Alex looked at Mia for several seconds before finally nodding. "Alright, I will try to copy it, but you will have to teach me how to do it."

Mia simply stared at him before taking another deep breath, as though she expected him to understand the technique by watching her. Alex tried to focus on the flow of Origin Energy around her, but without knowing exactly what she was doing, there was very little he could imitate.

Matthew watched the exchange with an amused expression. "Mia wants to teach you that breathing blessing, doesn’t she? Do you think something like that can actually work for you? She seems like a Priest, not a Mage."

"It might work Some fundamental abilities are probably the same for all Classes, even if the way we use them is different. For example, I can teach someone from the Warrior Class certain techniques depending on what my spells allow me to understand," Alex replied after thinking about it.

Matthew raised an eyebrow. "I didn’t know you could do that."

Alex nodded before adding, "I can teach your team the Piercing Punch technique later if you want. It should be useful for Daniel."

"Sure, why not?" Matthew agreed before looking toward Samuel. "Anyway, since Mia wants to teach you this breathing ability, Samuel can connect your mind with hers. That way, she can show you exactly what she’s doing instead of making you guess."

Alex looked toward Samuel. "Won’t he also be able to hear the method if he connects our minds?"

Matthew nodded with a chuckle, and Alex thought about it for a moment before shrugging. "Then alright. He can connect our minds."

Alex didn’t really mind if Samuel learned the method as well. Their two groups were likely going to work together for the foreseeable future, and there was no reason to hide useful knowledge from each other if they wanted to build trust and improve their chances of surviving in this world.

Samuel frowned as he stepped forward, although he didn’t object to Matthew’s decision.

"I will need to touch both of you to establish the connection." He walked toward Mia and reached out his hand, but the moment his fingers got close, Mia lowered her ears and let out a threatening hiss.

Her body tensed immediately, making it obvious that she would attack him if he tried to touch her. Samuel stopped and looked toward Alex with an expression that clearly asked for help.

"Give her some meat from your Inventory first," Alex said. Alex already knew there were three types of people Mia tended to like: people who fed her, children, and people she considered good-looking.

Samuel was neither a child nor apparently handsome enough in Mia’s eyes, so Alex would have to teach him how to gain her trust.

Samuel frowned and replied, "I only have meat from the High Rank Lightning Grim Ape."

Alex understood what he meant immediately. Samuel wasn’t willing to waste such valuable meat on feeding Mia.

"I have some meat from a Mid Rank species. You can give Mia this," Emma suddenly said. She took several pieces from her Inventory and handed them to Samuel.

Alex stared at her with a strange expression as he watched this happen. Emma had spent so much time insisting that everyone preserve as much High Rank Basilisk meat as possible because it was extremely valuable, yet she had somehow managed to make room for another type of monster meat.

He couldn’t help wondering if Emma was simply a glutton who wanted to taste every unusual type of meat she could find. If Alex didn’t know her better, he would have assumed she was participating in some kind of survival show where the objective was to eat as many exotic monsters as possible.

Samuel crouched down and offered the meat to Mia. She sniffed it for a moment before eating it, and her tense expression gradually disappeared as she began purring contentedly.

Only then did Samuel slowly reach out and touch her. Instead of immediately using his blessing, he started scratching Mia behind her ears, and although his expression remained as serious as ever, it was obvious that he had wanted to do this from the beginning.

Mia purred even louder and leaned against his hand. Several seconds passed before Matthew suddenly burst into a chuckle, quickly covering his mouth when Samuel looked up and glanced around at everyone.

Everyone was smiling, and it took Samuel another moment to realize what had happened. He had completely forgotten about his actual task and had been standing there scratching Mia happily.

Samuel coughed awkwardly and pulled his hand away. "I will now use my blessing."

The moment he began activating his blessing, Mia instantly became vigilant and jumped backward, lowering her body into an attacking stance while hissing at him.

Samuel was clearly surprised by the reaction, but he quickly prepared himself to defend against an attack. Before either of them could make a move, Alex and Matthew stepped between them.

"What happened?" Alex asked while looking at Samuel.

Samuel frowned as he kept his eyes on Mia and replied, "I don’t know. She suddenly reacted like that when I started using my blessing."

Mia continued hissing behind Alex, refusing to relax.

Matthew studied her for a moment before saying, "Maybe she doesn’t like someone else’s energy entering her body. Samuel’s blessing needs to send a significant amount of Faith into another person’s body to establish the connection, so it could potentially harm them if he wanted it to. Of course, he is not going to do that, especially when attacking Mia in an area surrounded by Netherclaw Prowlers would be incredibly stupid."

Matthew glanced at the creatures around them before continuing, "Still, she probably senses that Samuel’s Faith is entering her body and instinctively considers it a threat."

Alex frowned as he considered his words. He looked at Mia before turning toward Matthew and asking, "Why didn’t you tell us beforehand that something like this could happen?"

Matthew shrugged. "I thought you would have come to that realization yourself. You seem smart enough to figure it out."

Alex stared at him for several seconds. His expression gradually became colder as the mana inside his body suddenly began to rumble, and several Mana Bullets appeared around him, hovering silently in the air as they pointed toward Matthew.

Everyone except Matthew immediately became alert. Daniel reacted first by raising his enormous sword, while Samuel moved into a defensive stance, and at nearly the same moment, Alex’s companions raised their weapons toward Matthew and the rest of his group.

The atmosphere changed instantly. Sarah and Emma hesitated as they looked between the two groups, clearly unwilling to start a fight, while Joseph and Yulia looked ready to attack if Matthew’s side show any sign of making a move.

Alex stepped forward until he was standing directly in front of Matthew and stared into his eyes.

"Don’t play stupid games with me, Matthew. All of us are putting our lives at risk here, so if you’re doing something dangerous, tell us beforehand. Otherwise, I will have to take my own measures," Alex said coldly.
