SSS Awakening: Conquering Worlds with My Cupid System

Chapter 282: Purchasing a New Car and Setting up a Guild

  • Next Chapter

Silas woke up the next day feeling like Merlin. He felt like he could do anything, and he was right to feel that way. Ever since he awakened and received his inheritance, his wealth had been climbing steadily.

Even without working, just the investments and shares he held in companies earned him thousands in weeks. Plus, his advertisement for AAG had gone so viral that the company was pulling in millions in weeks, automatically earning him more.

It would be long before another person overthrew his record as the youngest known billionaire.

The night before, after another intense session that left Silas wondering if he would be able to take more women, as was his curse as Cupid’s descendant, Echidna and Gromda suggested that he create a guild.

This idea came from the countless games they purchased and played in Silas’s gaming room. He was confused initially and almost refused... politely, but after they explained, he realized something.

The world’s richest man was still working. Money wasn’t enough. It could disappear in the blink of an eye. If it weren’t for his inheritance, his only source of income would’ve been AAG, and later, a guild, that’s if he ever joined one.

But creating a guild would be something of his own. If everything flips, he would still have it.

Chloe also suggested he buy a new car, something much more current. Should he go for private expeditions in rifts or any such thing, he could take that car. The current cars of the world weren’t much different from the earlier 2020s to 2028s in appearance. But their method of manufacturing and the materials used in making them were much more efficient and ability-oriented.

After filling all the girls up with his seeds, he went to the balcony to reflect. He checked his current stats, realizing his power and the new additions to his abilities, but the most important things on his mind were the suggestions of his women.

This brings us to this morning, when he’s smiling as if he’d won a jackpot. Picking up his phone, he contacted Attorney Marcus.

***

Marcus had just woken up groggily after a similar intense night with his girlfriend. To say he was oversucked would be an understatement. Marcus was on the verge of calling for a day or two off.

He had just gotten a cup of coffee when his phone started ringing.

[Rihanna: Diamonds]

"Hmm... who would call at his hou- Ashard?!"

He almost threw the phone away after seeing the contact details. It was Silas calling. He hurriedly answered it.

"Hello, Mr. Ashard. Good morning. To what do I owe this early call?"

[Good morning, Bossman. I called to request another of my estates, and also to ask for your assistance if you aren’t too busy to discuss some important matters. In person.]

"Give me about an hour. I will prepare and come over. If that wouldn’t be an inconvenience to you."

[Not at all. It’s best you even come over.]

"It’s settled then. I will be at the estate in an hour."

[Thank you. I will be waiting. Goodbye.]

"Goodbye."

"What is he on about this time? Lemme prepare... hopefully, Gladys won’t devour my little guy again, or I’m cooked."

***

Marcus arrived at the estate almost exactly an hour later. Silas had been expecting him. He was already waiting in one of the estate’s private offices, sitting behind a large desk with several documents spread across it. A cup of tea sat beside his hand, untouched.

When Marcus entered, Silas looked up.

"Bossman."

Marcus stopped. "I have told you several times not to call me that."

"Yet you keep answering."

"Because you are my most profitable client."

Silas grinned.

"See? Bossman."

Marcus sighed. He looked exhausted. Silas stared at him for a moment and commented.

"You look terrible."

Marcus slowly lowered himself into the chair opposite him.

"I had a long night."

"Work?"

"Something like that."

Silas’s smile became suspiciously knowing.

"Ah."

"Don’t."

"I didn’t say anything."

"Your face did." Silas laughed. "Alright. Let’s get to business."

Marcus straightened.

"Good. What exactly do you need?"

Silas leaned back.

"I want another estate."

Marcus blinked.

"Another estate?"

"Yes."

"Where?"

"City A."

Marcus’s expression changed slightly.

"City A is enormous. What part?"

"Remote."

"How remote?"

"I don’t want neighbors."

Marcus stared at him while Silas continued.

"I don’t want another mansion surrounded by other wealthy people’s mansions. I want land. A lot of it."

"How much?"

"Enough."

"That isn’t a measurement."

Silas thought for a moment.

"Several hundred acres."

Marcus slowly pulled out his tablet.

"Purpose?"

"Guild."

His fingers stopped.

"A guild?"

Silas nodded.

"I’ve been thinking about it."

Marcus studied him.

"You want to establish your own guild?"

"Yes."

"Are you planning to register it immediately?"

"Eventually." Silas leaned forward. "But I don’t want the estate to just be a headquarters."

"What else?"

"Training grounds, storage, workshops, medical facilities, and a private rift entrance if I can get the necessary permits."

Marcus’s eyebrows rose.

"A rift entrance?"

"If possible."

"You realize that acquiring private access to a rift is not exactly something you buy with pocket change."

"I have pocket change."

Marcus sighed.

"Of course you do."

Silas smiled. "I also want enough space for future members. If this thing grows, I don’t want to rebuild everything."

Marcus began typing.

"So you want a large property in a remote area of City A with room for a guild headquarters, training grounds, storage facilities, and potentially a dungeon access point."

"Exactly."

"Any environmental preference?"

Silas thought about it.

"Somewhere with mountains nearby would be nice."

"Why?"

"It looks cool."

Marcus stared at him.

"That’s your reason?"

"Yes."

"Wonderful." He continued typing. "Do you have a budget?"

Silas’s smile widened.

"Do I look like I have a budget?"

Marcus looked at him.

"No."

"Good."

Marcus shook his head.

