Chapter 562 - Calm And Chaotic
Eisen slowed down as he was right above the Starlight building, letting the wooden box down on the balcony so that they could take a little break for now. He shrunk down and deactivated his Draconic Demon King transformation while Stahl, Evalia, Sal, Caria and Melissa stepped out of the box.
And the very next moment, Eisen could already hear footsteps within the actual penthouse, "Eisen!" Komer exclaimed, "What the fuck did you do? Couldn't you have warned me or something?" The young Fate Merchant asked, seeming completely exhausted at the moment.
"What do you mean? You made the contract, you knew about everything." The old man pointed out, but without a moment's hesitation, Komer shook his head.
"Oh no, I knew that you wanted to show your power and that of the guild again. There's already a shitton of articles and videos everywhere speaking about the fact that 'World's Peak' is doing everything to follow their name. What I'm talking about is that you were actively advertising and telling people to go to the islands and prototype." Komer pointed out, "All the ships going out to Prototype are booked out for the next three months. We need new ships, that's what I mean. Starlight has exclusive transportation rights from and to prototype at the moment, but that's exactly the issue. There's no way in hell that we're going to be able to handle all of that alone! All the ships we need to buy and people we need to hire is-"
"Komer." Eisen interrupted, and the young man slowly looked up at him, "...yeah?" He asked, before Eisen simply smiled at him, "Calm down. I'll work on it. This whole ordeal made me realize that there was something far more important we should concentrate on. For one, we need to create a place where everyone that wants to can go to have any item made that they may need. And we need a place where people can fight however much they want, at whatever scale they want." Eisen pointed out.
"First, there is the Island of the God of Craftsmanship. There, we'll definitely find ressources and hands to create however many ships we need. And then, the second one is the Island of the God of War. As far as I'm aware, there should be more than enough ressources on there for any sort of war, and since it's an island, I'm positive that includes warships. We'll grab the warships and bring them over to the island of craftsmanship and have them remodeled and repaired if necessary. It should take just a week or two and then we'll bring them over here. The harbors in prototype are already being built at a pretty large scale, so we'll have more than enough space to keep all of those."
Komer sighed in relief after hearing all that and then sat down on the chair behind him, that one of the bodyguard Golems pulled up just for him, "That's good then... I was about to go crazy trying to juggle all of that shit..." He sighed, and Eisen looked down at him with a light smile on his face, "Don't worry, Komer. You're going to be fine. How about it, come with us for a bit and let others handle things here for a while? You have store managers for everything, and it's not like you're going to be completely uninformed. You can take a break sometimes." Eisen pointed out, and Stahl immediately agreed to what his grandfather just said.
"Yup, exactly. And I mean, seriously. At this point, your dumbass brothers don't have even have the slightest chance at beating you in that competition, right? You obviously have the biggest company in the whole game. Well, 'game', I guess. It's not really a game... It's fucking confusing, man." The young man groaned loudly, and Eisen just looked at him with a light chuckle, while Komer himself just looked up at everyone.
"Yeah, not really, there's no way I'm going to be allowed to inherit my dad's company." Komer pointed out, and both Stahl and Evalia looked at Komer confusedly, although Eisen already had a rough idea why this was. It just seemed like Komer didn't want to directly speak about it yet, so he didn't bring it up.
And so, before the others could question Komer any more, Eisen just continued, "Either way, you deserved a break. Pack your things up, we're leaving in an hour."
"An hour? But I-"
"I'm fine with 30 minutes as well if you prefer that." Eisen pointed out, and Komer just looked back with a light squint of his eyes, "...you won this time..." Komer muttered as he jumped up and made his way into the penthouse, while Eisen simply sat down on one of the chairs out here. It was a nice day, and summer would be over in this world soon, so they had to enjoy it while they could.
Melissa didn't hesitate to jump on Eisen's lap, considering that she had to make use of a chance like this as much as she could while she still had the body of a child and could properly act the part. Caria was looking at her sister a bit jealously, something that Melissa weirdly enjoyed, actually.
