Chapter 479 - 479: Using the Joker
Silva looked at Gara with a tired look; he was no longer interested in fighting against the fellow.
“There is a more pressing issue now,” Silva said and moved to walk away.
“The fight is not over,” Gara thundered. He forced himself into a stance and was ready to take down Silva at any cost, but Silva, on the other hand, was now tired of him. He looked at Gara with eyes that held no interest.
“Fine, then I’ll end this in a way that makes you know your weaknesses,” Silva said. He turned around calmly and took one step, and in that moment transformed into the Joker of the Abyss.
When Aris, who was in the stands with the group, saw this, he was instantly stunned. He pointed at Silva. “What the hell? He just transforms and all his energy changed as well.” He looked at Dawn, Lily, and Drake, thinking that they would be as shocked as him, but the carefree look in their eyes told him that they had seen this one too many times and were now accustomed to it.
The more he learned about Silva, the more stunned he became. Silva kept walking in this form and then he produced a deck of cards. Then he slowly looked at Gara.
“Attack me now and take your win if you can, because if I pull from my deck, not even a god can save your soul.”
Hearing such high bragging infuriated Gara even more. He silently promised that his next attack would bring Silva down. He channeled all his divine energy and instantly the entire auditorium began trembling.
The dome could not take this much strain and soon it began to cave. The invisible dome shattered, the force of the power uprooted chairs from the stands and blasted holes through the walls, and the power kept growing, and at this rate the entire building would be brought down.
Demigods were world destroyers at their core, and even if all the required steps to stop them had been set in place, when one got genuinely mad, whatever stood in their way would surely fall.
“His power is genuinely impressive, far better than the elders of that world. Tch, his own is pure and extremely potent, sadly he came against the dark dragon,” Silva thought quietly. He watched, slightly eager to see what this Gara would deliver.
Gara swung his sword back, and that action alone created a massive slash force that slammed into the walls of the auditorium and blasted through it, leaving a massive gash in the wall.
“Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh, I’ll not fall to someone like you, the pride of my tribe will not be shattered here, die! DRAGON’S ROARRRRRRRRRRRR!”
He unleashed the slash, pulling his hands forward with every strength that he had. An arc far taller than the building ripped out, it tore through the roof and ripped into the skies. It destroyed everything that stood in its way and headed for its target. The force surrounding it uprooted every single stand and tore the walls up.
Lily created a field of space around them to defend them from the attack. Everyone watched with calm expressions, looking at the attack heading for Aren and yet none of them panicked at all.
Aren looked at the attack, and with eyes wide open, he was pleased to see the sight, excited to see the attack. Gara had not let him down, sadly this was far from enough to stop him or do anything to Aren.
“Hahaha, pretty good attack, and for that I’ll take it seriously, you have at least managed to make me summon a clone.”
Aren summoned one clone fast enough, who immediately transformed into a massive dragon as large as the building, and then the dragon unleashed a breath of abyss flames that slammed into the attack. The attack fought against the flames, but at the end of the battle, the flames won and the attack was nullified.
The clone vanished and only the Joker of the Abyss Silva stood there.
Gara looked in shock, his world-splitting attack, the one that if he properly targeted at a small world would undeniably destroy the world, yet it was stopped.
“What? What monster are you?” he managed to mutter.
“The dark dragon,” Silva replied before flipping through his cards and pulling one out. “Now it’s my turn.”
He lifted the card and on it were chains coming from the ground and latching onto the figure of a man, pulling him to the abyss.
“A good one, I see,” Silva said and then looked at Gara. “Bye bye,” he muttered calmly, and instantly chains from the ground shot out and latched onto Gara.
Gara immediately tried to break free and move, but more chains tied him up and instantly started pulling him down. He couldn’t fight, he couldn’t stop it in any way at all. He kept getting pulled deeper and deeper into the abyss until he vanished right before their eyes.
Silva stood there and looked until the abyss vanished. Silva turned and looked at the group, Aris was staring at him with so much fear and shock in his eyes.
Silva transformed back and then spoke, “We should leave and see what’s happening, maybe we can help.”
“You just casually took down a demigod like it was nothing, what the hell?” Aris said.
“You’ll get used to it,” Lily said calmly before getting up.
“Get used to it? That makes absolutely no sense,” Aris said.
“Silva doesn’t follow what makes sense,” Dawn stated, staring at Silva standing there with full admiration in her eyes and also pain, pain that she couldn’t really stand on the same level as him.
They walked out of the auditorium and into the town they were in, only to see that the skies had been torn open and a portal to the abyss was open, allowing abyssal monsters to rush out.
Silva looked at this, he frowned slightly. “This is definitely not good at all,” he said with a slight look of worry on his face.
