Chapter 670: Master Qi’s Shock
Su Yuan’s Abyss, Su Yuan, saw Su Qian and went over to ask about the place and get familiar with the surroundings.
Su Qian was chatting with Su Yuan’s Abyss when he suddenly noticed a small, delicate figure appear on the great lake, playing with Little Cai and the others.
His ears perked up, and he heard the introduction, “My name is Su Kun, I am the master’s artifact-forging assistant!”
“What is that familiar fluctuation of aura, how come it feels so familiar? Could this be… the new spirit of the Myriad Treasures Heaven-Earth Cauldron?”
Su Qian immediately guessed Su Kun’s identity, because the name was too easy to infer.
What he sensed was that Su Kun’s realm was on par with the Flame King; he was stunned.
He was only a Sixth-Rank Chaos Dominator himself—if he had known, he would have stayed on as the Myriad Treasures Heaven-Earth Cauldron’s spirit.
“What are you thinking about, Old Qian?” Su Yuan’s Abyss interrupted Su Qian’s thoughts, “Those are all the master’s maids!”
Su Qian rolled his eyes. “You’re overthinking. I’m just feeling a bit emotional.”
Su Yuan’s Abyss also sighed, “Indeed, following the master really brings meteoric rise: from the Wuji Realm to Dao Yan Realm and then to Dao Venerable Realm, and now he’s about to reach Chaos Dominator. With the master, one need not worry about advancement.”
“Mm.” Su Qian snapped back to himself and sighed, “I still can’t quite believe it. A being like me, born a common mortal, can make it all the way to Chaos Dominator.”
He had also been granted a contract by Su Yuan, a Nothingness Spiritual Plant, and now his cultivation speed was extremely rapid—treatment others envied.
As more people arrived, the new residence grew lively.
The once empty mansion finally gained some life.
Su Yuan was very satisfied and began to stroll through the manor.
He came to the southwest corner, where there was a fire-vein node, its rank astonishingly reaching Seventy-Two Rank!
A cluster of buildings had already been built around the fire-vein node, including artifact-forging rooms, pill-refining rooms, and so on, and the arrays set up were all conducive to treasure refinement.
These conditions were much better than what Su Yuan had before—enough for him to craft Seventy-Two Rank treasures!
Su Yuan’s hands itched; later he could try forging a few pieces to test the waters.
Su Yuan wandered to the northwest corner and saw a garden that, to his surprise, also had Nothingness Spiritual Plants and Chaos Spirit Plants planted—many of them high-ranked.
Walking among them, Su Yuan could feel the rich Dao essence of the Chaos Great Dao. Training certain Daos here would raise cultivation speed extremely fast.
Especially since he also had the Daoist Techniques Naturally entry, this garden was an excellent cultivation spot for him. Only the plants’ ranks were a bit low—he had already reached Rank Sixty-Nine, so the plants here functioned mainly to provide atmosphere.
After touring around, Su Yuan returned to the main residence. Indeed, there was an excellent cultivation chamber inside, filled with a strong breath of Dao comprehension. Su Yuan only needed one inhale to feel refreshed and clearheaded.
However, the comprehension effect within it was not that significant for him, since he possessed the Balancing Work and Rest entry, and that gave stronger comprehension effects than this chamber’s breath alone.
Once he was familiar with things, he summoned the Flame King in.
“Go invite Master Qi in!”
“Yes, master!”
The Flame King immediately left and went outside the gate, where a tower-ship was still waiting.
Su Yuan had previously agreed to meet Qi Wuhui, but because he had to sort out the residence beforehand, Qi Wuhui waited by the gate.
Qi Wuhui had waited for a while when a blazing giant emerged; his aura as a Sixty-Rank Chaos Dominator was strikingly obvious.
“I am the Seven Stars Residence guard, Flame—are you Master Qi? The master invites you inside!”
the Flame King said.
“Has Seven Stars Sect been settled?” Qi Wuhui smiled as he stepped down from the tower-ship.
Old Donkey came out to guide the tower-ship to the docking area and to take care of the attendants from Master Qi’s vessel.
Qi Wuhui followed the Flame King and arrived at the main residence.
“The Dao comprehension here is so strong!”
Qi Wuhui inhaled the breath of comprehension in the space immediately; its concentration was hundreds of times what his home had. Even if his cultivation speed here wasn’t a hundred times faster, ten times was certainly possible.
This was the most important attribute of a mansion.
The Flame King led Qi Wuhui into the main residence.
Su Yuan was already waiting there.
“Master Qi, please sit!”
Su Yuan was very polite.
“Haha, Seven Stars Master, you flatter me. You’re meeting me first before anyone else! I’m truly honored!” Master Qi laughed.
Su Yuan chuckled, “Master Qi is a senior among artificers; of course I must show respect! I have many forging puzzles I hope we can discuss together.”
“Then let us discuss them properly.”
The two quickly delved into discussion of the Dao.
At first, Master Qi had the confidence of an elder, taking the initiative in the discourse and resolving many of Su Yuan’s doubts. As the conversation deepened, he discovered Su Yuan’s high level of forging insight and gradually began to regard Su Yuan as a peer.
Su Yuan was also rapidly absorbing Master Qi’s forging insights. He found in Master Qi many realizations he had never grasped before, especially precious and rare experience about refining and optimizing lower-grade Dominator artifacts.
But as the topics deepened, and as Dominator artifact grades reached Su Yuan’s comfort zone, Su Yuan gradually took the lead.
By the later stages, Su Yuan was the one speaking most of the time; Master Qi listened, occasionally interjecting a sentence or two with solid insight, which earned Su Yuan’s praise.
At the sound of praise, Master Qi unconsciously showed excitement and exhilaration; it made him feel like in the past, listening to his teacher’s lectures.
“Wait!”
Master Qi finally snapped back to himself.
Why had he come here again?
He seemed to recall—his main purpose was to invite Su Yuan to join the Supreme Artificer Academy.
The initial forging discussion had been intended to test Su Yuan’s forging ability, to see what strength he truly had.
But now he suddenly realized it was no longer he examining Su Yuan, but Su Yuan guiding him.
Keep in mind, he was a Sixty-Six Rank senior forging master; among the whole Second Frontline he was one of the top five forging experts.
Now he was sitting there like a student listening to Su Yuan lecture.
For an instant he felt dazed, then he stared at Su Yuan in a trance.
“What’s wrong?” Su Yuan paused, puzzled.
“Cough, cough. The reason I came this time is to invite the Seven Stars Master to join the Supreme Artificer Academy!”
He paused, then said, “I feel that the position of master teacher doesn’t match your level.”
“Oh?”
“I think you are suited to be the head of the Supreme Artificer Academy!”
