THE COMMON NET was really convenient.

Neo had added all the team members to a friend list, before he left that out of the way town they had rested at.

And now he had to endure Sofia’s incessant pestering, as he tried to figure out all of the functions of this wonder provided by the Immortal World.

There was an option to blacklist people, but Neo felt it would be too much.

This was something he knew would happen.

He had still done it anyway.

Now, he dismissed the screen.

Really convenient.

Outside, there was a lot of things to see.

As they traveled to the gathering place, where the details of the exploration was going to be discussed, there wasn’t a lack of sights to take in.

They were in an open top carriage.

Neo took in the sight of the trees on either sides of the road.

All of them now had an ethereal quality to them.

Almost like they were no longer of this mortal world.

Not only the trees.

This was something that he had noticed in everything he had seen since he came back.

"I don’t know where you have been, but the world has gone through a lot of changes."

Kotil said this, as he noticed Neo’s observation of the land around them.

"What can the world do if not change."

Neo gave a simple reply.

He thought of the quake that had shook the legacy space, before the Ancient Supreme had teleported him away.

According to the team, it had affected not only the legacy space, but the whole world as well.

It had caused a catastrophe for the whole mortal world.

The world would naturally adapt to take care of that.

What could it do, if not change.

"How long will it be until we reach the place."

"It won’t be long. We are almost there."

Neo wasn’t being impatient. He just wanted to get things done as soon as he could.

The carriage traveled all the way without stop, until they arrived at their destination.

An upscale inn in a small town.

The other adventurers entered first, with Kotil and Neo taking up the rear.

Kotil was respectful, as he let Neo enter the inn before him.

Neo looked at the common floor of the inn.

None of the people here had anything in common with being ordinary.

The weakest person was at the eighth level.

All of them carried the air of seasoned adventurers.

People who braved dangers on a regular basis.

Neo noticed everyone in the common floor had gathered into groups.

This arrangement looked somewhat familiar.

"Neo! "

A loud voice broke the calm atmosphere of the floor.

Neo looked towards the source.

It was Raela.

The young lady from the Families.

The first person to call him an Immortal World brat.

Neo felt it was good to see another familiar face.

After how long he had spent alone in that world.

The familiar did bring its own kind of comfort.

Neo might have found some joy in her enthusiasm, but not everyone shared the same feeling.

Everyone on the floor had turned their attention to the young lady.

Many were not pleased with her shout.

But Neo didn’t care.

"Raela!"

He walked to her.

His own shout brought the attention on him.

But it was more of the observant kind.

Most here didn’t know him.

But seeing as Kotil walked respectfully behind him.

They kept their quiet.

"How have you been?"

Neo asked.

Raela had been sitting with one of the groups.

The people with her were no doubt members of her family.

Neo had been observing the common floor as he entered.

As he walked across to meet Raela, he never stopped his observation.

He knew now that this was a gathering of families.

But there didn’t seem to be only families here.

There were more than eight groups here after all.

And some of the other people here, were people he recognized to not be from families.

There were the ones who looked like they were from the military.

He recognized someone there.

Then there was another group, with people of different affiliations sitting together.

He also recognized another person there.

There were also other groups.

The common floor was large enough to take all of them.

"I should be asking you that. In which hole have you hidden yourself all these years."

Neo felt this young lady hadn’t changed at all.

She was still her usual self.

There was no way she wasn’t aware of the fact that he was the one who inherited the legacy.

"I have been busy training."

Neo held his arms out.

As if asking her to witness the effect of his training.

She scrutinized him all over.

There was no doubt that he had changed a lot.

"So, you came here to show everyone how great you are?"

"Nah. You are the first person I came to see. Everyone just got in the way."

Neo felt that to some extent, he could match the energy of this young lady.

"You are still the same Immortal World brat. I am really tempted to punch you in the face."

"I really should protect my face then. With your ninth level essence cultivation, my face isn’t safe."

Raela was surprised. He could see her cultivation.

"You monster! What level are you now? Tenth level?"

She shook her head at the absurdity of it all.

"Did the immortal feed you cultivation?"

She grabbed his hands, poking him all over, as if to check if he was real.

The two continued their conversation, like no one else was there with them on the common floor.

Kotil sat in the place where Raela’s family was.

He sat beside the leader of their group.

One of the people who had contended with him for the position to lead that exploration into the special domain.

The one which turned out to be the legacy of an immortal.

He had also broken the limit.

He wasn’t the only one.

All of them who had contended for that position then, had also broken the limit.

This changed new world had afforded them a lot of opportunities.

"Who is this new friend of yours, Kotil."

Kotil gave the man a look.

Didn’t he see that one of his family people, was already hand in hand with his so called friend?

Couldn’t he ask her?

"His name is Neo."

The man was puzzled.

He knew no one important who went by that name.

"You remember the legacy? The name of the one who ranked first?"

The man’s confusion slowly turned into shock.

He was startled.

This was the person who inherited the legacy?

He examined Neo well.

He was a young man, no doubt.

Even younger than Raela who was acting so childish next to him.

"Are you certain?"

Kotil gave him a look.

"Unlike you, I reached the top ten. I am certain."

This was an unexpected surprise.

The one who inherited the legacy. Here he was in the flesh.

The man clapped his hands.

A soundwave spread through the common floor.

Everyone became quiet.

"The gathering will commence now."

Everyone was here, including Kotil.

The last person they had been waiting for.

Everyone sitting near the two. Those from Raela’s family.

All of them stood up and left.

They didn’t have the qualification to sit here any longer.

Only those who had broken the limit were qualified.

People stood up from all around the room.

They walked to join Kotil and the man.

Neo watched all of this.

Raela tried to pull him away from here.

To find a seat somewhere else.

He only smiled at her, and shook his head.

He walked to the table, and took a seat.
