Chapter 531 - The Giant Tilling The Land
Eisen looked at Raziel with a slight frown and crossed his arms, "Copies of my necklace? Of this coin here?" The old man asked, and the Angel quickly nodded her head, "Yup. Seems like they were able to do that since you put the pattern from the coin on all the items you make."
"Well, I don't put it on them completely. A few smaller parts are missing, so it's not complete." Eisen pointed out, and Raziel slightly sighed, "What does that matter? As long as people think that that's what the coin looks like, there's seriously no difference. Before, those coins were one of the greatest indicators of who the 'Originals' were, because of that 'Trailer' you told me about apparently. And since that is stuck in the mind of the artificials, they believe in the fakes even more."
"Fair enough... Well, I don't think it's going to be an issue for now. I'll deal with it later if I have the time." Eisen pointed out, and slowly turned around to continue looking for the next root that he should pull out of the ground, and the Angel of Knowledge behind him grumbled quietly to herself.
"Right. I'll head to that Dungeon and wait in there for you. So hurry it up, will you?" Raziel said in a borderline commanding tone, and Eisen turned around slightly annoyedly, before Kirisho and Bree were both looking up at him.
"You have a deal with that woman? What kind of deal exactly..?" Kirisho asked with a slight bit of concern, and Eisen just slightly shrugged, "Well, her name is Raziel. She's an Angel to the God of Truth Mystor. She has an ability that makes it easy for her to gather information from all over the place, so the deal I made with her was basically just an information-exchange. She gets me the information that I need, and I tell her about the other world. The one I came from." Eisen explained to them quickly.
"And as you just heard, I asked her to get me the information on what happens when I tell others about the truth of this and the other world, and in return I promised to tell her everything and anything she wants to know." Eisen explained pretty quickly.
"But what was that with hell? In what way was that not a threat?" Bree asked nervously. It was obvious that both she and Kirisho understood it that way.
"I think it was more like a direct instruction than a threat. It was seemingly a message from the gods, and especially the gods that Raziel should be in contact with should be those that are on our side rather than Samuel's, so they won't try to kill me. And in the first place, I'm immortal, I'm just going to come back a couple of hours later." Eisen pointed out, "Death is probably some sort of trigger for something important to happen once I manage to get to hell."
"Oh..." The young Fey-Kin girl pointed out with an awkward smile, "Sorry, I completely misunderstood that then..."
"Haha, don't worry about that, Bree." The old man laughed a bit, "Let's just keep on going with the roots for now, alright you two?" Eisen suggested, before the two of them quickly nodded their heads. And after that, they did really just continue pulling out more and more roots from the ground. They did so for the rest of the day, until the vast majority of the thicker roots were pulled. There were still some in the ground that Eisen figured to be a waste of time to try and pull, but those would either end up being eaten up by Kiron's flames or would just rot when Jyuuk came here and did another last quick 'sweep' of the area while they were preparing the ground to be properly farmed on.
And then, in the evening, Eisen did as he was asked to and started telling Raziel some more stories about the other world. Basically, he told her whatever she wanted to know for now. After all, it was basically impossible to tell her everything there was to tell within a single night, so Eisen simply chose to answer any question that Raziel had for him.
Around afternoon of the next day, they managed to remove all of the roots and the rest of the Ironbark log itself, and the only thing that was left now was the stump. Eisen worked together with the Wood-Giant that Sky was once more turning into that lumberjack-form to try and cut apart the stump. Piece by piece, they managed to remove it, until there were only the roots digging deep into the ground were left.
Eisen slowly turned toward the crystal half-dragon next to him and just smiled, "I think we're ready to make use of your element now." The old man pointed out, and Kiron swiftly nodded his head, "Of course!" He exclaimed excitedly. The half-dragon knight climbed down onto the hole that was left over after removing most of the stump, and then held his hand forward. Slowly Kiron's hand was cloaked in the translucent crystal flames, before he just squatted down and pressed his palm onto one of the parts of one of the roots still sticking out of the ground here.
