Chapter 505: Chapter 505: Dealt With

[Third Person Pov]

The rest of the Spider-Family stood clustered near the shimmering exit of the Mirror Dimension, a mixture of amusement and pure bewilderment written across every face.

Lizzy turned toward Harry with a distinctly suggestive look, one eyebrow arched high. "You should let me pick you up like that sometime."

Harry’s expression went flat. "Absolutely not. I actually possess something called pride and dignity."

Lizzy’s giggle echoed lightly through the warped corridor.

Gwen stepped forward, arms crossed, her gaze locked on the elegant black-haired woman who still radiated residual green magic. Even through the lingering chaos, Loki’s beauty was impossible to ignore—ethereal, sharp, and somehow more polished than anyone Gwen had ever met. She glanced sideways at Peter, suspicion flickering behind her lenses. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

"Okay. What is actually going on here? Who is she?"

Peter, still half-clinging to Felicia’s side like a dramatic damsel, brought a hand over to his chest in offense. "Don’t look at me like that. I’m completely innocent in this. Long story short—that’s Loki. Thor’s sister."

A collective wave of widened eyes swept through the group. Every head turned toward the goddess, examining her with a fresh mixture of wariness and curiosity.

Peter released a long, put-upon sigh and pressed the back of one hand to his forehead as though burdened by the weight of his own attractiveness. "She fell for me and now she won’t leave me alone. The gods were truly cruel when they made me this handsome."

"I did not fall for you!" Loki’s voice cracked like a whip. She jabbed an accusatory finger in his direction, green eyes blazing. "You tripped me and then laughed in my face!"

All attention swung back to Peter. He finally stepped away from Felicia’s side, shoulders shaking with poorly suppressed snickers.

Felicia tilted her head, fighting a smile of her own. "Seriously?"

Peter raised both hands in surrender under the weight of their collective stares. "In my defense, she infiltrated the place while invisible and was sneaking around like a creep. She was practically asking for it."

Loki crossed her arms tightly over her chest and shot a disdainful look toward Spider-Man—the mortal who had somehow graduated from temporary annoyance to full-blown personal nemesis in the span of a few minutes.

"Do you see how he is, brother? And yet you would choose to believe him over your own sister?"

Peter rolled his eyes so hard the motion was visible even through the mask. "No, yeah, I might be acting like a little shit right now, but that doesn’t change the fact that she’s a liar. Wake up, dude. It won’t be long now before her pants catch on fire"

Thor’s expression settled into something heavy and conflicted. After a long moment he spoke, voice low and grim.

"I am sorry, Man of Spiders... but I must give my sister the benefit of the doubt. I choose to believe what she has told me."

Peter only shrugged, the picture of casual indifference. "Eh. I suppose I respect it—family and all that. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you."

"Ha!" Loki’s triumphant exclamation rang out bright and sharp. A gloating smile spread across her features... until she caught the edge of Thor’s serious gaze from the corner of her eye. She quickly cleared her throat and softened her entire demeanor.

"Ahem. What I meant to say was... Thank you, brother. Your faith in me warms my heart."

She stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him in what was clearly meant to look like a comforting embrace. "We will get through these trials together."

Thor placed both large hands on her shoulders and firmly pushed her back to arm’s length. His voice dropped into a quiet, iron-edged warning.

"Make no mistake, sister. The only reason I am willing to place my trust in you is because you are family—and I will always have your back. However, if this turns out to be another one of your schemes... there will be hell to pay."

Loki’s outward expression remained perfectly composed, almost serene. Inwardly, however, a cold sneer curled through her thoughts.

’Hell to pay? I gave birth to Hell, brother. Your threats do not scare me.’

While Thor and Loki spoke a short distance away, Peter and the others carried on a private conversation through the psychic link Aria had woven between them.

*"What is actually going on?"* Gwen asked. Her mental voice carried more curiosity than suspicion or worry; she simply wanted a clear picture before forming any judgment.

Thanks to the link, Peter was able to share the entire sequence of events in a clean, rapid stream of memory and thought—from the moment his spider-sense first detected the invisible presence, through the trip, the face-plant, the chaotic fight inside the Mirror Dimension, and finally Loki’s current attempt to deceive Thor about Odin’s supposed death.

*"If she’s planning something malicious, shouldn’t we warn Thor to be more careful?"* Harry questioned, genuine confusion threading through his tone. *"If all of us speak up together, I’m sure he’ll see reason."*

Peter shook his head slightly. *"He won’t. I might not have known Thor for long, but it’s obvious he’s a family man—and that’s an admirable trait, honestly. He won’t cast doubt on his own sister unless she gives him an undeniable reason. He’ll stubbornly keep believing Loki for the simple fact that she *is* his sister."*

MJ’s eyes drifted toward the sibling pair as she spoke into the link. *"So what, are we just going to let Loki do her thing? Won’t that put Thor in danger?"*

*"Of course not,"* Peter scoffed, arms crossed. *"But we don’t have to worry much about Thor. Stubborn or not, he isn’t an idiot. No one knows Loki better than he does. He knows to stay careful—see?"*

He gave a small nod toward the two gods. Even from here they could all witness Thor’s firm warning and the way he kept Loki at arm’s length.

*"Not to mention we have more pressing matters to deal with right now,"* Peter continued with a quiet sigh. Everything had been moving far too fast for his liking. *"Genderbent Loki is honestly the least of our concerns at the moment."*

None of them questioned the "genderbent" comment; they simply accepted it and agreed. The residual danger radiating from the earlier Doombot incident still felt far more urgent than the goddess currently arguing with her brother.

A sudden, piercing screech cut through the Mirror Dimension.

"YOU LOST THE HAMMER?!"

Loki stared at Thor in pure, open-mouthed disbelief, dumbfounded by how foolish her brother was, after all didn’t the hammer have a loyalty enchantment, "How does one simply lose Mjolnir?!"

Peter placed a hand over his heart and spoke in an exaggeratedly soft, gentle tone. "You forget to cherish her..."

Felicia’s eyes lit up instantly. She began snapping her fingers in rapid recognition. "Oh! Oh! I know this one! Zack and Cody!"

Peter grinned and extended his open palm to the side. Felicia slapped it in a proud high-five, both of them looking entirely too pleased with themselves.

The rest of their friends broke into quiet snickers and collective eye-rolls.

Thor and Loki simply stared at the mortals. Loki eventually held up one hand as if trying to physically block the nonsense from reaching her, making a series of exasperated grunts and half-formed noises of pure irritation and annoyance. She clearly had no idea how long her sanity was going to last if she continued to interact with Peter any longer.

"I did not lose it," Thor answered at last, voice dropping into a low, almost defensive timber. "It was stolen. There is a difference."

He straightened a little, recovering some of his usual confidence. "But do not worry. The Man with the Strength of a Thousand Spiders has already promised to help me regain my hammer. And after witnessing how easily he dealt with you, Loki, I am quite confident in both his abilities and our chances of reclaiming Mjolnir from that metal wizard."

Loki’s expression darkened. She scoffed loudly and fixed her brother with a sharp, offended glare. "Dealt with me? Are you trying to pick a fight or something? Do you not see me standing in front of you still in one piece?"
