Chapter 57: Taking In A Traitor

Seeing Leon standing upright—safe and sound—Nyxia and Pooland sighed in relief.

Nyxia hurried toward Leon and hugged his arm. "Husband, I am glad you are fine."

Leon smiled and patted his wife’s arm. "With such beautiful wives by my side, how can I put myself in danger? I should be asking if everything is okay on your end."

Pooland answered from the side. "Everything’s fine, Leon. The trouble we encountered was quickly solved by the commander, whom they secretly called."

Leon became a little surprised as he thought Pooland called his brother-in-law, not the girls.

’It seems like they were too worried about us, so they informed their brother-in-law beforehand.’ Leon now understood why the worry on his girls’ faces vanished a couple of days ago.

Turning his head to Aldric, Leon said. "Thank you, brother-in-law."

"You bastard! Why are you hiding this huge operation from me?" Aldric squinted his eyes, questioning Leon.

Leon shook his head helplessly. "Brother-in-law, you are saying this is a big operation because of the huge secret that just busted open. But if it was just some normal hidden operation of the Rosenthal Family, we wouldn’t be standing here together and be worried about the future."

Aldric also knew this. He just wanted to vent a little because he was very mad at the discovery of the orcs’ giant operation under his nose.

Then Aldric shifted his gaze to the orc woman standing behind Leon obediently. "Now, tell us about this orc. What are you going to do to her?"

Nyxia and Pooland were also curious. They had noticed her the moment they entered, but concerned for Leon’s well-being, they didn’t mention it first.

"Oh, her." Leon smiled and pointed his head at Cynthia. "She is my new wife."

"What!?" Everyone’s widened in absolute shock. Leon wanted to marry a woman from another race and from an enemy on top of that.

Aldric, who held the most grudge towards the orc among anyone here, burst out in rage. "What are you saying!? Have you lost your mind? Try to stop thinking about your dick once! Why are you inviting your enemy to your house!? Have you thought about Elara’s feelings!?"

Nyxia and Pooland silently nodded their heads, agreeing with Aldric. However, they didn’t question Leon, as they knew he wasn’t someone who would be consumed by lust.

"Sigh~" Leon knew the biggest hurdle had come. He had also considered Elara’s feelings, and because of that, he made this decision. This insider information was massive to greatly injure the orcs, getting closer to Elara’s revenge.

"Brother-in-law, please calm down. Listen to me first." Leon said, shielding Cynthia as the heat wave emitted from Aldric’s body.

Then he continued. "Brother-in-law, I know she is an enemy, but she has made me a promise that can turn our situation against the orcs completely, and for this I have to make her my woman; that is her request."

Aldric became a little interested hearing they had a chance to damage the orc completely. Toning down his anger, Aldric asked. "What will she reveal?"

"Everything." Leon’s answer left everyone dumbfounded, as this meant Cynthia was clearly a traitor.

Aldric’s heart fluttered as he knew how hard it was to find a traitor who would willingly reveal the secrets they know, especially from the race he hates the most. However, he still felt weird having an orc woman as his new sister and his sister’s new partner.

"But..." Aldric subsconsciously wanted to deny Leon, but Nyxia suddenly grabbed Aldric’s arm.

Nyxia stared at Aldric, assuring him. "Brother Aldric, we can handle it."

She might not have as much hatred as the Vayne siblings, but as a human, she had inherent disgust for her enemy race. So, to inflict damage on her enemies, she didn’t have an enemy in their family, and Elara also wouldn’t mind it.

Then Leon suddenly said, "Brother-in-law, I will bear everything for you. So, give our bond a chance. I am sure it will reward everyone greatly."

Aldric eventually had to accept it in his heart, as this kid would never speak with confidence if he wasn’t sure of himself.

"Umm... I think we should talk later. There are so many figures in our direction." At that moment, Pooland spoke up, his gaze outside the window. He also wanted to ask his brother what was truly going on more than anything, but it wasn’t time.

Aldric took a glance through the window and said. "You guys leave quietly. I will handle the rest."

Aldric had to come forth and explain everything. He was strong enough to retaliate against any action but not them. If everyone saw them and knew their deeds, their lives would be constantly in danger, despite not being an enemy.

Your chance of losing your life to a foreign race is small, but losing your life to your own race? It is higher than finding trash on the street.

Everyone nodded their heads, preparing to head out.

Firstly, Cynthia changed into her human form in a matter of seconds, leaving everyone in awe.

’What a flawless method! No wonder they were able to hide so easily. I can’t peer through this disguise a little.’ Aldric exclaimed in his mind, amazed.

Then Cynthia took the baby in her arms.

Nyxia squinted her eyes and asked. "You already have a child?"

Cynthia smiled, looking at her fellow colleague. She answered, especially saying it to Aldric. "This baby is not mine. However, he is the core secret of the orcs in the human capital."

Aldric’s face turned serious, imprinting the image of the baby in his mind. He also thought it was Cynthia’s child, not regarding a massive secret.

Afterwards, they quickly walked away from the inn and headed straight to Elara’s tailor shop.

Meanwhile, Aldric was held by the spokesperson of every power, having to blurt out the incident that just occurred and the reason for his angry outburst.

At first everyone thought it was some personal grudge, but when they heard the orcs had infiltrated the capital and were hiding in the open, their eyes widened in absolute silence.

They knew the peaceful days were finally over.
