Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Shadow Rebirth! Shadow Passage!

In the arena.

The longer Colin Whitmore and the other three executives fought, the more alarmed they became.

These Shadow Soldiers were incredibly troublesome to deal with.

Their attributes were ridiculously high.

They felt no pain and showed no fear, even when facing attacks that would seriously injure ordinary professionals.

What was even more terrifying was that Nathaniel stood at the back, watching the entire battle without making a move.

The less he did, the more uncertain the four executives became.

Nobody knew whether he was still hiding other abilities.

"Focus all our attacks on one target first!"

Colin roared.

After all, the four of them were experienced high-level professionals. Once they seriously coordinated their attacks, their teamwork was still formidable.

Victoria immediately placed several weakening marks on one of the Shadow Soldiers.

Mara’s six flying blades simultaneously sliced toward its joints.

Colin seized the opportunity and delivered a powerful punch directly to its head.

BOOM!

The Shadow Soldier’s helmet shattered, followed by its entire body.

It finally crumbled, dissipating into black particles of shadow.

The four executives breathed a slight sigh of relief.

At least they had managed to destroy one.

However, Nathaniel simply raised his hand.

The shadows beneath the destroyed soldier’s position surged.

A new Shadow Soldier emerged.

Its armor was completely intact, and its crimson eyes glowed beneath its helmet.

Colin’s expression froze.

Victoria’s eyelids twitched.

They had spent so much effort concentrating their attacks to destroy one Shadow Soldier.

Yet Nathaniel had simply summoned another.

How were they supposed to fight this way?

But what happened next was even more frightening.

Nathaniel glanced at the remaining nineteen Shadow Soldiers. Their armor was damaged, and several had visible cracks across their bodies.

"Shadow Rebirth."

Darkness spread from Nathaniel’s feet.

A wave of shadow energy swept across the battlefield, enveloping the nineteen damaged Shadow Soldiers.

The cracks disappeared.

Their damaged armor returned to its original condition, and their weakened bodies regained their strength.

Within just a few seconds, all nineteen Shadow Soldiers had completely recovered.

Nathaniel nodded slightly.

The skill’s effectiveness was quite satisfactory.

The entire arena fell silent once again.

Colin and the others stared at the restored Shadow Soldiers, their mental composure nearly collapsing.

"Restoring summoned creatures?"

"He can even heal his summons?"

"Their injuries have completely disappeared!"

"All the damage we inflicted is gone?"

The spectators were becoming numb from the continuous surprises.

They had originally thought that Nathaniel’s ability to summon twenty Shadow Soldiers was already his greatest advantage.

But now they understood something even more troublesome.

If a Shadow Soldier was destroyed, Nathaniel could summon another.

If a Shadow Soldier was injured, he could restore it.

This wasn’t an ordinary battle.

It was a war of attrition that the four executives could barely afford to fight!

Four high-level professionals were being forced into the weaker position against a young man who hadn’t even participated personally.

Colin’s expression became extremely gloomy.

"Gideon!"

Gideon Shaw gritted his teeth.

"Give me some time!"

Colin immediately understood what he meant.

"Hold them off!"

Mara began restraining the Shadow Soldiers with all her strength.

Victoria stopped holding back and consecutively released three large-scale control abilities.

Gideon retreated toward the back and began forming hand seals.

Lines of formation runes spread outward from beneath his feet.

Cyan, black, and silver lights intertwined, rapidly forming a complex formation in the center of the arena.

"Spirit-Trapping Contract-Severing Formation!"

Gideon shouted.

BOOM!

The formation erupted.

All twenty Shadow Soldiers were enveloped within it simultaneously.

Silver chains shot out from the formation, binding the Shadow Soldiers’ limbs.

More importantly, a gray light curtain rose around them, separating the Shadow Soldiers from Nathaniel.

Nathaniel raised an eyebrow.

He immediately sensed that the connection between him and his summons had been affected.

It wasn’t merely weakened.

The formation was forcibly interfering with the connection between the Shadow Soldiers and their master.

Their movements slowed considerably.

Colin and the other executives finally gained an opportunity to catch their breath and quickly retreated.

All four were injured and breathing heavily.

Mara’s face was pale, and two of her six flying blades were broken.

Sweat covered Victoria’s forehead.

