=================================
The more Declan went through the Common Grade Mechs, the more speechless he became.
There were about a dozen Common Grade Mechs still available, but these three alone had taken his breath away.
A Mach speed of 3.0 in less than five seconds?
That was breaking the sound barrier three times within a five-second time frame!
A spear with a temperature of 2,000 degrees Celsius?
Not even a peak Heartian Nexian would survive being slashed by that.
Declan had 300 stat points in Endurance, and one could say he was about 15 times more durable than a regular human, bringing his temperature resistance to around 800 degrees for a few seconds.
If he were slashed by a spear tip with a temperature of 2,000 degrees Celsius, there was no way he would survive without suffering serious injuries.
And these were the specifications of just one of the Common Grade Mechs owned by the system.
Then what could one say about the higher grades?
His curiosity got the better of him, and he scrolled toward the bottom, hoping to find a higher grade, only to stop when he came across a note that genuinely surprised him.
[RARE GRADES]
[NOTICE: The Host Must Buy At Least 1 Common Grade Mech to Gain Access to Rare Grade Mechs!]
[ULTRA GRADES]
[NOTICE: The Host Must Buy At Least 2 Rare Grade Mechs to Gain Access to Ultra Grade Mechs!]
[LEGENDARY GRADES]
[Unlock Requirement: Unknown]
[??? GRADE]
[Note: The Ultimate Level of Mecha Grade]
[Unlock Requirement: Unknown!]
"It’s not just the Common Grade. There are more: Rare, Ultra, Legendary, and one last unknown grade," Declan mused, exhaling softly.
The system was gatekeeping the information on the Mechs, requiring him to purchase them before he could gain access to more details.
However, when he looked at the prices of even the Common Grades, the cheapest one was 500,000 Purchase Points.
He had only received 100,000 Purchase Points, which wasn’t even enough to buy the cheapest Common Grade.
And speaking of Purchase Points, he had been rewarded 100,000 Purchase Points for completing his Impossible-level mission of fighting Dorimunga.
Safe to say, if he wanted to earn more Purchase Points, he would have to complete incredibly difficult missions.
"Buying a Mech directly from the system is beyond me right now," he concluded.
"But at least it’s clear now that power, true power beyond even my imagination, is possible with the system."
"All I need to do is work harder, complete more difficult missions, and I’ll have it. The potential is limitless..." he mused quietly.
Now, he felt even more excited than ever, with one question occupying his mind.
’Just where does the peak of the system’s power lie?’
He couldn’t wait to find out.
With the Mechs Tab resolved, he moved to the more important tab for his current situation: the Mecha Materials Tab.
In this tab, Declan began to see the solution to his current obstacle.

[System Reminder]
[Raw materials are only the beginning. Combining them correctly determines the strength, speed, and efficiency of your Mech, and their potential multiplies from a correct configuration.]
================
"This is it. This is exactly what I need!"
This was where he could find the raw materials for his Mechs, and the list seemed endless.
There was a search button, and he found every single material he had listed right there in the system’s shop.
What was more, every item in the system shop surpassed the quality and durability of normal Mech retail materials in Mordran.
The advantage this would give him was obvious. His Mechs would be more durable than any Mech Mordran had ever seen.
The sight of it made his heart pound, but he quickly refocused.
Since he had found what he wanted, he didn’t bother checking the other Shop Tabs and instead headed straight to the purchasing section.
He bought as many materials as he could before a notification flashed.
[Purchase Points: 0]
He had exhausted his points, but when Declan looked at the materials he had acquired, he smiled.
He had already listed the materials on his monitor, and as he purchased each one, he marked it off the list.
For the three Mechs he planned to build, he had listed 15 materials for the Ember Buster, 12 materials for the Blade Core Humanoid, and 8 materials for the Cloaking Phantom Mech.
He had been able to purchase all 15 materials for the Ember Buster and all 12 materials for the Blade Core Humanoid.
As for the Cloaking Phantom Mech, he managed to get three of its materials before his Purchase Points ran out.
’When I get some more points, I’ll buy the rest, but for now... I’ve got all I need.’
With the materials obtained, Phase 3 of his plan was officially complete.
He could now begin Phase 4: Creating the Mech.
The biggest advantage he had was that he didn’t need to start welding and doing all of that manually.
No.
He had what he needed: Mecha Forge. He was about to begin the creation when the panel suddenly flashed.
[You want to blow everything up!?]
The system panel flashed, and Declan’s hand halted.
"Why?" he asked.
[The last time you created those Photon Blasters, you remember how draining it was on your energy, right?]
It asked, and he nodded.
He had almost been knocked out from exhaustion.
[Good.]
[Now compare that to trying to create a 10-meter-tall Mech, and remember that you’re asking the skill to create the metal structure from the ground up, do the wiring, form the templates, and perform the AI remodulation.]
[While Mecha Forge might indeed be able to do that, you still can’t properly visualize everything you want to create.]
[Your energy will definitely run out before that happens.]
[And do you know what will happen when your energy runs out in the middle of creating the Mech?]
It asked, and Declan’s heart unconsciously sank.
"What happens?"
[The skill stops working, and your Mech goes... KABOOOOOOOOOM!]
[That explosion will blow this entire building to dust, and you can say goodbye to your 100,000 Purchase Points worth of materials too...if you manage to survive the explosion, that is.]
"WHAT!?"
Blow up his 100,000 Purchase Points’ worth of materials?
He was sure he would die of regret right afterward, but Declan also understood the system’s point.
It could be summarized in one thing.
"I need to create some individual parts myself."
"In the case of the Ember Buster, I can create each of the six arms and the structural frame of the body using short bursts of Mecha Forge here and there before finally bringing everything together with one final use of the skill."
"That way, the energy required to create the full Mech will be lower, and I can rest and recover between each piece’s creation," he concluded.
The panel flashed.
[Your Intelligence stats are being put to good use.]
"Hehehe, thank you."
Although the process of constructing each piece would take longer than if he simply created everything at once, it also gave him the freedom to customize and improvise whenever he wanted.
Still, it wasn’t a job he could rush, nor was it something he could do in his living room with his gadgets scattered around:
He needed a lab.
