266 Hammer
“Whoa. You actually did it in such a short amount of time!” Khalendros was very impressed.
“I thought you didn’t know anything about runes? Modifying the effect of a high grade magical item so forcibly requires a really high understanding of runes!” Khellendra asked carefully.
She was still reeling slightly from the deep sense of terrifying wonder she had felt earlier.
“Indeed. A very high understanding and mastery of Runes. Both of which… I now possess.” Elliot said calmly and slightly distractedly as he continued to take stock of the massive amount of knowledge that now nestled in his brain.
Khalendros and Khellendra looked at each other.
How long had it been since they met him?
And how many times in that short amount of time had they seen him show massive jumps in power, jumps that would require any normal life form tens, or even hundreds of years to achieve?
If everyone in the universe was a bicycle, then Elliot was a latest generation, warp-capable space speedster!
“Well. It’s good that you’re okay. We were quite worried there for a bit when you said all those weird things.” Khellendra smiled gently.
Elliot looked at Khellendra and felt a slight warmth appear and penetrate the deep cloud of apathy that had flooded his heart.
He smiled back at Khellendra and Khalendros.
“Don’t worry. I was… consolidating my power earlier. I am completely sane.” Elliot said unhurriedly.
“Consolidating your power? Just how powerful are you now?” Khalendros asked curiously.
Elliot raised his right arm slightly and transformed it into a red dragon arm.
He clenched his claws into a fist and circulated his Cosmic Dragon Energy slightly.
With a thought, he released his stealth for a short moment.
SWOOOSH!!!
A grand and mighty dragon aura appeared.
It was not suffocating, nor was it aggressive. It didn’t press down heavily on them like the auras of most powerhouses in the Hegemon or even Ancient level.
Elliot’s aura was simply but purely…
Regal.
It was an aloof sort of majesty that did not demand to be worshipped, but one that naturally inspires devotion and reverence from every living being in his presence.
In the next few seconds, Khalendros and Khellendra paled very dramatically, and had to use all of their strength to fight the urge to prostrate themselves before Elliot!
Thankfully, Elliot seemed to sense their growing discomfort and quickly released his red dragon transformation on his arm and stealthed his aura once more.
However, from that moment on, both Khalendros and Khellendra knew that everything had changed.
In their hearts, Elliot was no longer the little human boy who had somehow gained a ridiculous amount of power and who had the potential to be the brightest rising star of the universe.
He was a dragon, like them. And not just any dragon. He was the Progenitor of Dragons!
And for as long as he lived, they would serve him with all of their hearts, strength and minds.
“We will be moving out soon. Why don’t you two help the girls prepare?” Elliot said to them with a smile.
Both Khalendros and Khellendra smoothly gave a little bow and replied softly.
“Of course… Master.”
The word Master came very naturally to their lips. In fact, it felt very appropriate. In their minds, any other lesser term of address would almost be blasphemy!
The two dragons quickly departed and left Elliot alone with his thoughts.
After a full month of incessant powering up, Elliot had finally reached a point where he felt like he had all the tools he required to succeed in his life.
Cosmic Dragon Energy. Check.
Complete Dragon Transformation. Check.
Bloodline. Check.
Rune Mastery. Check.
System Upgrade. Check.
Even his sisters were doing well!
The only things he had yet to achieve on his personal power growth at the short term were:
1. The complete collection of all dragon types and in volumes sufficient for him to do a full transformation.
2. Mastery of the Ascendant Runes which Jessica Sands had mentioned.
3. Breaking through to Emperor Level.
4. Completing all 12 of his Beast Apostles.
If he could achieve them in a short amount of time, it would be for the very best. But even if he didn’t, he could already do plenty of damage with his current level of power.
In the known universe, Hegemons were movers and shakers, and although not one yet, Elliot wielded the power of several.
At that moment, Elliot was a force to be reckoned with!
Of course, as they say, the nail that sticks out will be hammered.
It was definitely true for Elliot as well.
After displaying so much strength and such ridiculous potential, he had become a hot potato.
Whoever gets their hands on him, would gain a very critical piece that could potentially allow them to rise up a tier or two in the power structure of the universe!
And if that happened, the political landscape of the entire universe would have to be reshaped.
War would definitely take place, if it hadn’t already.
As it were, planet Earth had already become a hotbed of conflict at that moment that could very well spark the start of a universal war!
Elliot was aware of all that.
In fact, he had even accurately suspected that the reasons for the Eradicating Emperors and Hunting Hegemons Game were to make use of the chaos to make it easier for him to remain alive while at the same time to make more money off the bets that would definitely take place.
“Before today, the hammer blow on me would definitely give me trouble.
He looked up at the distance and then smiled coldly.
“Here comes the first hammer.”
