Chapter 790: Signed, sealed and delivered?

The dome shimmered faintly, its surface layered with countless inscriptions, each one glowing with a different hue, each one representing a fragment of the borrowed authority the elders now wielded.

Damon’s face changed. He could feel it instantly. He needed to somehow get out of here immediately. Otherwise, things would get out of his control fast. He had a feeling that this confinement was merely the first step. ℯℓ.

He directly unleashed a blood spear on the dome but the barrier did not even budge.

Outside, the elders revealed satisfied expressions. The two dead ones also resurrected and came back to watch the show. Every single one of them looked relieved.

"Good," Old Cao said calmly, watching Damon from outside the dome. "Let him struggle."

"He won’t break it," another added. "That dome isn’t something a B-rank can shatter. Not even close."

"Hmph. The moment he decided to face us, his fate was already sealed."

Damon smiled. Maybe if it was before his fate would have truly been sealed, but now everything was different. Was this seal really all that special? It was time to find out.

Without holding back, he directly walked over to the dome and to everyone’s surprise, lifted his hand and touched it.

"What the heck?" One of the elders couldn’t hold back his shock and shouted.

The dome remained flawless, its countless inscriptions flaring instinctively as they detected the contact. Layers of authority surged, reinforcing the barrier, locking down every possible point of weakness.

Old Cao sneered. "Futile-" Before he could finish his sentence, something felt wrong.

Inside the dome, Damon’s expression was calm. His fingertip rested against the barrier, unmoving, while the thin layer of crimson around it began to change. The next second shockingly, thin streams of energy started flowing out of the barrier.

A small hole formed where he touched the barrier.

Almost immediately countless inscriptions around it flickered violently, trying to stabilize, trying to seal the breach but every time the barrier was repaired another hole formed.

At the same time, another blood spear appeared in Damon’s hand. He did not randomly toss this one onto the barrier. Instead, he held it in his hands, the spear glowing brighter and brighter with each passing second.

It was clear as day what was happening and what Damon was about to do. The ten elders completely lost their cool.

"Meng Futian! Start the teleportation seals now! The barrier will not hold for long. We need to send him to the Kingdom right now. Otherwise, everything will be for naught."

Every single one of the elders’ faces darkened as they hurriedly tried to finish the teleportation array. After decades and decades of planning, after spending huge amounts of resources from their clans, and even after intervention from their God, in the end they were still struggling against one person?

How could they still show their faces to their Lord after this? Wouldn’t this entire debacle become a huge black mark they can never get rid of? They would become the laughing stocks of their whole world!

More importantly, they would have failed in the mission assigned to them personally by their Lord, their God!

Meng Futian’s eyes locked onto Damon through the trembling dome, and without wasting a single second, he raised both hands.

"Understood."

The ground beneath the elders lit up. Ancient runic arrays spread outward in perfect symmetry, interlocking with each other as layers upon layers of teleportation seals activated simultaneously.

However, Damon remained unfazed. He continued gathering more and more energy and weakening the barrier bit by bit. ℯ𝔴ℯ

Soon, a deep, resonating hum spread across the battlefield as the entire array activated fully. The space around Damon twisted violently, ignoring distance, ignoring resistance, ignoring the very concept of stability.

Old Cao roared, pouring everything he had into maintaining the dome for just a moment longer. "Hold it!"

All ten of the elders looked like dried husks as they poured everything into the dome and the teleportation array. All of the seals, inscriptions and the runes trembled, ready to burst into action.

However, right at the time when everything was coming together, Damon flashed his eyes open.

Hong! The spear in his hand roared. He then thrust it forward in a simple motion. The spear casually struck the point where the dome touched the teleportation array.

For a fleeting moment, nothing happened at all, and the battlefield fell into an eerie stillness. Then a blinding light erupted. The elders held their breath for a moment hoping that they had made it in time but the next second, their faces fell.

Everyone hurriedly pulled up a barrier around them as an enormous explosion erupted outward with catastrophic force as the intertwined formations collapsed violently. The barriers the elders hastily raised trembled under the impact as shockwaves tore through space and distorted everything in sight.

Cracks spread across their defenses instantly as the rebounding authority struck them relentlessly without giving even a moment to stabilize. Several elders were thrown back violently while others staggered in place as blood spilled from their mouths under immense backlash.

At the center of it all Damon stood unmoving as the storm of destruction raged around him without leaving even a mark.

The violent storm slowly subsided as the shattered remains of the dome and array dissolved into fragments of fading light. The battlefield was no longer stable as space itself warped and trembled from the residual clash of conflicting authorities.

The elders struggled to regain their footing while their auras flickered weakly, their earlier confidence completely shattered by the backlash. Their carefully constructed plan had not only failed but had turned against them in the worst possible way imaginable.

At the epicenter of the devastation Damon stood calmly. He slowly lifted his gaze and looked at them one by one, his expression no longer amused but cold and decisive. He needed to end this all right here and now.

"Blood Reign, come out and take care of them." An evil smile appeared on his face. "I might not know how to completely destroy your soul but my girl here knows a thing or two about it."
