He also noticed that his follower count had reached fifty thousand. Just a day ago, he had barely had a hundred followers, so the sudden increase was almost ridiculous.

A large number of new messages were also asking him to teach people how to use magic, and they would pay him in Origin Coins as per his post. Alex considered it for a while before deciding that making his first instructional video free would be a good way to build his reputation.

He set up the camera and recorded a short demonstration showing how mana could be compressed into small projectiles. He then demonstrated how to create elastic mana and use it to launch those projectiles, explaining the basic principles while keeping the demonstration simple.

These were spells that most Mages would eventually learn as they continued progressing, so teaching them early wouldn’t take away much from Alex. If anything, helping other Mages understand these concepts sooner would make them more likely to trust him.

Alex deliberately avoided teaching the Body Reinforcement Spell. It was considerably more complicated because Mages needed to adjust the mana flowing through individual muscles, and making a mistake could easily result in serious injuries.

If someone injured themselves after learning the technique from him, there was a good chance they would blame Alex for it. Compared to that, teaching Mana projectiles was much safer while still giving people something useful.

After finishing the recording, Alex uploaded the video and waited. The comments began appearing almost immediately, with many people praising him for sharing useful information without asking for payment.

[I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while now with no hopes, and Alex explained it in a few minutes. This is exactly what I needed right now. Thank you, Alex!]

[Please keep making these videos. There are plenty of people who have choose Mage Class but have no idea how they’re supposed to train.]

Alex read the comments before closing the page and starting another post. This time, he wrote about High Rank species, how Origin Energy could be separated into Mana, Aura, and Faith, and how there were many branches of magic beyond the elemental magic most people were familiar with.

He didn’t go into too much detail because he still wanted to keep some information to himself. After finishing the post, he scheduled it to be published the next day before putting his phone away and stretching his body.

A knock came from the door before he could do anything else. Alex walked over and opened it, finding Kevin, Robert, Sia, and Ben standing outside, all of whom were members of his faction except Sia, whom he had promised to add once he obtained another faction slot.

Ben was also the security guard who had helped Alex obtain the Mana Fruit earlier. They must’ve known he had returned after seeing his posts online. Alex stepped aside to let them enter.

“Come inside,” Alex said.

Robert had brought some food with him, and Alex scratched his head when he saw it. He had just eaten in the Land of Origin before returning, which made him feel mentally full, but he quickly told himself that this body was separate from his other one and still needed to be fed.

Alex sat down and began eating while making some small talk with them. He noticed that everyone seemed somewhat tense around him, probably because they knew about his mother’s news, so he decided to change the subject.

“Are the others asleep?” Alex asked.

“Yes. Other than the people on night watch and those currently in the Land of Origin, everyone else is asleep,” Robert answered.

Alex nodded before continuing with his next question.

“So tell me about the situation. Start with the monsters around the base and the rescue operations, then tell me everything important that’s happening in the other difficulties.”

Robert nodded and began explaining. The monsters appearing around the base had been getting stronger, and they believed this was related to the increasing amount of Origin Energy on Earth.

As more Origin Energy appeared, the portal above the high school became stronger as well, which seemed to weaken the surrounding space. Because of that, more temporary portals were beginning to appear in different places, allowing monsters to enter areas that had previously been relatively safe.

There had also been a major monster raid a few hours earlier. All of the Pioneers had been in the Land of Origin at the time, so the Ascendants on Earth had been forced to defend the base themselves, and they had barely managed to repel the attack.

The rescue operations were going smoothly overall, but the number of survivors being found was still disappointing. Many areas had already been overrun by monsters, and the longer they waited, the fewer people they were able to find alive. In fact, if Alex had not saved the high school, and not led to the organization of rescue squads, more than 20% rescued people in the high school would not be alive.

After explaining the situation around the base, Robert turned toward Ben. “As for the other difficulties, let’s start with Easy Difficulty. I think Ben can explain it better since he has firsthand experience there.”

Ben nodded and looked toward Alex. His expression became slightly serious as he began explaining what had happened.

“It’s hell there. The situation has become much worse than we expected,” Ben said.

Alex frowned slightly. “What do you mean?”

“A few Pioneers revealed that they had obtained powerful Talents or Physiques. The local forces immediately started looking for them, and some of those groups looked like ordinary gangs while others appeared to be officials who controlled the surrounding areas,” Ben explained.

He continued. “They either forcefully took those people or offered them benefits to convince them to join. We also don’t have any Mid Rank species around our area, and there aren’t even many Low Rank species above Level 10, so the stronger people will have to travel very far if they want to continue growing.”

“How far?” Alex asked.

“Far enough that the journey will take several days. We will also need to prepare food and supplies before leaving, so it’s not something they can do casually,” Ben replied.

Alex nodded as he thought about the situation. The lack of stronger monsters would naturally slow everyone’s growth, but what concerned him more was how quickly the local forces had reacted after discovering people with powerful Talents and Physiques.

For once, Alex realized that being summoned away from civilization had actually been fortunate. If he had encountered one of those forces and they got news of his SSS Rank Talent and SSS Rank Physique, they would probably have done everything possible to obtain him.

It was also fortunate that he hadn’t chosen meeting a powerful Mage as a reward for completing the Additional Class Evolution Requirements. If someone discovered that he possessed an SSS Rank Talent and Physique while also being a Mage, the attention he attracted would probably be even worse.

“I see. Is there anything else?” Alex asked.

“Yes, there is,” Ben replied, his expression becoming more serious. “A lot of problems appeared after the night arrived. What happened was…”