The flames immediately started sticking to the wood, and Kiron quickly proceeded to place it onto the rest of any other roots that were visible from up here, before Eisen pulled his grandson out of the hole.
And then, Kiron simply closed his eyes and took a deep breath, before Eisen started watching the flames spread out a bit more. At a rapid pace, at least when compared to the speed at which regular flames burnt things away, the roots were starting to disappear into nothingness, just replaced by the flames that accelerated everything even more. It seemed like the focus of the flames wasn't to evenly burn away at the front surface, but rather to burn themselves into the center of the roots along the core.
And sure, that made sense. Like that, the path wouldn't be blocked by dirt falling down somehow since the structural integrity of the roots was mostly kept, and it would make spreading out throughout the roots a fair bit quicker as well, since everything was far more focused. And then, since there would be more surface area inside, the flames could easily destroy the roots all at once.
It seemed like that was exactly what Kiron was going for, and quite soon, that plan became a reality. From what Eisen could tell with his mana-sight, the roots were nearly completely gone now, and all that was left were the crystal flames eating away at some of the leftover parts.
"Good job, Kiron." Eisen said with a smile on his face, and then looked over toward the others to tell them to step a bit further away again, until it was only Eisen left there. And the old man increased his size to the maximum, which also considerably increased his weight. Due to this, as the underground was now missing some parts that kept it together and there was a fair amount of hollow space there, the dirt just sank in. It wasn't a lot, but it was still a considerable amount.
Due to the fact that the tree was growing here, the ground had generally become incredibly uneven, and that it was now sinking in in some parts didn't really help much either.
But either way, the old man chose to quickly get to work. Since preparing and tilling the land also gave you Farming proficiency, that's what Eisen would be doing now. Since all the guards had long left over the last couple of days, the only ones here were those that were part of Eisen's group, all of which were outside at the moment.
So, Eisen had Fafnir close down the dungeon, just to then have it be opened in another location. But that wasn't any location, but more specifically, an extra free space in the Wood-Giant's chest. It was only able to fit up to the second gate, of course, but it was still more than enough. Since there was even a little space for Fafnir to sleep there, it was really the perfect place.
After the dungeon was set up, Eisen had the wood-giant pick everyone up and hold them up to the dungeon-gate. Like this, the dungeon was now pretty mobile, so the old man didn't have to work around anything.
And to top it off, the wood-giant's golem core had a little bit more protection as well, since the gate was covering that spot up.
Eisen made the Wood-Giant sit down at a place where there were a lot of rocks so that it wouldn't be suitable to be turned into farmland, while the old man activated his draconic demon transformation and transferred that transformation to his multitool as well.
And with a single thought, he made it change into its shovel-mode, and Eisen could quickly start using the mounds of dirt as well as slight hills to fill in the holes that formed in the ground.
This place seemed to have been mostly flat before the Ironbark tree was grown here, after all, so it was most likely supposed to be rather flat.
Eisen shoveled and shoveled, pushed the dirt around with his feet or the flat side of the multitool, until it had all been returned to just being flat. Since Jyuuk and Xenia would only get here tomorrow morning, Eisen figured that it was a good idea to try and get started with properly preparing the ground to have the seeds that Jyuuk would be bringing with him tomorrow planted in it.
The old man had the multitool turn into the hoe mode and started to break up the soil a bit more. Eisen actually used a little bit of his mana together with his mining ability to break things down to more easily loosen the ground up.
And a couple of hours later, the giant Eisen was done preparing most of the land that they were allowed to use, before heading off into the dungeon as well for tonight. He had a good night's sleep, although he really just logged off and spent a little bit of time with his family and friends again, and then made his way into the game again before awaiting the arrival of Jyuuk and Xenia.
It didn't take too long either, like Eisen was informed, since this place actually wasn't terribly far away from the harbor town, so they managed to get here pretty quickly.
As Eisen was greeting the two of them, and of course showing off the Wood-Giant to them, they also already spoke about what exactly to plant. But of course, they were all going to be giant variants of regular things.
