Chapter 3893: Everchange Valley

Chapter 3893: Everchange Valley

Lu Yin smiled faintly at Lu Siyu’s words. “Have your father suggest that the competition be held immediately. That’s his only chance to become the Four Commands Grand Swordmaster.”

Lu Siyu snarled. “Old Lu isn’t that shameless! I haven’t even gotten started on you yet! If we do this, everyone will believe that my East Command hired you.”

“That won’t happen.”

“Why not?”

“Figure it out yourself.”

“You-” Lu Siyu bit back her words and forcibly reined in her temper, though she continued to glare at Lu Yin. “You need to hurry up and leave. They’ve invited someone from the Everchange Valley. They’ll find you if you stay here.”

“So, have I completed your task?” Lu Yin asked.

Lu Siyu wanted to bite the man. “What do you think?”

“Is it done or not? You need to be clear, as I need to continue on to the next task,” Lu Yin said seriously.

Lu Siyu’s fury rose back up. She felt like this man was just toying with her. “You’re not done, and you never will be!”

Lu Yin shook his head. “And yet you’re trying to chase me away?”

“I’m afraid that you’ll be caught here by someone from Everchange Valley!” Lu Siyu snapped.

Lu Yin’s eyes lit up. “That’s a great idea.”

Lu Siyu’s eyebrows shot up, and she was about to explode. However, she then rolled her eyes and sneered at him. “You’ve been provoking me nonstop, and now you’re trying to lure the Everchange Valley here so that you can force me to say that you’ve completed my task, aren’t you? Well, forget it! It’s never going to happen! No matter what you do, it’s impossible for you to win. Hmph! You want to become Greater Sancte Green Lotus’s disciple? Keep dreaming!”

Lu Yin shrugged. “I never intended to become his disciple.”

Lu Siyu snorted, not trusting anything that Lu Yin said. “Regardless, unless Old Lu becomes the Grand Swordmaster, my task won’t be completed. If anyone finds you, he’ll never be able to win, no matter how strong he becomes. We can just give up for this generation, but you, hmph!”

Lu Yin chuckled. “Girl, you’re trying to be clever in this game you’re playing.”

Lu Siyu snorted contemptuously. “You think that I’m dumber than you? What a joke!”

“If I’m not mistaken, you’re the only moderately talented member of the East Command’s next generation, aren’t you?” Lu Yin commented lazily.

Lu Siyu’s expression shifted. She bit her lips and said nothing.

Lu Yin observed the woman. “You’re quite impressive.”

Lu Siyu’s eyes darted about before eventually meeting Lu Yin’s gaze. She then gave a cold snort and shut the window. Out of sight, out of mind.

“Your father is open-minded, and you’re cheerful like him, but a bit too narrow-minded.”

Inside her room, Lu Siyu fumed. That scoundrel dares to call me narrow-minded!

She wanted to fling the window back open and curse the man, but she restrained herself. Don’t get angry, don’t rush. He’s goading you, Siyu. Stay calm, and don’t let him provoke you.

“You’re a bit cute, but not even close to comparing to my wife.”

Lu Siyu clenched her fists and ground her teeth while glaring at the window, trying to ignore Lu Yin.

So, the little thief has a wife? No wonder he refused when Master asked him to marry us. Lu Siyu was aware of that matter, and she was amazed that anyone was able to reject the Seven Fairies. Well, that’s one point in his favor: he’s faithful.

But he’s still despicable! Peeping on people bathing? Vile thief!

“What’s this Everchange Valley? Can their people really find me?”

Lu Siyu pretended not to hear Lu Yin and refused to answer him.

“If you won’t tell me, I’ll stay right here. No one knows who I am anyway. Become a Greater Sancte’s disciple? I never wanted that. Since your task is already turning out like this, then the other six will probably be even worse. I might as well quit and drag the East Command down with me and make you infamous for generations.

“Every time there’s a competition for the position of the Four Commands Grand Swordmaster, people will warn, ‘Watch out for the East Command! They hire outsiders and play dirty.’”

Lu Siyu could not endure it any longer. She flung her window back open and glared at Lu Yin. “You’re the one playing dirty! I never told you to attack the other three directions, you shameless thief!”

Lu Yin folded his arms. “So, what’s the deal with the Everchange Valley? I refuse to believe that someone can track me down.”

