Greater Sancte Blood Tower felt satisfied with Kang Tian’s dazed reaction, and he slowly said, “Now that I’m here, Lan Meng is mine. I wasn’t nearly satisfied with my fight with Qi Xu back then.”

“I severely injured Lan Meng. It should not be returning anytime soon,” Greater Sancte Green Lotus stated. He had not yet shared an account of the recent events with Greater Sancte Blood Tower. The man had only heard Kang Tian’s last words as he arrived.

Greater Sancte Blood Tower was surprised. “You badly wounded Lan Meng? How did you fight him? Obscura always keep their faces hidden, refusing to fight anyone directly.”

“I’ll tell you later,” Greater Sancte Green Lotus replied. He then turned to Kang Tian. “The amount of Colored-Glass is still insufficient. I must trouble you a bit longer.”

Kang Tian glanced at Greater Sancte Blood Tower and quietly said, “Rest assured, I will do everything I can to help human civilization overcome this crisis. If we survive, could you lend your aid to my Tricolor Skyborne?”

“I won’t lie to you. All I can say is that we will do our best. With our human civilization having so many Immortals, even if the Seven-Treasure Anuras attack us with full force and outpower us, they will still fail to truly destroy us. The price to do so is too high to be worthwhile.

“The same is true of Obscura.

“This means that it is unlikely for our human civilization to be completely destroyed. What I can promise you is that we will help your species as much as possible, though I cannot guarantee success.”

Lu Yin knew that he was being praised, but being called an Aberrant did not sound very nice.

“Mr. Lu, where is your wife?” Greater Sancte Blood Tower suddenly asked.

Lu Yin was stunned. My wife?

Greater Sancte Awe Gate frowned. “What kind of ridiculous question is that?”

Greater Sancte Blood Tower said in a serious tone, “I intend to accept a goddaughter, and Mr. Lu’s wife would be perfect. A new disciple would do just as well.”

Greater Sancte Awe Gate scolded, “You haven’t even met her!”

“There’s no need. This is destiny.”

“You’re insane!”

“I need a goddaughter or disciple. There is too much yang energy among the inheritors of my Blood Tower.” The man appeared completely serious as he looked at Greater Sancte Awe Gate. “You’ve heard of the harmony of yin and yang, haven’t you?”

Greater Sancte Blood Tower then looked at Lu Yin. “Of course, if I hadn’t cleared that time, the River of Aeons and the Mirari Realm in your Tianyuan might or might not have returned to the main stream, but no one can say for sure. My actions were purely precautionary.

“Most branches of the River of Aeons in the various megaverses never merge back into the main stream, but some do. For instance, the Great Master’s River of Aeons didn’t vanish. It simply merged back into the main stream while her megaverse was destroyed.”

Lu Yin understood.

“In addition to that, I also circled the edge of our territory to see if any fishing civilization’s means had infiltrated our region. That is because they are not part of any one civilization, but rather are an act of mercy shown by certain beings or civilizations to those who are weaker. They can take many forms, like a stone, or perhaps a living creature.

“A Thread of Heaven will never carry a sign announcing itself as such, but when you see one, you will just know what it is. That is what I was referring to before.”

Lu Yin asked in confusion, “Why would you just know?”

Greater Sancte Blood Tower replied, “It’s similar how thirst drives you to drink water, or how certain animals will instinctively head towards a desert or a sea. You can’t explain why—you just know that such a place can help you. It might even be some kind of cosmic law.

“We’ve never created a Thread of Heaven, so we don’t really know. Throughout all my time in the Aevum Inch, I’ve only ever seen one.”

Greater Sancte Green Lotus nodded. “I’ve only seen one as well.”

Lu Yin looked at Greater Sancte Awe Gate, but she said nothing.

After leaving the Mindscape Megaverse’s Deep Rift Universe, Greater Sancte Awe Gate had wandered around the Aevum Inch for a thousand years. While that could not be considered a long time, she had returned as an Immortal.

Greater Sancte Green Lotus heaved another frustrated sigh. “Enough! Stop it, Blood Tower. Let’s get back to the point.”

Greater Sancte Blood Tower grunted. “When I found that Thread of Heaven, I slipped inside, but unfortunately, its master noticed me and escaped with it. I was left behind and delayed there for some time, which is why I’ve only returned just now.

“Not now. Who knows how long that trip would take? If the Seven-Treasure Anuras attack while I’m gone, I’d rather stay to help.”

If we are able to learn more about them, we might finally be able to strike back.

“I’ve learned about what you’ve done in the Tianyuan. When you faced Aeternus, you rallied powerhouses from multiple different parallel universes into a united force against your common enemy. Without those allies, you would have never been able to invade the Scourges.”

Lu Yin nodded. There was no denying that. Only by gathering experts from numerous universes had humanity been able to oppose Aeternus. It was also precisely because the Aeternals had spread themselves across so many universes that they had never been able to genuinely eradicate the humans of the Origin Universe.
