Chapter 1061: Chapter 167: Space War 2

The Walter Clan’s assault tactics weren’t complicated: led by No. 8 Walter, the remnants of the Walter Fleet tore open the defenses at any cost, and then the 30 Walter high-ranking cadres hiding in the cabins charged straight toward the Interstellar Fortress.

Among them, No. 3 Hulk was the first to rush out. His mountain-like body went directly into triple Fusion Mode. Unlike other Carbon-based Species, who need to seek out High-level Bloodlines to fuse with, as a Clone species, the Walter Clan’s Carbon Fusion is to clone themselves and fuse with themselves.

Although this couldn’t bring those bizarre or overwhelmingly powerful Special Abilities, because the gene sequence of the clones was almost identical, the number of fusions a Clone could perform in Carbon Fusion far exceeded that of other Carbon-based Species.

Take No. 3 for example: starting from his first Carbon Fusion, he fused no fewer than one hundred of his own "Clones." This stacked his Basic Attributes up to a truly terrifying level.

And the most direct result of this explosive growth in Basic Attributes was that his Biological Magnetic Field had already approached the level of an Ascension Powerhouse, reaching the realm of "Biological Background Radiation."

Tens of thousands of Molecular Lasers and Gaseous Lasers, along with a dense, overwhelming barrage of coil cannons and High Altitude Cannons, almost at the instant they charged out, covered the space in front of them.

In interstellar war, the role of AI is immensely powerful—assisting the Commander and making him unstoppable.

But No. 3 had long anticipated this point. His "Biological Background Radiation" unfolded, and in an instant, the Physical Laws around him seemed to change. All Electromagnetic Weapons and Energy Weapons were detonated in advance before they could fully fall in front of him.

So it looked like each wave of light was higher than the last, but the True Damage was almost nil.

Back then, even the Kun’s Child’s Star-shaking Strike had been blocked by No. 3; let alone these normal Tier 2 Attacks.

This was his confidence.

In war at this scale, as long as you can break through Energy Defense and deal even -1 damage, then you can rely on sheer numbers to bury the Deadly Enemy.

However, not every attack was ineffective against "Biological Background Radiation."

No. 3 saw some "Dark Matter Rockets" landing on the "Biological Background Radiation," causing the originally twisted Physical Laws to suddenly recover a little.

"Dark Matter Weapons!"

"Could it be that the enemy’s Interstellar Fortress really is a Level 3 Civilization artifact?"

One Walter exclaimed in shock.

You have to know, Dark Matter and Dark Energy are actually general terms: any existence whose generation mechanism cannot be analyzed—if it has a physical state, it’s called Dark Matter; if it has no physical state, it’s called Dark Energy.

And research into them is "ultra-high-risk experimentation," something only top civilization laboratories can attempt, and only a civilization can take the ’semi-finished products’ of such experiments and perform preliminary weaponization.

A regular Interstellar Fortress wouldn’t have such products.

A single Dark Matter Rocket made the "Biological Background Radiation" wobble ever so slightly.

Sure enough, the Commander on the opposing side immediately noticed this. In the next instant, all Energy Weapons ceased fire and were replaced by thousands of Dark Matter Rockets carrying strange fluctuations. Even though the Walter Clan members fired back in succession, they only managed to destroy a small portion.

After all, Dark Matter is called Dark Matter precisely because no one knows its formation mechanism, let alone all of its effects.

Attacks landing on the Dark Matter Rockets were partly Annihilated, and partly refracted back; nobody knew whether this was due to kinetic Laws or spatial Laws.

No. 3 was, after all, not Tier 4, and his "Biological Background Radiation" was only "pseudo–Biological Background Radiation."

In an instant, quite a bit of black light seeped into his Domain, while the "Cosmic Background Radiation" that had originally been absorbed was restored, turning into countless light spots and particle streams. These light spots and particle streams flashed for a moment, then once again merged into the cosmic vacuum.

And the Domain covered by "Biological Background Radiation" shrank by a noticeable portion.

No. 3 calculated the distance left to penetrate the Interstellar Fortress, as well as the consumption rate of the Dark Matter Rockets, and immediately made a decision.

The area of "Biological Background Radiation" shrank a hundredfold in one go.

At the same time, nearly ten Walter Clan high-ranking cadres were thrown out.

"You help me block the enemy. Once I break through their fortress, I’ll come back to save you."

In these Walters’ ears, No. 3’s cold voice rang out.

Everyone understood that the second half of the sentence was a lie; it was basically the direct announcement of their death sentence.

"You bastard, Old Third!"

"I’m going to report to Little Mom, you sold us out!!"

"Third Bro, don’t leave me behind..."

These ten level 80 bosses hadn’t yet displayed their formidable Power, their ridiculous Blood Volume, or their various weird skills, before they were drowned by Dark Matter Rockets. A dense barrage of Energy Cannon Fire and Electromagnetic Weapons followed right after, leaving not the smallest gap for escape.

And by throwing out ten decoys and shrinking his own Domain, No. 3 finally hacked his way to the outskirts of the Interstellar Fortress. The thick fortress walls had long since, under the effect of the main drive engine propulsion chamber and the linkage of the reactors on each side, folded together layer by layer.

A massive Energy Wall, thicker than city ramparts, lit up.

Just like the Calamity Corps could hardly punch through the atmosphere of the Long-horned Whale Alpha, this kind of large-scale Energy Defense not only had incredibly strong defense with a value as high as 1,000,000, but its recovery speed was also frighteningly fast.

The reason Gao Gong dared to employ "human wave tactics" was partly his confidence in the Interstellar Fortress’s defenses.

A Level 3 Civilization creation that can be called a fortress is simply impossible to destroy in a small-scale skirmish.

It’s like a pistol can’t pierce a tank, and a long spear can’t pierce heavy armor.

And an assault on a star, placed within an interstellar war, is really a battle that couldn’t be more localized.

So even the Players’ Respawn Point was set on the Interstellar Fortress.

"Old Seven!!"

No. 7 Walter stepped forward. As a rare Superpower-side Clone, Walter had mastered an S-Level Superpower. He pressed his palm against the thick Energy Wall; in the next moment, his Human Form melted, and on the Energy Barrier, a human face squeezed out.

And following his operation, a thick crack split open.

"Hurry up, this is the map."

No. 3 instantly received his Brainwave, and with the help of the Biological Computer, generated a vast panoramic map in his Consciousness, quickly confirming the shortest route.

"Open up for me!!"

No. 3 burst through the Energy Wall and arrived before the massive alloy bulkhead. His figure swelled threefold compared to before. If he had been just a small Giant before, then now he was a complete Human-form colossus—his aura stirred the winds and clouds, his voice became thunder, his blood turned into rivers, his tendons into geography, his muscles into mountains.

With his explosive roar, the Space before his eyes seemed to blow apart. Over a dozen layers of bulkheads were blasted open with a single punch, revealing the corridor to the hatch.

And with this group of bosses barging in, it unsurprisingly fired up the Players.

"Holy shit, we finally get to fight a boss?! Brothers, grab your gear!"

"I said from the start, there’s no way this Dungeon would keep sending us to die. Good thing I didn’t go earlier."

"Damn, it’s that same Green-skinned from last time—this monster is insanely strong! A 5-Template big boss!"

"Last-hit, last-hit!"

At the same time, every Player on this Interstellar Fortress received wartime deployment orders. The rewards were extremely generous, and the target was very clear.
