Chapter 786: Backstroke

Adam stared at Tephe in shocked silence for a moment before asking, “Do you mean pheromones?”

“Yup,” Tephe nodded.

“You can tell when we’re about to have sex?” Adam asked for clarification.

“She’s a dragon, honey,” Revi said in amusement. “While females can also smell it, it was mainly the males who used it to determine when a female is in heat. While this isn’t the only time they have sex, in ancient times before they learned to assume human form and to speak, it was how dragons and, in fact, many other non-humanoid races indicated they were ready to mate.”

“Including your race?” Adam asked.

“Including my race,” Revi confirmed before continuing. “While this method of finding a mate has long since expired, the majority of other races still have the nose to pick up when their mate is in heat.”

“I guess that makes sense,” Adam replied. “It’s just sometimes hard to remember that two such beauties are in fact creatures that could destroy planets.”

“Aww, such a smooth talker,” Revi teased, though both she and Tephi blushed with happiness.

“Technically, I’m not strong enough to destroy a planet yet,” Tephe stated. “The best I could do is carve giant craters in the planet's surface while boiling the atmosphere. But I’m working on it”

“Err, right,” Adam replied as his lip twitched. “No rush.”

Revi laughed at his response before turning to Tephe and asking with a wink, “Want to know a secret?”

Tephe nodded before asking, “What secret?”

“Nah ah, you gotta call me godmother first,” Revi teased.

“Not happening,” Tephe replied adamantly.

Revi turned her head away while saying, “Then I’m not telling.”

“See if I care,” Tephe replied while turning her head in the opposite direction.

Adam sighed before saying, “Just tell her.”

Revi glanced at him before sighing and saying, “If that’s your wish.”

She then turned to Tephe with a smile while saying, “Adam has promised to kiss us both if I safely learn to swim.”

Tephe’s eyes widened in excitement before she turned to Adam, asking, “Really?”

“Yup,” Adam nodded.

“Yay, yay,” Tephe cheered as she jumped around in the water, splashing the pair and Maya while Maya and the other women all stared at her curiously.

“Ok, ok, calm down,” Revi said in amusement. “If you want your reward, let me finish my practice.”

“Sure,” Tephe nodded, beaming at the pair before swimming back to the others to tell them the good news. Maya, however, remained in the pool and watched Adam curiously.

Adam noticed this and so smiled at Maya while asking, “Not going back with Tephe?”

Maya, however, just shook her head and continued to observe Adam and occasionally Revi.

Adam shrugged before turning to Revi and asking, “Shall we continue?”

“The lessons or what we were doing earlier?” Revi asked with a sultry smile.

Adam rolled his eyes before saying, “The lessons.”

“I figured you’d say that,” Revi said in disappointment, only for the sultry smile to return a second later as she pressed her breasts together to emphasise her cleavage while saying, “Just don’t make me wait too long to claim this.”

“Err, right,” Adam replied while blinking before his eyes fell towards her cleavage, causing her sultry smile to grow.

She let his eyes rest there for a moment before she suddenly released her breasts and turned away while saying, “Guess we better get back to it.”

“Err, right,” Adam replied before taking a moment to sort himself out while Revi smirked at his reaction over her shoulder.

Aphrodite chuckled as she observed the pair before saying, “She’s doing well holding herself back while still teasing him.”

“Well, she has been waiting twelve lifetimes; what’s a few more days?” Elemence replied.

Finally, he said, “Next we’ll work on your basic strokes.”

“Basic strokes?” Revi asked curiously as she turned back to him.

“Yeah, we’ll begin with the backstroke as that keeps your face above the water,” Adam answered before swimming to the edge of the pool while saying, “Watch me again.”

He once again set himself up at the edge of the pool before diving backwards into the water, where he began to do the backstroke while all the women watched.

Soon he neared the other end of the pool, where he came to a stop and stood back up again before addressing Revi, “It’s a simple stroke; you just have to be careful, as if you go too far, you could hit your head on the side of the pool. However, I’ll make sure that doesn’t happen.”

“Ok,” Revi nodded before following into position and following his actions. She dived backwards into the pool, and although she had a rather awkward landing, she didn’t let that stop her and pressed on, mirroring the actions she had seen Adam make.

