Spy Wife Harem: SSS-rank Secret Organization
Chapter 57: A world of better tomorrow.
"That was quite the stunt." Lily picked him up by collar and placed him on a golden chair covered in magical gems.
The gems glowed as they recognised his potential for different kinds of powers, magical energies, and his affinities with different kinds of beings. She placed him under a simple looking box after that, and while he did not feel anything inside the box, when he came out, the others were gasping.
"He... she looks pretty cute." He did not notice but the box had analysed him and synced his disguise ring with multiple data sets for the different identities that he would need going forward.
This box was very important to them since it did not only recognise what the selected person would be fit for a collection of identities they had in their database, the box was an item of the olden times, an artifact that can tune special weapons like Andrew’s red dagger and their Contradiction rings.
After finishing that, she placed him back on the chair as the four of them took a step back from him, leaving him to the mercy of those who had become angry at what he had just done.
< "Huh. No muscles, no bones. That child can’t even swing a knife much less a weapon!" >
It was a thunderous voice, however the boy that the voice was shouting at could not hear anything it was saying.
The rest of them already knew just how weak this boy truly was. But then again, to think he was going to know the will of a relic like that was a matter the rest of then would be shocked at if it were true to any level.
The highest space of the academy mountain is a desolate space with nothing but snow.
It’s the peak of one of the highest mountains of this world, a mountain that’s also the most important for the human civilizations that have existed until now and those that will ever exist after this point in time.
There are various, almost countless things that make the academy an important place, but, the most important of them all is the person who sits at the highest peak of this institution.
-Swiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish!
The prime headmaster, the witch of calamity, the whimsical absolute. She had many names and none that could ever describe her with certainty.
Even though she was the most important and the most powerful, she was sitting before a single yellow flower blooming in a snow covered garden before a simple cottage that existed at the top of the epic mountain.
The flower was ordinary. It was simply a flower that had bloomed by chance after snow, but as simple as it may seem, this was not something that simple for the person who looked at it with the most sincere and fascinated eyes.
{ "..." }
To the giant owl that was looking at her, one who stood right before her and had all the opportunities to slam the head of this absolutely unaware lady, could not do that even if she wished to do so.
She may be an unfathomable entity herself, but, being so close to the center of the prime headmaster’s domain made her own will utterly restricted.
The master of the academy and the winds that covered it was looking at a simple plant right now, and even though the entire academy was in a certain state of unease, she didn’t seem to be worried about anything at all.
The colorful eyes that seemed to hold everything within them were sparkling like they had never seen something more fascinating, but to the owl, the headmaster mystique, this sight was a little strange.
"You’re wondering why I’m so happy right now, right Rang?"
{ "Umm..." }
Instead of that, she was wondering why she was interested in something so simple. But she couldn’t possibly say that to her face.
{ "Yes-." }
"Liar."
Not that it was ever going to work anyways. Nothing was hidden from her in this domain. Even the unconscious thoughts that might pass through a mystique beast whose entire power was based on her inner world.
"Rang you think too much." The headmaster sat down in the snow covered ground and gently caressed the single leaf attached to this flower. "Look at this flower."
The headmaster looked at the big owl, deep into her golden eyes, with a smile on her innocent face.
"What do you see here?"
It wasn’t a trick question.
{ "A flower." }
"Right. This is a flower."
But the context still mattered.
"A flower blooming in a snow covered land that has never seen its kind before."
This was the first time this kind of flower had bloomed in this soil, at the peak of this mountain.
This wasn’t a plant that was supposed to be here. This wasn’t a plant that should have been here to begin with.
They don’t survive the harsh conditions that are present so high up in the mountain. They do not have the evolutionary requirements to grow so far up by themselves.
And yet, here it was, a lone flower in the ground covered in snow.
"Do you know how this got here?"
{ "I..." }
Someone must have carried a seed with them when they came up here. That would be the logical explanation at the very least.
But no. That’s not the case this time.
"It rode the winds."
A seemingly normal flower seed, riding the winds and coming so far up on the mountain. It isn’t all that easy.
"From one current to another, trapped inside a few grains of sand, riding a falcon, falling here with the snow, taking root before it was too wet, and against all odds, it grew here, in this mountaintop covered in white."
It was a pure coincidence and maybe something like this will never happen again. And that fact, that uncertainty and randomness of the world was exactly the lesson that the prime headmaster was reminding her fellow headmaster of.
{ "Headmaster..." }
She knew the prime headmaster had figured her motives and questions and worries out from the start.
Perhaps, this was the lesson she had prepared for her a long time ago as well.
"He’s different, he’s dangerous, but at the same time, he’s adorable." The smile on the prime headmaster’s face brightened as she thought about him.
"He thinks he has no chance of making a change on his own so he’s now doing the worst he can do to cause chaos all around the world."
The others related to him or the academy system did not need the outside info, but the prime headmaster already knew everything that he was involved in right now.
She knew how he was doing more than he let out.
The academy was simply the core of his operations. He can do what he needs to do the most effectively in this place, and she agreed as well.
"He’s a good boy, Rang."
The headmaster placed her hands around the flower and created a barrier around it.
She would remove it soon so that it can go through its natural life-death cycle, but for the time being, she was going to enjoy looking at this precious life.
"He’s not one of the bad ones."
Heart was heavy when she thought about all the ones who had appeared around the world in the past, ones who were like him.
They called them ’the ones older than today’ or something similar, but in essence, they were talking about those who had cheated time and death.
There were many who returned to fulfill their grudges. Even today, there were some who walked in the shadows of the present, almost impossible to distinguish from the normal beings.
They harm the sacredness of nature and bring unwarranted chaos to the world... perhaps, Sam didn’t want exactly that.
"The new students are here." The prime headmaster looked at the owl headmaster and smiled once again, a simple smile that melted her and allowed her to move as she wanted.
"We ought to guide them better than we have until now. And, he will help us with it."
They had approved of his position and once his research gets published and recognised, he will move onto the next stage and become an official Professor of Stanox.
If, by chance, this happens under three years, he will be the youngest human to ever stand in that position, as well as the being who held the most potential in the current world.
His fame would undoubtedly spread world wide. And he will finally have the attention of the entire world.
But he did not want to surprise the world with his ’tomorrow’ just yet.
"Go now. We still have to prepare a batch for him."
Sam’s primary proposal of a new school of taming was going through the fastest and most advanced review process ever.
While it was being processed, he was allowed to teach a class of his own. And, while he could have taught anything, he chose the thing he had pioneered way into the future...
{ "Yes, headmaster." }
He knew it was not going to be an easy task.
But then again, he knew what he was walking into the moment he sent his proposal to the academy a few months ago.
