Chapter 112: 112 | Level Up: 10!

All three ignited their mana at once. Blue, gold, and silver auras flared around them, defensive barriers erupted around them but it barely helped.

The pressure wasn’t magical or physical. This came from something far deeper. Their blood. Their very cells. Every primal instinct, screamed the same command.

’Kneel. Submit before the higher life form. Submit before the sovereign.’

Michael’s teeth ground audibly as he fought the urge. Sweat beaded on his forehead and dripped into his eyes. His muscles bulged with the effort of staying upright. "What... is... this..."

Jasmine’s fingers dug into her palms until blood trickled down. Her beautiful eyes, wide with shock, never left Andrew’s floating form.

Lucy breathed in sharp, ragged gasps. Each inhale felt like lifting a boulder.

Andrew remained unaware of it all.

His consciousness had plunged into a vast and silent ocean. The bloodlines that had once existed as separate rivers within him now flowed together. Primordial Magus. Founding Titan. Blue Dragon God. Thunder Spirit.

The bloodlines didn’t just mix, they became a single entirety.

A single, unified current of power that sang through his meridians like a choir of storms.

Ancient power roared through his body as his muscles condensed, fibers realigning into something denser and stronger than before. His bones transformed, marrow glowing with faint violet light.

His blood shimmered, each drop carrying the echo of thunder. Every strand of mana inside him was purified, stripped of impurities he hadn’t even known existed as it transfused from pure mana into thunder itself.

And his aura kept climbing.

He had been at level 7 for a few days but at this moment, the wall crumbled like dry sand as his experience points started to rise rapidly.

"Boom!"

Level 8!

The energy surge didn’t pause. Instead, it upwards like rocket.

Peak Level Eight.

Michael staggered back another step. "He broke through again?!"

Level 9.

Jasmine’s beautiful eyes widened impossibly further. "That’s impossible..."

One breakthrough was remarkable without grinding in Heaven’s Domain.

Two breakthroughs at once was almost a miracle, but three was beyond comprehension.

Peak Level 9.

And still, Andrew didn’t stop.

Boom!

Another violent shockwave burst from his body. The ground cracked deeper, fissures racing outward like black lightning.

The mana vortex doubled in size, then tripled, pulling energy from hundreds of meters of forest.

The dark clouds above rumbled, not with rain but with something else.

Then, something inside Andrew shattered.

It wasn’t painful. It was like a dam breaking, a cocoon splitting, a door that had always been locked finally swinging open.

Level 10.

The storm quieted. The dark clouds scattered like startled birds. The invisible weight lifted, draining away as suddenly as it had come.

Leaves stopped spiraling and drifted gently down, carpeting the forest floor. Andrew descended slowly, his feet touching the ground with a softness that belied the cataclysm that had just occurred.

He opened his eyes.

For a single heartbeat, a flash of brilliant purple gleamed in his pupils, then it faded, leaving behind the same dark eyes his squad had always known.

Silence settled over everything. The forest held its breath.

Andrew blinked. "...What?"

He looked up. Jasmine, Lucy, and Michael were staring at him as if he had two heads.

Andrew scratched his head. "I... broke through."

Silence stretched.

Jasmine folded her arms. One elegant eyebrow rose slowly. "...That is not how breakthroughs work."

Michael nodded so fast his head might have fallen off. "Exactly! I’ve seen Rank Ups before and people certainly don’t float when breaking through and you didn’t just break through once."

He held up fingers, counting. "Level 7 to 8. 8 to 9. Nine to Ten. Three levels in one go."

Lucy’s voice was soft with worry, cutting through Michael’s rambling. "...Are you feeling alright?"

Andrew looked down at his hands. He stretched his arms, rotated his wrists, clenched his fists.

Unbelievable strength hummed through every part of him, a deep and steady current far greater than before.

His skin felt new and his blood felt alive. Yet his realm felt perfectly stable. There wasn’t a flicker of instability that usually followed after a rushed breakthrough.

He smiled. "I’m fine. I’ve been holding back my breakthrough for a long time. I guess everything happened at once."

The three exchanged looks.

Jasmine’s glance toward Lucy said, ’Do you believe that?’

Lucy’s glance back said, ’Not even a little.’

Michael’s shrug said, ’He’s our friend. Let it go.’

None of them believed him a single bit.

Whatever had just happened, it was far more than an ordinary breakthrough.

Still, no one pressed further. Everyone had secrets. Moreover, Andrew had earned their trust a dozen times over.

Andrew looked at them, his expression shifting. "Sorry. I dragged all of you into this mess."

Michael shook his head immediately, his familiar grin creeping back. "Don’t say that. Our mission was to help you reach Level Ten. We failed. You did it on your own. John is going to laugh at us when he hears." He paused. "Well, after he’s done being angry about Gerald. Then he’ll laugh."

Jasmine’s smile softened, the earlier shock melting into warmth. "No. The only one who failed us was Klen."

Lucy nodded firmly. "He betrayed us all. You saved us. So stop blaming yourself."

Andrew gazed at the three of them.

A warm, quiet smile spread across Andrew’s face.

"Thank you."

The words hung in the air for a moment. Then Michael clapped his hands together. "Alright, enough feelings. We’ve got a Bloodscythe waiting at the exit, now that you’ve broken through, let’s see how he stops you from escaping."

Jasmine’s smile turned dangerous. "I’m looking forward to it."

Lucy said nothing, but the glint in her eyes spoke volumes.

They all started to jog towards the exit of the dimensional zone where Gerald was clearly waiting.

As they were jogging, Andrew’s eyes flashed and he spoke. "System, upgrade Combat shirt to legendary grade!"

[Ding! Would require 4 Investment points to upgrade Bronze Grade Combat suit to legendary grade combat suit. Do you wish to proceed?]
