Chapter 506 - 506: Abyss is coming

While Silva was in the middle of preparing his next attack, the head of the abyss monster began to heal. At the same time, one of its massive hands started moving upwards, as if it was attempting to catch Silva before he could make his next move.

"Tch, seems you are tougher than expected," Silva muttered.

He pointed the card downward and tossed it into the air. The card exploded before transforming into a massive spear, with a single eye positioned right at the place where the spearhead should have been. The eye looked like that of a monster, twisted and completely diabolic.

The abyss monster seemed to notice the spear in Silva's hand. It sensed the immense abyss energy coming from it and immediately reacted. It opened its mouth, and a massive blast shot out, ripping through the air as it headed directly toward Silva.

Silva pulled his arm back, pouring everything he had into the spear.

Then he hurled it at full speed.

The spear stabbed directly through the blast, cutting through it extremely fast. It continued forward without slowing down and slammed directly into the mouth of the abyss monster.

A massive explosion ripped through the air.

The eye on the spear looked around the inside of the abyss monster's mouth before it proceeded to release a black liquid. The liquid hardened almost instantly and began spreading throughout the inside of its body.

It stabbed through the inside of the abyss monster, completely controlling its movements. Every time the monster tried to move, the hardened black substance caused massive amounts of blood to spill from its body.

The abyss monster struggled.

Silva watched it while reaching for another card.

But before he could pull one out, a massive heartbeat suddenly ran through his entire body.

Thump!

Silva's eyes widened.

Thump!

The heartbeat was heavy and painful at the same time. He immediately clutched his chest and almost fell from the sky.

"What the hell…"

His body shook as another heartbeat ran through him.

The sudden pain caused him to lose control of the attack he had just launched. The black liquid inside the abyss monster began to weaken, and the monster immediately noticed the change.

It started breaking free.

"What is happening to me?" Silva asked out loud.

"Seems you are reacting to the Abyss," Zion replied.

Silva frowned.

"Reacting to the Abyss? I've been using Joker of the Abyss multiple times now. How come nothing like this has ever happened?"

Zion remained silent for a moment.

Silva noticed that his attention had shifted toward the rift above them.

"It seems that before now, you have always been disconnected from the rift fully," Zion explained. "The Abyss did not exist in this universe, so your connection to it was limited."

Silva listened carefully.

"But now the rifts are opening all around the universe, and the Abyss is seeping in. Its full strength is finally coming into this universe, and it is affecting every user of the Abyss."

Zion paused.

"It is trying to reconnect with you."

Silva was stunned.

Before he could even process what Zion had said, the abyss monster finally broke completely free.

The hardened black substance inside its body shattered apart.

Silva looked toward it.

Then something happened that he did not expect. The body of the abyss monster suddenly began to crack.

Its entire body shattered into multiple pieces.

Silva stared.

"What?"

The pieces continued breaking apart before transforming.

One after another, they became smaller versions of the abyss monster. Each one was around six to seven feet tall, and within moments, hundreds of them filled the sky.

Hundreds of abyss monsters surrounded Silva.

Silva looked around at them.

"We can't focus on this now. We'll figure out what is wrong later."

He reached for another card.

"For now, we have to take out this abyss monster."

His fingers touched the card.

Thump!

The heartbeat struck him again.

Silva's entire body froze.

The pain became so heavy that he collapsed in the air.

He immediately spread his wings and used them to catch himself before he could fall. He struggled to breathe as he remained in the air. The Joker of the Abyss form began disappearing. His body returned to its normal form.

Silva gritted his teeth.

"Seems I can't use that form anymore."

He made a mental note to research what was happening to him after this was over.

But for now, he had a bigger problem.

Hundreds of versions of the abyss monster were now surrounding him.

He needed backup.

Silva immediately summoned all ten of his clones.

One after another, they appeared around him, each one ready to fight.

Silva looked at them.

He gave a simple nod.

They all understood.

The clones immediately flew in different directions, each one moving toward a different version of the abyss monster.

Silva remained in the air for a moment.

Then he locked his eyes onto one of the monsters that was flying directly toward him.

He pulled out his sword.

The abyss monster came closer.

Silva tightened his grip around the sword.

Then he shot forward.

His sword moved as he went in for the slash, it blocked with all four arms at the same time, a shockwave spread out, Silva pushed back the abyss monster and was about to launch another attack, but more of clone abyss monster shot his way, moving fast through the air.

They encircled him and attacked hard, but he was not allowing them get close, he slashed in a wide circle that created a circle of black flames, the attack pushed all of them back while he charged at one, it attacked and he weaved to the side before stabbing through its chest and killing it,

He retreated in the air as another rushed at him, opening its mouth and shooting a blast, he blocked the attack with his sword. The others also attacked at the same time with their blast to pushed him back and shattered his deffense, but he did not allow it get through.
