Rael’s eyes moved past the class window and settled on the bloodline entry. Absolute Sovereign. The name was familiar. Every Blackthorn carried a version of it. The family bloodline acted as a multiplier for attributes and soul growth, one of the main reasons the house stood among the strongest in Solaria. Yet the number beside it stopped him cold. One hundred percent. His father’s had been the highest recorded in recent generations at thirty percent. A full doubling of every form of growth was something no one had ever spoken of, even in private family records.

The description unfolded when he focused on it.

He stared at the list for a long moment. Then his gaze shifted to the Soul option. The window expanded.

Souls are the essence of living beings and a fundamental source of power within the Dream Realm. Whenever Rael kills a living creature, a portion of its soul is absorbed by the system and converted into Soul Energy.

The number of souls obtained depends on the strength and quality of the defeated creature.

Rael was shocked he could get double the amount of souls compared to other. It was like a cheat skill. He can get stronger twice as fast from the others.

Miranda’s voice cut across the clearing before he could dig deeper it was as if she wanted to get this over with as fast as possible. "You have to escape the beginner stage of the Dream Realm and reach the gate. The monsters here range from level one to ten. All ordinary-rank. That is all for now." She rose on her golden wings and vanished into the clouds as quickly as she had arrived.

The daze that had held the group broke. Smiles spread. Voices rose. Excitement was natural. Every person standing in the grass had just received a chance to rewrite their life. Power waited beyond the trees if they survived long enough to claim it. For Rael the feeling ran deeper. Only hours earlier he had not been certain he wanted to keep living. Now the dream he had carried since childhood stood open in front of him. He had a class.

People began clustering into familiar groups. The transfer worked by region. Everyone who had been in the same area of Titan before the night shift arrived together. Most of them already knew one another from the same universities or training halls. Rael recognized none of the faces. That made joining a party harder.

He watched the clearing until he noticed four figures standing a little apart from the larger clusters. Two boys, two girls. They looked less certain than the rest, the kind of students who had never stood at the center of attention back home. Rael decided they were his best chance. He could not escape the beginner stage alone. The old focus returned, steady and cold. Sulking was finished. He would live. He would become powerful again.

He walked toward them. The boy with black hair turned first.

"You need something?"

"Hey," Rael said. "Can I join your party? I don’t know many people here."

Rael has a handsome face with a sharp jawline and fit build. His skin was pale white with dark black hairs and black eyes.

Getting infatuated by his looks one of the girls, Suzy, looked him over and smiled. "Why don’t we let him join?"

The black-haired boy was Nathan. Beside him stood Alex with brown hair. The second girl, Lily, kept a serious expression and said nothing yet. Nathan studied Rael for a moment.

"Why us?"

"You looked more approachable. You know you guys looks like nice people."

Nathan was a easy going guy he could see the honesty when he sees a person. Nathan’s posture eased a fraction. He held out his hand. Rael shook it.

"All right," Nathan said. "But can you tell us your class?"

A soft system prompt appeared at the edge of Rael’s vision.

He selected yes without hesitation. The new information settled into place. He met Nathan’s eyes.

"I’m a fire mage."

Nathan’s eyebrows rose. "Wow. What a surprise. I’m a Firecaller." He gestured to the others. "Alex is a spearman. Lily’s an archer. Suzy’s a priestess."

Rael nodded to each of them in turn. "Hello. Hope I can be of some help."

Suzy stepped a little closer, still smiling. "Come on. You being here is help enough."

Rael gave a short laugh. It was the first time he had seen a priestess act so openly toward a man. Most of them kept careful distance. He filed the detail away and opened the skill list that had come with the copied class.

[A mage-type class that allows the user to manipulate and command flames. Flamecallers can summon fire, shape it into various forms, and gradually increase the intensity of their flames as their mastery grows.]

[Ignites the target with a sudden burst of flames, causing Burning. The flames continue dealing damage for a short duration. Stronger targets can resist or reduce the effect, while repeated applications can intensify the burning.]

Both skills were solid for the beginner stage. He wanted to test them, but not here in front of the group. He would wait until they met the first monsters.

Nathan looked at Rael’s empty hands. "So where’s your wand?"

Everyone else carried equipment in storage rings—the only reliable way to bring objects from Titan into the Dream Realm. Rael felt the sudden weight of how unprepared he was. That morning he had not even known he would transfer. He needed an answer that would not raise questions.

"Oh," he said. "I forgot to bring the ring."
