SSS-Rank MILF Hunting System
Chapter 82: The Shock Of The Group
Seeing and hearing were two completely different experiences. Darius Vale had heard about the secret invasion of the orcs and their ongoing plans. At first he thought it could be that serious, as orcs shouldn’t be openly expanded right under the capital.
But now seeing it for the first time, even just a glimpse of what it could offer, made him finally understand how severe the situation was.
Darius Vale contemplated out loud. "How were the orcs able to do it?"
No one answered, as their expressions were also grave.
Only Leon, an outsider, had a somewhat calm demeanor. To him, what happened has already happened. He wasn’t able to change it in the past, but he had the power to correct it in the present. So he would do that right now.
However, what they experienced made them beyond shocked. There were forks and forks in this underground tunnel. Each leading to a different destination. If it weren’t for Gul-Min, they would have been lost.
And it was this unknown factor, among many others, that the higher-ups didn’t immediately launch their assault.
"How is this possible!? What have we been doing?" Marcus Ironwall questioned himself. He had witnessed war against the orcs and had seen how much hatred every race had for each other.
So, how couldn’t the strongest stronghold, the capital of humanity’s strongest empire, let the orcs run around under their noses?
"Those noble families! They are trying to rebel!" Silvana Dawncrest gritted her teeth in rage. Her hatred for her fellow race was more than for the orcs. She understood the orcs needed strong inside work to accomplish this level of work.
Silvana Dawncrest had already heard of the smaller noble families joining hands with the orcs, but she was now sure there was a bigger fish, a commanding family at least, to let orcs do so much. In her heart she only prayed it wasn’t hers or it might lead to a big disaster.
The two deputy commanders’ faces also turned grave. No one knew what was going on in their heads, but one could assume their impression of their own race had been dampened to a severe degree.
Meanwhile, Leon pondered out loud. "How did we get finessed by the orcs so hard? Is it only them making plans while we are just sitting quietly? The emperor can’t be this clueless."
Leon had to think this as he was surprised by the commanders’ and deputy commanders’ reaction. In all these years, he shouldn’t be the only one who came in contact with these orcs and busted their secret so easily. No matter how much the orc suppressed, one or two incidents should have reached the ears of the people in power.
Elayne Frostveil’s brows furrowed as she said to Leon. "I think you can’t comment on the emperor like this. He is the spokesperson and the guardian of humanity. I am sure he is kept in the dark too."
Leon looked at this young woman with interest for the first time and didn’t refute her. He knew he had spoken everyone’s darkest thoughts here, and no one else spoke up. All because of the deep respect they had for the emperor, only someone like him could speak about the emperor like this.
All of a sudden, Gul-Min’s voice came from the front. "We are about to arrive."
Everyone threw back the worries in the back of their heads for now. They had pressing matters in their hands at this moment.
They saw bright light growing out, impacting their vision and overwhelming the cluster of fire on Aldric.
Aldric put out the fire and looked ahead cautiously, and so did others as they reached the end of the light.
"This... is this the weakest underground base you were talking about?" Marcus asked Aldric in astonishment.
Because, ahead of them was a large village with many orcs walking around. The males trained and farmed, while females gathered around their houses made of mud and wood.
A large ball of glass held golden fire, illuminating the village and providing warmth.
In the middle of the village was a large tent, guarded by several large orc men. Within its vicinity were bones and blood but no life.
"The Fetus of Emberwomb! How... how did they get their hands on this!?" Elayne Frostveil exclaimed out loud, looking at the artificial sun.
Leon, who was not knowledgeable about different races, asked curiously. "What is the Fetus of Emberwomb?"
Darius answered on behalf of everyone. "Emberwomb are a special race born inside a volcano. They are a ball of fire essence when they are formed. They absorb the fire deep buried in the ground to shape their body and the core crust for skin. The moment they are born, they have already reached Master-Rank."
"So you can guess how strong they are. The Emberwombs are right behind Dragons and Winged Spirits." Darius said with awe. "The one inside that glass ball is the fetus of an Emberwomb. At this stage they are like miniature suns, providing life and light like it. They are also perfect items to help master the fire element or to tamper with your body. Because of their immense level of usage, they are sought after everywhere."
"However," Aldric took over the conversation. "Not everyone can deal with the wrath of Emberwombs. If not for the two forbidden races, they would have been one of the masters of this world. So for the orcs to have one... how much have they sacrificed to get their hands on one of these?"
Everyone’s face turned horrified as this wasn’t the only underground base; there were many others yet to discover, and who couldn’t say those also didn’t possess a fetus of Emberwomb?
Leon also became shocked. With just this amount of information, he has already grasped the situation. He uttered with amazement. "Unless the Emberwombs are wiped out, the fetuses shouldn’t be spread in masses."
He turned his head to Aldric and asked. "Do we know if anything happened to Emberwombs?"
