Upon hearing the voice of the Phase Giant Beast, Chen Ming immediately felt a chill down his spine.

Because the last time he encountered the Phase Giant Beast was just hours ago when the Crimson Dimension and Phase Space clashed in his Consciousness Space.

Not only did it inflict mental torment, but it also nearly exhausted his spiritual power, which has yet to fully recover.

Chen Ming thought the Phase Giant Beast had fled and wouldn’t reappear soon, yet it’s only been a few hours...

So what’s happening this time?

What is the Phase Giant Beast here for this time?

Although the Phase Giant Beast itself might be harmless, the power it represents in the Phase Space and its potential to affect the Crimson Dimension cause Chen Ming to act cautiously, observing through the corpses of Insect Race units.

When the Phase Giant Beast reached the air above the area originally reached by Chen Ming’s Forbidden Guard Insect Race, it once again emitted a call, seemingly summoning Chen Ming.

Just like last time.

The previous interaction was relatively friendly.

Perhaps this time too... uh...

Chen Ming’s gaze was fixed on the area where the battle was nearing completion.

It’s clear that the Insect Race fleet in space has moved elsewhere, and the remaining ground forces are nearly wiped out by the Mechanical Race.

This planet has no ongoing resource investment for further conflict.

The interior of this planet, which first broke through orbital defenses, has already been infected with insect eggs, and the Insect Nest is developing; the surface condition is now irrelevant.

So now, with the Mechanical Race close to eradicating the remaining Insect Race, it would be awkward for Chen Ming to send a robot to contact the Phase Giant Beast.

The Phase Giant Beast, hovering above the Mechanical Race colony and receiving no response from Chen Ming, suddenly attacks the Mechanical Race’s structures, motives unknown.

The Mechanical Race’s instinctive counterattacks in the void all fail to hit the Phase Giant Beast in Phase Space.

This one-sided oppression exerted by entities from Phase Space on the normal universe is utterly outrageous.

Watching the Phase Giant Beast causing destruction on the ground, or rather observing the evidence and signs of destruction from the elusive entity,

Chen Ming senses something peculiar, noticing the damage marks left by the Phase Giant Beast on the Mechanical Race structures seem unusual.

That’s how Chen Ming sees it, and that’s how he feels, but he can’t quite pinpoint what’s wrong.

With skepticism, he continues to observe the damage signatures left by the Phase Giant Beast but fails to locate the unsettling aspect.

Meanwhile, a new question surfaces in his mind.

How did the Phase Giant Beast follow them here?

Chen Ming recalls his previous encounters with the Phase Giant Beast.

The first time, the beast chased the Mechanical Race fleet, and the second time it also followed the Mechanical Race.

This time, the reason seems different, as it appears to have followed Chen Ming.

Because the Phase Giant Beast did not attack the Mechanical Race immediately but first attempted to summon him.

Chen Ming recollects again.

The first encounter doesn’t count as he hadn’t entered the Crimson Dimension yet; during the second encounter, when the Phase Giant Beast quietly demolished the Mechanical Race, it was silent.

It wasn’t until it noticed Chen Ming’s presence that it emitted that voice as if from the deep sea.

It was only then that Chen Ming heard its voice and began communicating with it.

So, this time the Phase Giant Beast seems to have come for him, so he should attempt to respond.

Chen Ming considered sending a robot over, accepting the risk of Mechanical Race destruction, or finding a complicating method to send a robot through Phase Space.

Just as Chen Ming resolved to use his resources in Phase Space to send a robot in front of the Phase Giant Beast,

The Phase Giant Beast, which had been ravaging the Mechanical Race territory, suddenly lifted and a shift wave appeared near its body.

The next moment, the Phase Giant Beast vanished.

"What?"

"What’s going on?"

Chen Ming momentarily wondered if he had watched too long, causing the Phase Giant Beast to grow impatient and leave.

Realizing that’s not the case, a shift wave reappears not far from where the Phase Giant Beast disappeared, but nothing emerges.

This isn’t the Phase Giant Beast returning but rather a newly arrived fleet of cruiser-level Phase Ships.

This isn’t right.

Chen Ming remembers the Mechanical Race’s mastery of Phase Technology wasn’t advanced enough for this.

The Mechanical Race clearly doesn’t have enough Phase Ships to employ, much less cruiser-level phase capabilities.

They couldn’t have developed this in such a short time, could they?

This... doesn’t seem right; there might be a special circumstance.

Chen Ming suddenly thought of a possibility.

If the Mechanical Race merely targeted the Phase Giant Beast, they could insert regular cruisers into Phase Space, allowing them to attack the Phase Giant Beast directly in Phase Space without needing Phase Weaponry.

Phase Weapons are meant to attack Phase Space from the normal universe.
