SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 433 - 433: Worms

Silva walked out of the portal, he expected to find someone, but there was no one there, only a heat that could scorch skin, and air so hot it burned the back of his throat with every breath.

He looked around first, and he was completely surrounded by a massive desert. There was no place or building as far as his eyes could see.

“This is not looking good,” he muttered. Here he was in a new world, in a desert with no idea of where he was exactly. The entire situation right now wasn’t nice.

He handed Snow to Dawn. “Hold her, please,” he said, and she took her. Dawn was half asleep, and she was almost asleep. He considered that a good thing because until they properly found out where they were or where to go, he didn’t want to bother with her or anything else right now.

“Master, are you sure Lady Ophelia sent you to the right place?” Drake asked. He scanned the surroundings with his eyes. “It’s also odd that the sun of this planet seemingly has no effect on me,” Drake added.

“I believe you are no longer logically bound to Argon, so the logic of Argon doesn’t apply to you here,” Silva said. Then he held his chin, looking around a little more. “Unless you find a world where the logic of your race is reinstated, then it can affect you.

That reminds me, it’s not important to us now, but we never really found your race,” Silva said.

“I believe that with people like the Demon Lord, it will be fairly easy to find their location,” Drake replied. Silva nodded and focused back on the desert.

“Hmmmmm, now the question is where to go from here,” he said, then turned to Lily. “Have any ideas?”

“Not really, maybe we could fly out of here,” she suggested.

“Not a bad idea,” Silva said and tried to transform, but before he could, the ground started shaking. He felt the tremor coming closer every second.

“Something is coming, and it’s coming fast,” he said. He took out his sword and got into his stance.

“Everyone, back down,” he said, and they did just that, giving him space as he waited for whatever it was that was coming.

When it was close, he felt the aura of the creature, and he could tell right there that it was massive.

Boom!

A massive sand worm burst out of the ground, so large that Silva looked like a small pebble before it. He was thrown into the air by the force of the worm, so he got to see a better view of the worm from up there.

It was massive, with what looked like a soft white body, and for the mouth, it had rows and rows of teeth that looked like a grinder. There was an extremely long tongue inside the mouth, one that he was sure was used for catching prey.

After sizing up his opponent, Silva was ready to go, but out of nowhere, a spear ripped through the air, twisting so fast it created its own field around it.

Bam!

It slammed into the worm and knocked it back, digging deep and splattering black blood everywhere.

But the worm was far from killed. A figure came from the sky, a man with long black hair, wearing simple black clothes that looked like advanced body armor, because when he flexed his arms, the armor lit up with golden patterns.

He stretched out his hand and the spear flew out of the worm back to the man. He grabbed it, and the spear also gained those golden patterns.

His feet barely touched the ground before he lunged forward, up into the air again. He spun the spear around and went for an attack.

The worm seemed to have recognized this new threat and immediately tried to attack first with its tongue, but the man dodged midair and with a swing of his spear ripped the tongue out.

Screeeeech!

The worm cried in pain, but the man didn’t let up. He leaped into the air and used an overhead strike. Some sort of projection formed behind him, a massive golden warrior with a spear.

The attack hit the worm head-on and split its head into two halves. Black blood sprayed all around and the body collapsed to the ground.

He landed on the ground, but he didn’t let down his guard. He kept looking as if he was waiting for more.

A few seconds passed and two more worms burst out of the ground. They were slightly smaller than the first one, but they lunged forward at top speed.

He stood there unwavering, waiting, and then he dashed forward, running at top speed. One punched at him, he dodged, but the force when it slammed into the ground threw him into the air.

He lunged his spear with all his strength and it penetrated the head of one. He snapped his finger and a massive golden force field formed inside the head of the worm, forcing it to explode from inside.

He called back the spear and moved toward the second one. It attacked, but he easily dodged and got above it with one jump. He threw the spear and it lodged deep into the head before exploding like the other one and killing the worm.

The man landed on the ground, caught his spear, and then started walking toward Silva and his group.

Silva was on guard. He stretched out his sword, the man looked at the sword, and he let out a small chuckle. “Put away your weapon, I’m here to help you. Ophelia sent me to you,” he said, his voice calm.

Silva slowly dropped the sword, but he kept his guard up.

“We should leave here. The worms you just saw were all infants. We have to leave before the real ones come, that would be a very massive problem,” he said. He made the spear in his hand vanish first and then started walking.
