SS Awakening: My Monster Merging System!
Chapter 333: A Greedy Zich: Hoarding Treasures
Zich quickly approached the first row of wooden shelves.
Neatly arranged upon them were rows of glass potion bottles.
Although the bottles were covered in dust, their seals remained remarkably intact.
The blue liquid inside slowly flowed beneath the surrounding ghostly green firelight, looking remarkably similar to the mana potions they had previously discovered on the goblin hunting party.
He casually picked up one bottle.
[Ding!]
[Name: Low Grade Mana Recovery Potion]
Upon seeing the name, a smile appeared on Zich’s face.
Just as he had thought, these goblins really had piled up quite a few valuable things here!
"Not bad! Not bad at all!"
Without the slightest hesitation, he directly stored the entire crate of mana potions in his spatial bag before quickly turning toward the second row of shelves.
There were also quite a few potions arranged there, although their colors varied.
Some were pale red, others light green, and a few even emitted a faint golden glow.
Although Zich didn’t know the exact effects of these potions, he clearly didn’t have time to identify them one by one.
Since that was the case, he would simply take everything first!
Buzz!
As the light of his spatial bag flashed repeatedly, rows of potions rapidly disappeared from the shelves.
The wooden racks, which had previously been packed full, were emptied across a large section in the blink of an eye.
Immediately afterward, Zich’s attention shifted toward a small wooden chest in the corner.
The chest was rather inconspicuous, and its surface was even covered in a thick layer of dust.
However, unlike the miscellaneous items carelessly piled around it, its lid had been firmly secured.
Clearly, whatever was stored inside was not ordinary.
"Hmm?" Zich quickly walked over and lifted the lid.
What he saw next made his eyes light up!
Inside the wooden chest were actually large quantities of Soul Stones, neatly stacked together!
Some were only the size of a fingernail, while others were as large as a fist.
Their surfaces emitted varying shades of ghostly light, and they were piled together so densely that they almost completely filled the chest.
"So many?!"
Zich couldn’t help revealing an expression of delight.
After all, when they had previously killed nine goblins, they had only managed to find three Soul Stones on their corpses.
But now, this single wooden chest alone contained more than a hundred Soul Stones!
And this was only one section of the warehouse!
"Hahaha! Looks like coming here really was the right decision!" The smile on Zich’s face grew even brighter.
For someone who liked living a very luxurious lifestyle, Soul Stones were something he would never get tired of!
After all, whether it was nurturing his summons or covering the soul energy consumption he might face in the future, such resources would always be useful.
More importantly, he didn’t have to spend any money purchasing them!
All he had to do was reach out and take them!
"Zich!"
However, just as he was preparing to search the other wooden crates, Nadia’s slightly urgent voice suddenly came from outside the warehouse.
"Hurry up! There are more and more goblins gathering outside!"
"Got it!" Zich quickly responded and casually stored the entire chest of Soul Stones in his spatial bag.
However, just as he was preparing to turn around and leave, his gaze suddenly swept across a pile of ores on the other side of the warehouse.
Most of the ores were dark gray, with rough surfaces that appeared rather ordinary.
However, mixed among them were several noticeably different pieces of silver gray ore.
Their surfaces possessed a faintly translucent quality, and within them, one could vaguely make out numerous tiny silver patterns, as though some special power was slowly flowing through their interiors.
"Hmm?"
Zich paused slightly.
Although he didn’t know exactly what these ores were, his instincts told him that anything stored separately in this place was probably not ordinary.
With that thought, he immediately shouted toward the entrance.
"Nadia! There are a few pieces of silver gray ore over here. Do you want them?"
"Ore?"
Nadia had been preparing to order the Nether Eye White Tiger to continue intercepting the goblins outside.
Hearing his words, she spared a moment to glance inside the warehouse.
However, when her gaze landed on those silver gray ores, her expression suddenly changed!
"Take them!"
She spoke almost without hesitation.
Immediately afterward, taking advantage of the moment when the Nether Eye White Tiger sent several charging goblins flying backward once again, Nadia quickly retreated into the warehouse.
Arriving before the pile of ores, she raised her hand and stored all the silver gray pieces in her storage ring.
The entire process was swift and decisive, without the slightest unnecessary movement.
"Alright! We can retreat now!"
After collecting the ores, Nadia turned toward him.
By this point, the situation outside the warehouse had become increasingly chaotic.
"Gah gah gah!!"
"Garu!!"
Furious goblin shrieks rose and fell continuously.
The street, which had previously been relatively quiet, had now descended into complete chaos.
A squad of goblins carrying wooden shields rushed over from the distance, quickly blocking the warehouse’s main entrance.
Behind them were two goblin shamans dressed in animal skins and carrying bone staffs.
They raised their staffs high into the air, continuously chanting strange incantations.
Buzz!
Streams of green mana began gathering at the tips of their bone staffs.
Even the ground near the warehouse entrance trembled slightly beneath the fluctuations of magical energy.
Seeing this, Nadia’s expression became serious.
"White Tiger, retreat!"
Roar!
The Nether Eye White Tiger let out a low roar.
Its enormous body suddenly lunged forward, directly knocking aside the two goblins blocking its path.
Then, exerting tremendous force through its four limbs, it leaped onto the nearby slope of piled rubble and sprang upward toward the damaged stone corridor above!
At the same time, Nadia suddenly swung the silver short blade in her hand, deflecting a spear thrust aimed directly at her.
However, she did not leave just yet. She first confirmed that the Nether Eye White Tiger had successfully landed on the stone corridor above.
The next moment...
Swoosh!
Nadia’s figure suddenly vanished from the warehouse entrance!
Almost simultaneously, the goblin shamans behind her finally completed their spells.
Boom!
A green beam of mana suddenly blasted toward the warehouse entrance!
However, it only struck the position where Nadia had been standing moments earlier, blowing the nearby stone tiles into countless fragments.
Meanwhile, on the other side, at the warehouse’s side entrance...
Riiip!
Accompanied by a piercing tearing sound, the Silk Barrier Slimy had previously created finally reached its limit under the continuous attacks of the goblins outside. A gap was now forcibly torn through it!
"Gah!!"
Several goblin warriors shrieked excitedly, scrambling over one another as they squeezed through the opening.
However!
The moment they stepped into the warehouse, they saw an enormous scythe blade burning with faint soul flames descending toward them from above like the blade of judgment.