"I’ll have my people search for suitable properties. But there will be zoning restrictions, awakening regulations, security permits, and potentially environmental assessments."

"Handle all of it."

"Naturally."

Silas leaned back.

"Make sure the place is private."

"Understood."

"And secure."

"Obviously."

"And don’t put it somewhere so remote that getting supplies becomes a nightmare."

Marcus nodded.

"So remote, but accessible."

"Exactly."

Marcus finished his notes.

"I’ll begin the acquisition process immediately."

Silas smiled.

"Perfect. And by the way, this isn’t part of my three estates. I’m purchasing this one."

"Of course."

Marcus closed the tablet.

"Now, what was the other matter?"

Silas’s eyes lit up at the sound of that, causing Marcus to immediately become suspicious.

"What?"

"I want a car."

"A car?"

"A new one."

"You already have several."

"I know."

"Then why?"

Silas pulled out his phone and showed Marcus several images.

"I want something newer."

Marcus examined the vehicles.

"They’re expensive."

"I know."

"These are expedition-class awakened vehicles."

"Exactly."

"They aren’t really luxury cars."

"That’s the point." Silas leaned forward. "I want something I can take into dangerous areas."

Marcus looked at him.

"You’re talking about private rift expeditions."

"Among other things."

"You want a vehicle capable of handling abnormal terrain, ability-based attacks, mana interference, and high-level monster encounters."

Silas nodded. "And preferably something that doesn’t look like a military truck." ⅇℓ.

Marcus stared at the screen again.

"That narrows it down considerably."

Silas grinned.

"That’s why I called you."

Marcus pulled out his phone.

"Alright. I know someone."

He made a call.

"Good morning. This is Attorney Marcus."

Silas raised an eyebrow.

Marcus continued.

"I’m calling on behalf of Silas Ashard."

There was a pause. The person’s voice on the other end became noticeably more alert.

"Yes. Mr. Ashard is interested in purchasing a new expedition-capable vehicle."

Marcus glanced at Silas.

"He wants your latest models."

Silas mouthed, "Top of the line."

Marcus nodded.

"He wants your top-of-the-line model."

The response came immediately, causing Marcus to smile.

"Yes. I thought that might get your attention."

Silas chuckled.

Marcus continued.

"Send me your current catalogue. I want specifications, defensive ratings, mana capacity, terrain performance, storage capacity, repair systems, and any ability-compatible features."

He paused.

"And yes, price."

Silas pointed at him.

"Tell them I don’t care about the price."

Marcus covered the phone.

"Do you really want me to say that?"

"Yes."

Marcus sighed.

"Mr. Ashard says price isn’t a concern."

There was another pause. Marcus’s expression became amused.

"Yes. He is serious."

Silas leaned back.

"Put it on my account."

Marcus nodded.

"He’ll pay upfront."

Silas raised a finger.

"Actually..."

Marcus looked at him.

"Add customization."

"Of course."

Silas began counting on his fingers.

"Reinforced exterior. High-speed mode. Mana shielding. Monster detection. Ability interference resistance. Emergency teleportation if something goes horribly wrong."

Marcus started writing.

"Anything else?"

"Large storage."

"How large?"

"Very."

Marcus looked at him.

"Silas."

"What?"

"A vehicle does not need a warehouse inside it."

"It does if I’m going on expeditions."

Marcus rubbed his forehead.

"Fine."

Silas thought again.

"Oh, and make it comfortable."

Marcus stared at him.

"Comfortable?"

"Yes."

"You just requested a vehicle capable of surviving a rift."

"And?"

"You also want luxury."

"Obviously."

Marcus slowly nodded.

"Right."

He returned to the call.

"Add a luxury interior."

Silas smiled.

"Now we’re talking."

The call ended several minutes later. Marcus placed his phone on the desk.

"The dealer is sending someone over with their private catalogue and several vehicle options."

"Good."

"They’re apparently very interested in handling the purchase personally."

"I wonder why."

Marcus gave him a flat look.

"Perhaps because the youngest known billionaire in the country just requested their most expensive vehicle."

Silas shrugged. "Could be."

Marcus gathered his documents.

"I’ll also begin the guild property search today."

Silas nodded.

"Thank you."

Marcus stood- then paused.

"There’s one more thing."

"Hmm?"

"If you’re establishing a guild, you’ll need a name."

Silas froze.

"Oh."

Marcus smiled.

"You’ve thought about everything except that."

Silas leaned back, his fingers tapping against the desk. A guild, his own guild- not something inherited or handed to him, but something he could build from the ground up. Something that would belong to him regardless of what happened to his wealth, his inheritance, or the companies attached to his name.

A small smile appeared on his face.

"I’ll think about it."

Marcus nodded.

"Good."

He headed for the door, but Silas called after him.

"Bossman."

Marcus stopped.

"Please don’t."

Silas grinned.

"Get me a nice piece of land."

Marcus sighed.

"I’ll try."

"And the car."

"Yes."

"And make sure the guild registration doesn’t become a nightmare."

"I’ll handle it."

Silas leaned back into his chair.

"You’re the best."

Marcus opened the door.

"I know."

He stepped out, leaving Silas alone. For a moment, he just stared at the documents. Then his smile slowly widened.

"This could actually be fun."

A faint pink glow appeared in his eyes. Then, almost immediately, another thought entered his mind. He needed a name.

Silas frowned.

"That’s going to be harder than killing an SS-Rank monster."

He leaned back.

"Whatever."

There was plenty of time.