Lu Siyu sneered while looking at Lu Yin like he was a country bumpkin. “You’re from one of the lower three megaverses, so of course you have no idea just how formidable the Everchange Valley is.

“They’re a unique power within our Nine Odysseys Megaverse. They rarely enter conflicts with others, but they are able to use the great powers in existence to track down anyone at all. No matter how great the expert is, when they take action, traces will be left behind. This is just as true of cultivators as it is of ordinary humans. They can even track a Greater Sancte.

“This is why the Everchange Valley cannot be offended.

“They’re like Master; they can perceive an unseen world.”

Lu Yin was surprised. “An unseen world?”

Longing could be heard in Lu Siyu’s voice. “Master cultivates the power of karma, so he can perceive the megaverse through the lenses of the world of karma. The Everchange Valley’s people can also see a world that is normally imperceptible. They call it the world of Heaven and Earth Aura.”

Heaven and Earth Aura? Could that be the same as the aura energy that Uncle Jiang and the others cultivate?

Lu Yin was suddenly very curious about the Everchange Valley. “Alright, I’ll wait for them to come find me.”

Lu Siyu shot one final glare at Lu Yin, but she said nothing more. She closed her window, making it obvious that she was done with him.

Lu Yin left the East Command. A few days later, he was sitting in a tavern at the center of the Four Commands Sword Sect, waiting for someone from the Everchange Valley to appear.

The competition for the Four Commands Grand Swordmaster had been postponed indefinitely, and Lu Yin could not leave the region until he had completed Lu Siyu’s task.

He did not doubt Greater Sancte Green Lotus’s promise that he would answer one of Lu Yin’s questions once all of the Seven Fairies’ tasks had been completed, but Lu Yin also knew that failure would have a price.

Tasks huh... Lu Yin swirled the wine in his glass. This was possibly the closest that he had ever come to actually being able to save the Tianyuan Megaverse. Nothing could be allowed to stop him from succeeding.

Lu Sizhan had to become the Four Commands Grand Swordmaster.

Lu Yin spent more than half a month in the tavern, doing nothing aside from replaying Lu Feichen and the others’ sword techniques in his mind.

The same trick would not work twice: crippling the competitions’ legs had already failed to ensure Lu Sizhan victory in the competition. After considering his options for days, Lu Yin had decided to analyze the other three’s techniques, break them down, and then teach Lu Sizhan how to exploit the weaknesses in each technique with his strength as an Ortuser and win by surprise.

It would not be easy, especially since Lu Feichen had a second hidden move. Lu Yin had not seen it, which meant that he could only deduce the nature of that technique.

Far away from the Four Commands Sword Sect, Si Jiushi was keeping an eye on things, despite not entering the sect himself.

As soon as he heard that Lu Feichen and the two other sect masters had been wounded, Si Jiushi had thought of Seventh Bro. While the fat man did not know Lu Yin’s true strength, he was still certain that he had identified the culprit.

He’s the only man who would behave in such an unrestrained, lawless fashion. Who else could have possibly done such a thing?

The Four Commands Sword Sect had held the competition for their Grand Swordmaster countless times over the ages without incident. But the moment that Lu Yin arrived, trouble had struck. Given that he had said from the beginning that he was traveling to the Four Commands Sword Sect, it had always been clear to Si Jiushi that his mysterious companion had a purpose.

Even so, Si Jiushi said nothing. He was more afraid than ever that Lu Yin would pin a few more crimes on the Five-Palm Sect. Should that occur, it would become impossible for Si Jiushi’s sect to explain the matter, regardless of how they argued.

Please, no more trouble! It would be best if the Four Commands Sword Sect simply eliminated him.

The Spirit Alliance had also grown restless. The White Jade Clan had trained fighters with the appearance of War Clan members, and they had attacked Lu Yin. After that, he had proceeded to drag the Brocade Clan into the mess. The Brocade Clan had initially blamed the War Clan for Lu Yin’s attack. The two clans had then worked together to investigate the matter, and it had only taken days for them to trace the plot back to the White Jade Clan. This was because there were traitors hidden within the White Jade Clan.

This had led to things becoming chaotic for the Spirit Alliance, as both the Brocade and War Clans were putting pressure on the White Jade Clan.

