SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God

Chapter 786: Only made everything worse

The elven prince roared. His remaining orbs surged forward in a desperate attempt to intercept, compressing into a blazing wall of energy that burned brighter than anything he had shown before.

The monk on the other side ended up completely crushing his rosary. However, it was too late.

As soon as the blood essence seeped out of the creature, there was no controlling it or stopping it. The blood essence directly shot towards Damon and entered his body.

Meanwhile, Damon had already activated his teleportation tattoo, which would directly take him back to the game world. He had three other backup teleportation options if this did not work, but it looked like they wouldn’t be needed today.

The tattoo on his hand worked just fine, and the world around him started changing rapidly. A few last-minute attacks came for him, but they were nothing his barrier couldn’t handle. Considering the weakened state of his enemies, he was easily able to get away unscathed.

In the blink of an eye, Damon felt the familiar uncomfortable feeling that accompanied the teleportation spell, and the next instant, he was back at the dreadwastes of the wilderness. Before he could recover from this shock, his legs buckled, and he stumbled and fell forward, silver runes completely taking over.

ARGGGGGHHHH!

Damon let out an agonizing howl as pain wrecked his body. However, following that howl of pain were howls of maniacal laughter. He had done it! He had actually fucking done it! He had fucking done the impossible! That too right under the noses of those powerful assholes!

The bloodline was in his body!

Ha ha ha!

Damon’s laughter awoke every single creature in the wilderness. This was the place that was hailed as the most dangerous spot in the entire game world, a place even B ranks did not enter lightly and yet someone today dared to laugh here like this?

The entire world woke up and paid attention to this matter.

But Damon did not care. He was not in a state to care either. He might have the bloodline but his body was wrecked from top to bottom. He was too weak to even see the several system notifications that flashed in front of him.

Death was coming and very soon that too.

He had gambled a lot in these past few days but this was the biggest gamble of it all.

Damon sucked in a breath of air as he looked at his rotting body. He couldn’t help but wonder if this was going to change anything. He was using a skill and he shouldn’t technically lose his bloodline or anything like that but what about the other aspects of his body.

He had trained this body and tempered it inch by inch painstakingly. He had slowly accumulated several rounds of cleansing and tempering. Not to mention his primordial mana core that was now morphing into something along with his dao core. It would be a huge setback to lose all of this progress.

There was also his Nine Million Poison Body. He would probably lose the progress on that as well. Damon sighed. Indeed it was a big loss.

However, he did not regret it. His bloodline was still the core of his power. If he never tried to grasp for more then he would stagnate right here. If he had to do it all over again, he wouldn’t do it any differently. Now the only question was...

Was there any way to salvage this body of his? Could he really not fight against this poison?

Even as he was thinking about it, he could already feel the snake lady rolling her eyes. Sure, he was only able to come so far and still survive by a thread because of her involvement. He wasn’t questioning that. He only wanted to know if there was any chance at all he could bring this all the way back and make it a home run.

He was a truly greedy bastard after all.

Damon weakly smiled as his poisoned exhausted mind weakly tried to think of something. Perhaps all the small small bloodline fragments he had collected in soul space might have some answer for him? Perhaps one of those insignificant unawakened bloodlines might still be able to save his body?

However, Damon did not dare do this recklessly. The answer might be there but... Could he even handle more of the bloodline at this state? What if he lost his mind and became corrupted? This was a very real problem. For this, he would rather lose his body and build it all over again. If he lost his mind, then it was game over.

Not that there was any point in thinking about any of it now. He was already at the end of the line. It was time to die and be reborn again. For the second time...

As Damon was about to close his eyes and give up the futile struggle to die in peace, all of a sudden a voice boomed in his ear.

"You miserable fool! Did you think that you could hide from us forever? What? Were you planning to ascend and slaughter us all?" An old grumpy voice sounded.

Damon weakly opened his eyes to look at the old man standing in front of him. "You are that fossil?" He mumbled something in his inebriated state.

The old man’s face twitched. "Yes," he said coldly, his killing intent spilling into the air. "That would be me and I am here to personally thank you for waking me up this early from my slumber." He laughed arrogantly. "What? Are you stupified? You didn’t expect this did you?"

The old man examined him from top to bottom and laughed again. "Did you foolishly try some forbidden method to breakthrough? Did you really think you were going to come out of this alive? Ha ha ha ha."

Damon’s eyes widened.

"You fool. Your breakthrough only made everything worse. Now there is nothing holding me back. Don’t you see? Since you became a B rank, I don’t have to be restrained anymore. Now I can enter the system’s tutorial and live in the real world. I can do as I please. Ha ha ha! I am already back to my former glory! There is no law binding me anymore! Ha ha ha!"

"Gerdat! You old fart! Stop laughing like an idiot and finish the job soon!" Another old voice sounded.

Damon turned to see another old man appear. Then came one more and one more. In the blink of an eye, he was surrounded by ten old men. More importantly, each and every single one of them was B rank, emitting a terrifyingly powerful aura.

"The ten family heads of the hidden families, huh..." Damon bitterly smiled. "Perfect timing."
