The Storm Heroic Spirits were quite organized. One of them, dressed in Alliance military uniform, stepped forward to communicate.

He introduced himself as a colonel of the Alliance Army and the Imperial Star Realm Army, claiming to have a very important mission in execution, requesting to meet the head responsible for deciphering the Veil Spirit Gate technology here.

A Heroic Spirit claiming to be an officer… Yet, his flawless military uniform, clear rank, and serious demeanor, which visibly resembled a soldier, made people instinctively accept it.

Initially, soldiers had orders to welcome them, and prepared humans formed a team to escort them up.

Kao’er, waiting there, saw them.

Although these people might bring hopes of deciphering the Veil Spirit Gate, he couldn’t put all his hopes on it. He continued to lead his deciphering team in their work, not stopping when meeting with the Heroic Spirits.

Yu Che, the name of this person, was a Sage once belonging to the Alfonso Sect and now the Alamita Sect. During the Iron Armor War, he defected to the Alliance’s side, becoming one of the core figures in the Alamita Sect, built upon the remains of the Alfonso Sect.

As a Mechanicus Sage, he lived a long life of over fourteen hundred years, which was quite lengthy but not unusually so — at least not as incredible as his teacher during his study on Mars, who lived for ten thousand years.

However, his life also reached an end. He died in battle while following the Dark Side Expedition Fleet against a planet occupied by the corrosive force of the Dark Mechanic Cult.

His special status made Gu Hang regard him differently, spending effort to retrieve his soul back, not letting him return to the Golden Throne to rest forever but turning him into a Heroic Spirit in the realm of the Storm God Kingdom, managing significant Alliance secrets within it — the Black Box Factory.

Though becoming a Heroic Spirit means no further progression is possible, and all thoughts solidify at the state before death, losing the concept of life. Essentially, it’s a projection constructed by extracting soul imprints and utilizing the power of the Storm God Kingdom.

Nevertheless, the influence of past memories and thoughts made him instinctively excited when seeing so many Black Boxes, and he was very satisfied with the new work arranged by Mr. Gu, considering his life after death quite happy.

And when new missions arrived, he wouldn’t refuse — although Heroic Spirits didn’t have much choice in that matter.

During several deployments of Heroic Spirits to Comoros by Gu Hang, he was among them. Gu Hang hoped that through this former Mechanicus Sage, they could potentially grasp and decipher some technologies of the Dark Spirit Race in advance to prepare for the future.