Colin’s right arm trembled slightly.

Four powerful professionals had been pushed to this condition by twenty summoned creatures.

Even they found the situation difficult to believe.

Gideon’s face was deathly pale, but he forced himself to speak.

"Young Master Beaumont, it’s over."

"This formation can temporarily restrain your summons and interfere with the connection between you and them."

He looked at Nathaniel confidently.

"Without your Shadow Soldiers, you have no chance of winning."

Colin also spoke in a deep voice.

"Young Master, concede. We don’t want to attack you personally."

Victoria slowly added, "You have already proven your abilities. I believe we can discuss the matter properly again, but today’s contest should end here."

In the spectator hall, many people breathed a sigh of relief, though they couldn’t help feeling disappointed.

"What a pity."

"Nathaniel has already done more than anyone could have expected."

"Who would have believed that one young man could force four powerful professionals into such a miserable state?"

"But he’s still too young."

"He has too few methods. Once his summons are sealed, he’s in danger."

"Even reaching this point is already astonishing."

Caleb Rowan’s face was pale, his fists clenched tightly.

Daniel Mercer was so anxious that he almost jumped out of his seat.

"That’s cheating!"

Uncle George remained silent, his eyes fixed on Nathaniel.

Something about the situation bothered him.

Nathaniel was too calm.

From beginning to end, there hadn’t been even the slightest trace of panic on the young master’s face.

In the arena.

Nathaniel looked at the twenty Shadow Soldiers trapped inside the formation, then shifted his gaze toward Gideon.

"Interfering with the connection and restraining the summons."

He nodded slightly.

"Not a bad formation."

Gideon frowned.

Nathaniel’s reaction was too calm.

Calm enough to make him uneasy.

Colin also sensed something unusual.

"Young Master Beaumont, are you still refusing to concede?"

Nathaniel answered indifferently.

"Who told you your formation had trapped them?"

The next second, he raised his hand.

"Shadow Passage."

The moment Nathaniel activated the skill, his Shadow Energy surged.

A dark opening appeared beneath the trapped Shadow Soldiers.

It wasn’t an ordinary gap in the ground.

It was a passage formed entirely from darkness, connecting the Shadow Soldiers to the shadows outside the formation.

The gray light curtain trembled.

Gideon’s expression changed drastically.

"What is that?!"

Nathaniel didn’t answer.

The Shadow Soldiers stepped into the dark passage.

One after another, their figures disappeared from within the formation.

The next instant, they emerged from the shadows directly behind the gray barrier.

Crack!

The first fracture appeared across the formation’s light curtain.

Gideon’s eyes widened.

"Impossible!"

Crack! Crack! Crack!

More fractures spread across the formation.

The next second.

BOOM!

The entire Spirit-Trapping Contract-Severing Formation collapsed.

All twenty Shadow Soldiers were free.

The black-armored figures charged out from the fading formation and returned to the battlefield.

Gideon spat out a mouthful of blood and staggered backward several steps.

Colin and the other executives were completely stunned.

It had broken?

Just like that?

Gideon had spent an enormous amount of mental energy constructing that formation.

Yet Nathaniel had used a single skill to bypass its restrictions and destroy the entire setup.

What kind of ability was that?

How could this young man keep revealing one ridiculous ability after another?

The spectator hall erupted once again.

"Another reversal!"

"The formation has collapsed!"

"He escaped the spatial restriction!"

The Shadow Soldiers charged back into the battle.

This time, the four executives no longer possessed the composure they had shown earlier.

Colin was surrounded by several Shadow Soldiers and forced to retreat repeatedly.

Mara continuously controlled her remaining flying blades, but could barely protect herself.

Victoria’s support abilities were now being used almost entirely for defense.

Gideon’s formation had collapsed, and the backlash had left him struggling to summon enough concentration to construct another formation of the same level.

The situation had completely reversed.

Mara gritted her teeth.

"We can’t continue like this!"

Her gaze suddenly shifted toward Nathaniel.

"Attack Nathaniel directly!"

"As long as we control him, his summons will naturally stop!"

The moment she said this, the other executives looked toward Nathaniel.

He was still standing in the same position.

There were no Shadow Soldiers directly guarding him.

It seemed to be their only remaining opportunity.

But Colin suddenly shouted.

"No!"
