Starting Out As The God of Beasts

Chapter 235: Servant of Dawn

A Few Hours Ago — Sun Heaven Realm.

High above the mortal plane, far beyond the reach of terrestrial eyes, lay the realm of Sun Heaven.

Floating serenely over an endless ocean of deep crimson clouds was a breathtaking, triangular palace carved from translucent quartz.

The structure caught the celestial rays of the realm, refracting a brilliant golden-violet hue that illuminated the surrounding void—a constant, sacred light that mirrored the endless season of early dawn.

This grand citadel was the Palace of Amoris, the holy abode of the God of Dawn, a King-tier True God of the Sun Pantheon.

Inside the sprawling throne room, the architecture spoke of ancient, divine grandeur.

The soaring walls were painted in rich, liquid gold that seemed to pulse like a slow, beating heart.

Embedded across the gilded surfaces were thousands of radiant, flawless emeralds, casting deep green reflections across the polished, mirror-like marble floor.

At the far end of the vast hall rested a towering throne forged from woven, crystallized sunlight.

Seated upon it was Amoris.

He sat relaxed with his legs crossed, resting one pale, unblemished hand casually on the armrest.

To everyone’s eye, Amoris bore the refined, dignified countenance of an elder in his early sixties.

He possessed long, flowing silver hair that swept neatly over his shoulders and a majestic silver beard that cascaded down his chest.

Yet, his physical age was merely a chosen projection.

His true existence was defined by the terrifying, suffocating presence of a King-tier True God.

Divinity did not merely wrap around Amoris like an aura—it was his very essence.

The space surrounding his throne was perpetually warped, bending under the sheer density of his cosmic existence.

Every breath he drew caused the ambient mana of the Sun Heaven to hum in absolute submission, and every heartbeat sent ripples through the fundamental laws of light and time within his domain.

To stand before him was to stand before a living deity.

A lesser mortal soul would be reduced to ash simply by attempting to comprehend his form.

His eyes were the most absolute representation of this terrifying nature.

Beneath his silver brows, his irises burned with a deep, mesmerizing violet light.

It was an ancient, predatory violet—the exact color of the first ray of light that cuts through primordial darkness—portraying a divine authority that predated empires, mortal pantheons, and recorded history.

He was draped in a luxurious, heavy golden coat that hummed with pure, unyielding solar energy, making him look less like a ruler and more like the ultimate arbiter of existence.

HEAVY THUD.

The massive, golden double doors at the entrance of the throne room suddenly sprang open, their heavy sound echoing off the emerald-studded walls.

A tall, imposing figure stepped smoothly into the grand chamber.

He possessed striking, stark-white hair that fell sharply around a stern, weathered face.

He had only one eye—a sharp, golden orb that gleamed like a burning amber—while an obsidian eye patch covered the left side of his face.

His massive frame was clad in immaculate, heavy silver plate armor that reflected the brilliant green and gold light of the hall, and protruding majestically from his back was a magnificent pair of sweeping, metallic silver wings that rustled softly with every step.

This was an Angel—a high-level divine spirit construct forged directly from the origin essence of the Dawn God.

His name was Mauresis, the Angel of Dawn.

Mauresis marched forward with long, disciplined strides, his heavy boots clicking rhythmically against the polished marble.

Yet, as he reached a distance of a few hundred meters from the elevated throne, his movement came to an absolute halt.

Without a moment of hesitation, Mauresis dropped heavily onto his knees.

He folded his silver wings tightly against his back and bowed his head until his brow nearly brushed the cold floor, offering his complete, unyielding reverence to his creator.

“My Lord and Creator, Lord Amoris,” Mauresis greeted, his voice deep, clear, and ringing out like struck steel across the silent throne room.

“Your loyal blade stands before you. As I was summoned into your divine presence, I humbly await your command. May I know why my Lord has called me here today?”

Amoris nodded slowly, his deep violet eyes watching the kneeling angel with calm, unreadable satisfaction.

He raised his pale hand, gently stroking his long silver beard as his ancient voice echoed through the hall like soft thunder.

“Rise, Mauresis,” Amoris spoke, his tone carrying a warm, melodic cadence that belied his crushing presence. “I have summoned you from your rest because Makane, the Sky God—whom I regard as my junior within the council of the Sun—came to my gates seeking my aid.”

Amoris paused, his violet eyes narrowing slightly as he reflected upon the matter.

“Makane harbors deep, growing suspicions regarding a mysterious entity in the lower plane who currently claims the title of the God of Beast.

A violent, inevitable religious war is brewing between the Church of the Sky and this newly emerged faith. Makane seeks a force capable of ensuring his victory while probing the true depths of this unknown deity.”

The King-tier God shifted slightly on his throne of woven light, his golden coat shifting over his shoulders.

“I have agreed to grant him my assistance. You, Mauresis, shall descend to support the Sky God. You will act as a servant under Makane’s direction, following his script and fulfilling his tactical demands.

You shall remain bound to his service until your task is fully completed, after which you may return to my side.”

Mauresis kept his head bowed low. He did not ask for clarification, nor did a single thread of hesitation cross his mind.

To an angel born of the Dawn, the decree of Amoris was absolute, unalterable law.

“I hear and obey, Lord Amoris,” Mauresis declared firmly, his single golden eye blazing with quiet resolve. “I shall serve the Sky God as your representative and crush his foes. When shall I depart?”

Amoris lowered his hand, his violet gaze settling upon his angel with absolute finality.

“At once.”

A Few Minutes Later — The Shrine of the Sky God.

Within the blinding, white-and-gold realm belonging to the Sky God, the clouds parted as a sudden, brilliant beam of silver light pierced the atmosphere.

Mauresis materialized smoothly in the center of the open-air pavilion.

His heavy silver boots touched down firmly upon the pristine marble tiles, sending a sharp, crisp echo through the peaceful courtyard.

He straightened his towering frame, his silver wings expanding slightly to balance his weight before folding neatly behind his back.

Standing near the edge of the pavilion, overlooking the sea of white clouds below, was Makane, the God of the Sky.

Mauresis stepped forward, but he did not fall to his knees as he had done before Amoris.

Instead, he simply bowed his head in a rigid, professional gesture of respect, maintaining the proud, unyielding dignity befitting an Angel belonging to a King-tier True God.

“Lord Makane,” Mauresis spoke, his tone crisp, cold, and entirely businesslike. “I have arrived as instructed. My creator, the God of Dawn, has ordered me to temporarily act as your servant and blade in the coming conflict.”

Mauresis raised his head, his single golden eye locking onto the Sky God. “I stand ready to execute your will. What are your orders, Sky God?”

Makane turned around slowly, his radiant golden eyes sweeping over the magnificent, silver-armored angel standing before him.

Seeing the sheer density of divine essence radiating from Mauresis, Makane’s lips curled into an evil, triumphant grin.

With a high-level Angel of Dawn under his direct command, he possessed an unstoppable weapon—one that would force the God of Beast out of the shadows, or burn his fledgling church to ash.

“Wonderful… absolutely magnificent,” Makane chuckled softly, his voice laced with dark, sinister anticipation.

He stepped toward the edge of the pavilion, gesturing toward the cloud layer that concealed the mortal world.

“Prepare yourself, Mauresis,” Makane commanded, his grin widening into a predatory sneer.

“You will be heading down to the mortal plains at once.”