As they all watched her, they could clearly see that she wasn’t swimming in a straight line and was, in fact, turning to the side.

“That’s natural for a first attempt,” Emma stated before adding. “Though I guess it doesn’t help that she doesn’t have a point of reference to focus on.”

“Point of reference?” Lorelie asked.

“Normally, when children or even adults learn to swim on Earth, they do it at indoor pools. This allows them to use the ceiling as a point of reference, preventing them from going off course so much,” Emma explained.

As she neared the end, Adam called out to her, “That’s enough.”

Revi stopped swimming and took a moment to stand up, as she wasn’t yet used to doing it from such a strange position, before looking around with a proud smile, which soon changed to confusion as she asked, “How did I get over here?”

“You drifted off course,” Adam explained. “It’s fairly common even for experienced swimmers. But you still did a great job since not everyone can manage to swim as you did on their first attempt.”

Revi's frown turned to happiness upon hearing Adam’s remark while Rowena chuckled and said, “Because not everyone has built-in flotation devices as she does.”

“Rowena!” Lorelie chastised.

Revi ignored Rowena except to say, “She’s just jealous that hers aren’t as big as mine.”

“Why would I need those when I have an ass Adam adores?” Rowena retorted smugly.

Adam coughed before asking, “How about we continue?”

“About time, Tierney. It took you long enough to get back to me,” Renne complained as a holographic image of Tierney appeared before her.

“I’ve been busy, Renne. Even being summoned home doesn’t get me out of all the work the professor lumped on me,” Tierney retorted. “We can’t all be like you, who get to attend parties and rallies.”

“It’s a necessary sacrifice in my plan to become student council president,” Renne replied.

“Oh, I feel so bad for your terrible sacrifice,” Tierney replied sarcastically before asking, “What’s so urgent that you had to bombard me with messages?”

“Not just you, but Merle also,” Renne replied. “Where is that sister of yours?”

“Vacationing with her boyfriend and friends,” Tierney answered while rolling her eyes. “She’s ignoring Father's summons.”

“Idiot girl, doesn’t she know how serious this is?” Renne cursed.

Tierney raised an eyebrow before asking, “What are you going on about?”

“It seems your father hasn’t told you,” Renne replied before continuing. “Apparently that quarter bitch Stacey knows what we did back then.”

Tierney’s eyes widened in surprise as she asked, “What? How?”

“I don’t know how, but she does, and so does her boyfriend, who now wants our heads because of it.”

“I told you this was a bad idea back then, Renne,” Tierney stated angrily.

“A bit late for regrets now, Tierney.”

“Who’s her boyfriend, and is he really so dangerous that our fathers felt the need to summon us home?”

“He’s Diva Lorelie’s boyfriend, and he wields planetary annihilation weapons,” Renne replied with an ugly look.

“Planetary annihilation weapons?” Tierney repeated in shock before realising something. “Wait, did you say he’s Diva Lorelie’s boyfriend?”

“That’s the point you're mainly focusing on?” Renne asked; however, Tierney didn’t reply and began to search for something.

Seeing this, Renne asked, “What are you looking for?”

“Once again, Tierney didn’t explain except to curse,” Fuck!”

Immediately after she ended the call, “What the fuck?” Renne cursed. “Damn bitch dares hang up on me?”

“Lady Flemming,” Emily Daniels said as she answered her phone.

“Miss Daniels, I have good news. Grace Williams has agreed to meet,” Isabella Flemming stated. “Not that she really had much choice after I mentioned her hidden pregnancy.”

“How did she take it?” Emily asked curiously.

“About as expected,” Isabella said with a chuckle. “Shock, disbelief, fear, denial. She clearly doesn’t want the information getting out.”

“No surprise there; I’m sure we can both imagine what the Williams family would do to her if they learned she had an illegitimate child. So where will the meeting take place?”

“New York. Both parties agreed to neutral ground, and since Galaxy Entertainment's head office is based there, it seemed like a sensible choice.”

“I appreciate your help in this.”

“Just don’t forget to honour your end of the deal.”
