills, abilities, and even Primal Source Power were inherited by Su Yuan one by one.

A flood of insights and memories poured into his mind. After quickly organizing them, Su Yuan found that the most valuable gains were the 92nd-order Dao of Nothingness Fire insights and the 92nd-order Alchemy Dao insights.

The other abilities were rather unremarkable.

Su Yuan briefly contemplated the Dao of Nothingness Fire and found that this Dao's power was actually quite impressive. Unfortunately, Changsun Xuzhu wasn't skilled in combat and had never fully unleashed the potential of this Dao insight, instead devoting himself obsessively to alchemy.

"I haven't practiced alchemy techniques at the Chaos Dominator level before. But now that I've directly become a high-end existence at the 92nd order, I can finally present myself as an alchemist."

"Wait, Changsun Xuzhu is still being hunted right now. Revealing my identity as an alchemist would be very dangerous!"

Su Yuan muttered to himself, "But I can refine some pills for my disciples. That Void Mixed Spirit Pill would be a good choice!"

He still remembered that Changsun Jiliang had been intended as the main ingredient for refining that very pill.