Meanwhile, Sal dropped down onto the outside-couch and just tried to sleep. For whatever reason, he just made the active choice to stay awake more and more while Eisen was sleeping over the past few weeks. Eisen had no idea what exactly he was doing during those four hours, but it seemed to be something worth being this exhausted over all the time.
And while Eisen was just sitting there with the Great Empress Bee sitting on his lap, he was trying to figure out what kinds of things he could make that may be of help in heaven or hell. Or most importantly, what kinds of things he may need to do to get the favor of the gods of the underworld. He didn't have a direct conversation with any of them yet, so he couldn't say whether or not they were pure chaotic evil or just relatively calm, reasonable people. For the most part, all gods seemed to just do whatever they want, a quality that logically should be more prominent in the more 'evil' gods, but seeing how some other of the supposedly 'good' gods acted a lot of the time, Eisen wasn't entirely sure if that was accurate.
He would just have to see. It probably wouldn't be too hard either way, since the gods already long knew about him, but there still might be some sort of challenge that was directly connected to getting their official approval. Or reaching heaven and hell in the first place.
With a deep groan, Eisen leaned into his chair and just looked over to the side, where Evalia and Stahl were currently trying to figure out a nice design for Stahl's demonic transformation. They were both relatively excited about the whole 'Trickster Demon' thing and were trying to come up with something that would really do that title justice, but in the end that just ended up making the whole thing far too cluttered, as far as Eisen could see on the small model that Evalia created in front of her and Stahl.
"Remove the scrolls, watches, extra eyes, the tail, and basically anything but the suit. And make the color-scheme of the suit itself less chaotic. So don't use ten different palettes and patterns." Eisen suggested, and the two of them looked at Eisen with a bit of surprise.
"Why that? It just looks so... boring without that. That doesn't really fit to a trickster demon, right?" Stahl pointed out, and the old man sighed as he properly sat up again.
"You're a Demon of Yin and Yang. You need two different energies. Instead of 'Hope and Fear' like it is for me, I think a trickster's energies should be 'Calm and Chaotic'. You can go for that kind of more chaotic thing for your yin form, even though it's still a bit of an overkill, but nobody will completely trust you enough to be tricked by you if you run around like that. Your Yang form will be there to influence others' minds for the positive, you will make them trust you. You should do anything you can not to distract them from that trust. Reel them in, anything. And then when it comes to the 'reveal of the trick' or whatever, you should be in your chaotic yin form and make whoever you tricked panic. That's how I personally think you should make use of it as a Demon of Yin and Yang." Eisen explained. More and more throughout what was basically a small 'speech' from Eisen, Stahl and Evalia seemed to become more convinced that this actually did make more sense. They removed everything there was for now, although Stahl still had something that he was slightly worrying about.
"But doesn't that somehow seem a bit wrong? With the image that I have, when a trickster tries to convince someone, he's still grim and intimidating, as if he's smoothly coercing someone into doing what he wants. Does that really fit the image of 'Yang'?"
"Of course it does. Yang includes a bit of Yin, and Yin includes a bit of Yang. They're both parts of each other, that's the thing. Personally it's the same for me as well. I use negative energies to push positive energies to seem even more positive, and vice-versa."
"I see..." Stahl muttered quietly. Just like this, Stahl and Evalia continued on playing around with the image they wanted Stahl's forms to have, and soon simply tested it out by playing around with both a little bit.
It would take a while until Stahl would get a real hang of it either way, but it seemed like he already managed to complete his demonic form.
The issue was just that right now, he couldn't influence his demonic form that well yet, meaning that it was a bit of a combination between the 'Calm' Yang form and the 'Chaotic' Yin form. Stahl would have to use this form for a while for now until he got properly used to it.
Either way, when Stahl was grumbling to himself about that fact while still trying to play around with actually activating his demonic transformation himself now instead of having to rely on Evalia for it, Komer came outside to the balcony with anything that he would need while on the islands for now.
Eisen packed them away inside of his item storage to save space and then just made everyone get back into the box. It was a little cramped with Komer now, but at the very least, the Bodyguard Golems could be stored away into spatial storage items and then also placed into Eisen's item storage, so they could save a little more space at least.
And so, the group made their way over to the islands after stopping a giant raid from happening and continuosly killing numerous players over and over again.
