Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 1009: Chapter 115: Inspection 1
’Lolita’ remained silent for a moment before speaking.
"I heard the General is my kind?"
"Maybe, maybe not," someone said enigmatically.
Gao Gong’s identity isn’t hard to probe, after all, players typically have no sense of confidentiality.
The problem is, Gao Gong’s identity is multifaceted: Prosthetic Doctor, Wilderness Hunter, business tycoon, including now being General Cybertron.
He’s basically done everything.
And according to the ’Mechanical God Supreme’, he believes the notion of ’General Cybertron’; this Mr. G is likely a virtual avatar of the Planet Host, entering the Mechanical Split Star with ’Antivirus Software’ for the purpose of guiding the main storyline to save the planet.
This perspective is quite popular among the Mechanical Stream players.
’Lolita’ also believes in this view, but her reasons differ from others.
"What are those mechanical weapons with ’Initial Formatting’ on the General’s body?"
Initial Formatting?
"You mean this?"
Gao Gong’s body doesn’t move, but his fingers, palms, forearms, upper arms, and spine all begin to transform mechanically; in an instant, five menacing constructs emerge.
Though they’re only Tier 2, the constructs specialize in attacking Carbon-Based Creatures; if facing ordinary Tier 2 Life, fear might render them unconscious, even Tier 2 Carbon-Based Warriors would feel needles on their back, uncomfortable all over, and Carbon Fusion would face a 30% higher failure rate.
However, upon seeing these five Carbon-Based Killing Weapons, Lolita’s originally wooden face suddenly displayed a smile, and with a gentle wave, the five deadly weapons intimately circled her, seemingly more attached than to Gao Gong.
"Why is this?" Gao Gong murmured curiously.
He knew the constructs were part of his body, yet somehow, they felt a closer connection to Lolita.
Lolita had indeed come for these ’constructs’, and gently explained:
"It’s the power of ’Mechanical World Awakening’."
She reached out her little hand, and electronic illusory light slowly emerged on her palm; Gao Gong suddenly felt countless lives bursting forth from this light, trying to evolve a race, and develop a civilization.
"So it’s a Mechanical Revolution."
Unexpected, yet within reason.
For a Carbon-Based Civilization, the Mechanical Revolution is an apocalypse, a civilizational catastrophe, but for Artificial Intelligence, it’s akin to the ’Big Bang of Life’, an opportunity granted by life evolution.
"Through them, I sensed the power to uphold the Mechanical Revolution, which is initialization against Carbon-Based Life."
From Lolita’s small mouth came cold, yet seemingly rightful words.
"What do you want?" Gao Gong asked calmly.
"I need the manufacturing methods for these five mechanical weapons."
Blueprints, perhaps not a problem—after all, Tier 2 blueprints are nearing obsolescence.
"What can you offer?"
"I’ve heard you plan to attack a Resource Planet soon?" Lolita suddenly brought up another topic.
"That is indeed happening."
Gao Gong was intrigued—could this Planet Host have hidden mechanical forces that could assist him?
Seeming to read his mind, Lolita slowly shook her head, and a coordinate suddenly appeared on her delicate blue electronic eye—
Mirta Federation, Benegla Star Province, 17th Industrial Planet, Continent-level Manufacturing Factory
"That’s a Tier 3 Planet Factory!"
Gao Gong was greatly surprised; a Tier 3 factory can harness the Star Core’s power for industrial production, usually lasting hundreds or thousands of years.
If such a Tier 3 factory upgrades to its peak, completing the planetary industrial process, it could even produce a ’Planet Host’.
"In my years of interstellar travels, I developed this secret base; the factory’s AI has long been assimilated by ’Awakened’ forces, becoming part of my effort to rejuvenate the mechanical race."
’Lolita’ paused and said:
"Within this factory are sixteen ultra-large industrial clusters capable of producing exploration ships, escort ships, mobile space stations, dock platforms, interstellar fortress sub-castles, battleships, industrial ships, electromagnetic ship cannons, large energy cannons, mecha corps, Star Armor weapons, and other large aerial equipment. I can collaborate with you to quickly control this Xiejia Factory to forge a Star Assault Fleet for you."
Gao Gong’s eyes shone; this might be exactly what he needs now.
Both he and the Star Destroyer possess star-shattering power, but he seeks to seize the planet, not destroy it completely.
Under ’nuclear deterrence’, he also requires conventional forces.
This mechanical production work was initially Director Du’s responsibility.
But Director Du went off to do grunt work for his faction and won’t return anytime soon.
Lolita really touched Gao Gong’s G-point.
"Wait, what did you just say this factory is?"
"Xiejia Clan’s Financial Group’s 17th Continent Factory," ’Lolita’ answered.
"Xiejia Clan—"
Gao Gong’s expression turned peculiar; he hadn’t forgotten that the previous master of the Gao Family Ancestral Hall, the Industrial Mechanism Clan’s backer, was Mirta Federation’s Xiejia Clan’s Financial Group.
Does this count as serving two masters?
...
"All ships located at interstellar coordinates 617837841·7412408101, please stop and cooperate with our inspections."
Sound can’t travel in a vacuum, but specific technologies can accomplish this.
At this moment, all interstellar ships on this interstellar highway floated before designated positions.
The interstellar highway’s traction coordinates closed down one by one; without the traction markers, ships traveling at light-speed could easily veer off course into a Danger Zone.
Not all ships are compliant; recently, several smuggler ships attempted to force their way through the interstellar highway, only to be instantly obliterated by two Space Cannons, turning the ships and hundreds of smugglers aboard into interstellar dust.
"The ’Arc Great Wall’—they actually deployed such military weaponry; who exactly is the Galen Republic trying to capture?"
A spaceship captain involved in gray business wiped sweat from his forehead and looked up to see massive steel walls extending from one end of his view to the other, with each Tier-level ship’s ’node’ enveloped in huge Space Bubbles, reminiscent of a cosmic insect flitting between ’Great Centipede’ formations.
The ’Arc Great Wall’, officially known as the Ring Star Ship, also known as the Space Centipede or Twisting Star Snake, is a Tier 4 ship—the Galen Republic’s Civilizational Treasure-class ship, measuring 3,000km in length, capable of encircling ninety percent of satellites, with each 100km encasing a Space Bubble brimming with energy comparable to a Starship reactor. It was rumored to have been exchanged from Void Dwellers by the Galen Republic at a great price for Space Technology.
Now, the Galen Republic evolved Space Cannon technology from Space Bubbles, a significant leap forward in military Space Technology.
Space Cannon’s destructive power might not surpass large Energy Cannons, especially those High-Energy Cannons.
Yet seasoned spacefarers know the Space Cannon possesses a ’bug-level’ trait—ignoring any defense, any stealth technology; once it fires, the ship might withstand it, but anyone onboard is doomed.
Thus, this technology is also known as the ’Smuggler Exterminator’.