The White Jade Clan had quickly sought outside help from the Autumnspring Slip. People from the Autumnspring Slip had then approached the Spirit Alliance and attempted to suppress the entire matter, but the other clans had refused. Some were supported by organizations or individuals who were the Autumnspring Slip’s enemies while others had no such motivations, but simply wanted the Spirit Alliance to avoid outside influences.

This had led the Spirit Alliance to split into two camps that were at odds with each other over the affair.

The Spirit Alliance no longer had any interest in what happened with the Four Commands Sword Sect, as their internal issues were a much greater concern.

At this moment, the White Jade Clan hated the Five-Palm Sect more than anyone else.

It was true that the White Jade Clan had sent people disguised as members of the War Clan to attack the Five-Palm Sect, and they had been discovered. That was fine, and retaliation would have been acceptable. However, why had the Brocade Clan been dragged in? How was that anything less than stirring up trouble for nothing? The Five-Palm Sect’s people were not simply crazy, but also twisted.

This was how things developed as Lu Yin waited for more than half a month.

The Four Commands Sword Sect finally welcomed their visitor from Everchange Valley: Elder Le.

Elder Le was a Thousand Changes expert from the Everchange Valley. He roamed about the megaverse and was respected by all. Even the Four Commands Sword Sect had been extremely respectful when requesting the man’s presence, and they had also paid a price to do so.

Such respect was owed not only because of his affiliation with the Everchange Valley, but also because of Elder Le’s personal ability.

The people of the Everchange Valley read Heaven and Earth Aura while cultivating the Way of Myriad Changes. It was divided between the Ten Changes realm, Hundred Changes realm, Thousand Changes realm, and Myriad Changes realm. There were legends of a Heaven and Earth Phenomena realm, but no one had ever achieved that.

While the Thousand Changes realm was beneath the Myriad Changes realm, it was still very impressive as it allowed a person to observe the traces of battles fought by Dukkhans.

After Elder Le arrived in the Four Commands Sword Sect, Lu Feichen, Lu Bi, Lu Jing, and Lu Sizhan all greeted the man, hoping to catch a glimpse of the mysterious attacker the moment he was found. Additionally, they were accompanied by several Dukkhans who had obtained their power through Seed Transfusions. At this moment, the full might of the Four Commands Sword Sect was revealed, and it intimidated the entire region.

Xian Ding and many others followed behind, waiting to see the results. They also wished to know who the attacker was.

Only a true pinnacle expert could possibly defeat the Four Commands Sword Sect’s sect masters with a single attack each. Xian Ding did not know if even his own master was capable of doing the same, but clearly, the mysterious attacker was at least as powerful as the Azuresword Sovereign.

If the Four Commands Sword Sect had been attacked by someone obsessed with the sword, then it was highly possible that his next target would be Xian Ding’s master. Thus, he needed to be prepared.

Elder Le silently stood just outside of the South Command, his eyes closed as he sensed something. He remained in place for several hours before finally opening his eyes and moving straight towards the East Command.

Many eyes turned to look at Lu Sizhan. Could the East Command really have hired the attacker?

Lu Sizhan instantly grew nervous, though his expression remained calm and inscrutable.

There was no need for him to offer any explanation; Lu Jing and even Lu Feichen had already spoken up in Lu Sizhan’s defense. They were certain that the East Command had no connection to the attacker. His sword skill was overwhelming, and he had been lured to the Four Commands Sword Sect by the sword, nothing more.

On the other hand, Lu Bi still had doubts regarding Lu Sizhan. Still, a connection could not be determined just because Elder Le was going towards the East Command.

The group arrived at the border of the East Command. Once there, Elder Le once again closed his eyes and started his search.

Within the region, Lu Siyu grew nervous. Lu Yin had visited their home more than once.

Elder Le soon opened his eyes, turned, and then began walking in another direction. People had no choice but to follow after him.

Lu Sizhan let out a breath of relief. He had almost lost control.

Elder Le was currently headed towards the center of the Four Commands Sword Sect.

Lu Yin was sitting in a tavern, swirling wine in a cup while observing the ripples in his drink, lost in his own thoughts.

It was impossible for him to deduce Lu Feichen’s second move in such a short amount of time.

After all, Lu Feichen was a Dukkhan. The idea of easily understanding the man’s hidden trump card was a joke. It looked like Lu Yin would have to roll his die. He might need at least a year to simulate that hidden technique.
