Chapter 70: A Touch Of Fortune

"Sir Aiden, I feel... like I can try ’minor fortune’ now."

After clearing another cluster of small robots, Luna glanced at the few materials and copper coins scattered across the ground before speaking in a quiet voice.

She could feel it. The team was in good shape, and her mental energy had recovered considerably. More importantly, after fighting alongside Aiden and Silas for so long, she was beginning to understand the rhythm of the dungeon.

Aiden pondered for a moment. He scanned their surroundings. The area ahead was relatively safe, with no immediate signs of approaching monsters.

He nodded. "Okay. Let’s try it once. The goal is to increase our gains from here onward."

Luna took a deep breath, her expression becoming focused.

She reached for the gray-white dice among the three dice she carried. This one represented low-risk positive buffs. Holding it carefully between her fingers, she gently tossed it onto the ground.

The dice spun several times before finally coming to a stop. An arrow pointing upward appeared on its upper face, glowing with a soft white light.

[Heavenly Karmic Dice · Minor Good Fortune] has taken effect!

[The party has temporarily gained the luck stat]

[Party Luck slightly increased for 5 minutes!]

The effect was immediate. The next group of [Scrap Cleaners] they defeated dropped two pieces of Common-tier equipment at once.

Even the drop rate of [Rusted Gears] and [Inferior Machine Oil] increased noticeably.

As they passed through a corridor piled high with abandoned tires, Silas kicked one out of the way.

Clank!

A faint white glow immediately caught their attention. Beneath the tire was a concealed [Common Supply Crate].

Silas blinked. "Well, look at that."

He pulled the crate free and opened it. Inside were three bottles of [Lesser Mana Potion].

Aiden’s eyes lit up slightly. Exactly what he needed. His mana potions had been running lower than he would have liked, and finding three more at this point was extremely convenient.

But that wasn’t the end of it. Just before they reached the area where the dungeon’s first mini-boss, the [Scrap Aggregate], was located, Luna suddenly stopped.

Her eyes shifted toward an inconspicuous electrical box partially buried behind a pile of twisted metal.

"Sir Aiden... over there."

Aiden followed her gaze. At first, he saw nothing unusual. The electrical box was almost completely concealed, and there was no obvious indication that anything was hidden behind it, even the pit Viper’s heat vision he gained could not spot anything unusual.

But Luna’s faint guidance from Minor Good Fortune had drawn her attention to the location.

Aiden stepped forward and examined it carefully. Sure enough, there was a concealed panel behind the box.

It required a bit of engineering to open.

"Interesting." Aiden crouched down and began working on the mechanism. After several precise adjustments, the lock clicked.

The panel opened. Inside was a hidden dungeon reward.

Silas stared at the discovery in disbelief. "Damn... is this really the power of Minor Good Fortune?"

He looked down at the extra Common-tier bracers in his hands, then at the materials and coins scattered around them.

His honest face was filled with shock. He had heard Aiden say that Luna’s class possessed extraordinary potential.

But hearing about it and witnessing its effects firsthand were two completely different things.

Aiden, meanwhile, was equally satisfied. Luna’s value to the team was even greater than he had initially anticipated.

And this was only Minor Good Fortune.If she eventually obtained Major Good Fortune...

Or even higher-level fortune buffs... Aiden’s eyes narrowed slightly.

The possibilities were enormous. Luna noticed the looks on their faces and couldn’t help smiling.

Being useful to the team... Being needed and recognized... That alone filled her with renewed motivation.

With their morale significantly boosted, the three soon arrived before the dungeon’s first gatekeeper.

The Scrap Aggregate. A massive creature stood in the center of the chamber.

Its body was composed of countless pieces of rusted metal, abandoned mechanical parts, twisted cables, broken gears, and fragments of machinery that had somehow fused together.

The entire creature constantly writhed and shifted. Metal scraped against metal with every movement, producing a horrifying grinding sound.

The moment the three entered its territory, the monster let out a metallic roar and the battle began.

"Silas, hold it!"

"Understood!" Silas charged forward and raised the Resolute Tower Shield.

BOOM!

The Scrap Aggregate’s enormous body violently crashed into him. Silas’s feet slid several meters across the ground, but he didn’t fall.

The Boss immediately unleashed Metal Storm. Countless pieces of scrap metal were violently launched from its body, transforming the battlefield into a storm of flying debris.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Silas raised his shield and endured the barrage. Then came Heavy Crush. The massive monster raised one enormous limb and smashed it downward with terrifying force.

BOOM!

Silas’s HP plunged. Several times, his health dropped dangerously close to the critical line.

Yet he continued to stand. The Resolute Tower Shield absorbed attack after attack, while his Unyielding Battle Body allowed him to endure punishment that would have forced an ordinary tank to retreat.

Behind him, Aiden moved. He circled the Boss, carefully observing its movements.

’Now!’

Roots erupted from the ground

’Root Entanglement!’

The vines wrapped around the Scrap Aggregate’s limbs, restricting its movements for a brief moment. That opening was enough.

Aiden raised his hand. ’Fireball!’

A blazing sphere shot forward and slammed directly into one of the Boss’s exposed energy nodes.

BOOM!

Flames erupted across its metallic body. The Scrap Aggregate twisted violently. Aiden didn’t give it time to recover. He closed the distance as explosive energy crackled around his fist.

[Charged Strike]!

BANG!

His fist smashed directly into the Boss’s core controller. A massive damage number appeared.

The Scrap Aggregate staggered backward.

"Keep it busy, Silas!"

"I’ve got it!" Silas roared and slammed his shield into the ground, forcing the Boss’s attention back onto him.

Meanwhile, Luna stayed close behind Aiden. She couldn’t contribute much direct damage, but her role was no less important.

The gray-white dice rolled repeatedly throughout the battle, providing subtle guidance whenever danger approached.

"Sir Aiden, move!" She yelled with a beating heart as she spotted something...

Aiden immediately shifted sideways. A chunk of metal crashed down where he had been standing a moment earlier.

"Silas, behind you!" Aiden voice came out cold as he spotted something with the heat vision he gained from the pit viper...

Silas instinctively raised his shield and a twisted cable whipped toward him and bounced harmlessly off the Resolute Tower Shield.

"There’s another..."

Another warning from Luna kept Silas at alert enabling him to block yet another sneaky attack, she’ve not only saved Aiden but also Silas from some deadly sneaky attacks, with Aiden keeping a watch too with his heart vision the team was cooperating quite well..

Luna’s predictions weren’t powerful enough to change the battlefield outright.

But they reduced mistakes. They gave the entire team a larger margin for error.

And in a difficult battle, that margin could mean the difference between victory and defeat.

The three continued working together. Silas held the front, Aiden exploited every opening and Luna warned them of dangers before they became disasters.

Their coordination, once slightly awkward, had now become increasingly natural.
