Chapter 1966: The Great Monkey of Destruction

Typhoon Plane...

As its name suggested, this was a plane where aero elemental energy surged with astonishing intensity.

At the very center of Typhoon Plane, a colossal hurricane vortex churned.

Beneath this great vortex stood the temple of the mightiest being on this plane, the God of Hurricanes.

But today, the temple had welcomed a new master.

Marduk.

Apart from the immense central vortex, hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of secondary vortices of varying sizes swirled throughout Typhoon Plane.

The entire world was practically an ocean of aero elemental energy.

Yet today, the plane’s usual free and untamed atmosphere had been replaced by a heavy, suffocating sense of oppression.

The Dawn Emperor had no intention of exchanging pleasantries with his opponent, and Marduk was hardly an overgod skilled in diplomacy.

These two overlord-level powerhouses had no conflicting interests. Yet because of the war between the Magus Civilization and the Gallant Federation, they now stood opposed as mortal enemies.

The Dawn Emperor was the first to strike.

Gongsun Wuji’s failure to seize and secure this medium-sized world for the Dawn Empire before Marduk’s arrival had clearly left him frustrated.

In his hand, the world-class secret treasure known as the Son of Heaven Sword erupted with dazzling white-gold radiance, exuding an aura of absolute imperial majesty.

A razor-sharp sword beam descended from beyond the plane.

In an instant, the clouds of Typhoon Plane churned violently, and storms began to gather.

Under the impact of Gongsun Wuji’s overlord-level power, the enormous eye of the storm that had long swirled at the heart of this world began to split apart.

Even the world itself seemed on the verge of shattering.

Such was the power of an overlord!

Facing the incoming sword beam, Overgod Marduk met it head-on with a punch.

The Son of Heaven Sword was a mid-grade mid-tier world-class secret treasure.

However, the secret treasure in Marduk’s possession was of an even higher grade.

A barrier of azure light burst forth before Marduk’s fists.

Not only did it block Gongsun Wuji’s sword beam, but it also spread rapidly across the sky, forming a solid wall of laws that protected the entire Typhoon Plane!

The barrier had a distinctly technological appearance.

The luminous grid spread across its surface resembled the energy network of an advanced civilization’s planetary defense system.

And yet, strangely enough, the power sustaining this energy barrier clearly originated from Marduk’s divine power of faith.

Countless golden threads of faith connected Marduk to the deities under his command.

For the moment, Gongsun Wuji found himself unable to overcome this peak Rank Seven Overgod, especially with the deities under Marduk’s command lending him their power.

An enraged dragon roar suddenly erupted beside him. The Rank Seven dragon overlord had joined the battle as well!

Magus World’s “Man-Dragon Unity” was a skill that very few Dragon Knights could master.

Valter, the overlord-level Dragon Knight, had revealed this ability during the previous invasion by the Amenkha Empire’s Pharaoh. Yet no one had imagined that Gongsun Wuji, the Dawn Emperor, had mastered it as well!

In this state, Gongsun Wuji gained the strength to contend with Overgod Marduk, despite being in a slightly lower realm.

His fist, infused with surging Dragon Qi and Imperial Qi, struck out once more and collided head-on with Marduk’s divine fist.

The entire Typhoon Plane trembled violently.

Even the azure barrier, formed from a fusion of divine power and technology, shook twice in rapid succession.

Marduk let out a cold snort as azure light surged from his arm once more.

In the skies above Typhoon Plane, the phantom of an enormous warship suddenly materialized.

Faced with such a magnificent sight, many beings of Divine Descendants World forgot the battles before them. One after another, they fell to their knees, gazing up at the colossal ship in reverent awe.

What Marduk had displayed was indeed worthy of being called a “divine miracle”!

Marduk raised his right hand and pointed upward. The enormous ship looming in the sky had already activated its weapon systems.

Rows upon rows of energy cannons and countless other weapons locked onto the Dawn Emperor, who stood high above the plane.

Standing atop his dragon mount’s neck, Gongsun Wuji suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.

Without hesitation, he stopped attacking and urged his dragon mount into an evasive maneuver.

Almost immediately afterward, Marduk’s saturation barrage swept toward him.

“What in the world is that thing?” The Dawn Emperor could not help but curse under his breath.

The phantom ship hovering in the sky was none other than Marduk’s prized possession, the Ark.

As a peak mid-tier world-class secret treasure, it stood on the verge of becoming a high-tier world-class secret treasure.

The Ark was capable of changing its form at will.

With divine power as his primary source of energy, Marduk could unleash virtually any form of technologically advanced attack.

This overgod was truly a genius for fusing technology with his own divine power.

After forcing Gongsun Wuji back, a smug look of satisfaction spread across Marduk’s face.

Facing two opponents at once was no difficult task for him now.

With the Ark at his disposal, he could even suppress them both.

But in the very next instant, a sudden sense of foreboding surged through Marduk’s heart.

CLANG!

A deafening metallic collision rang out as a blade suddenly appeared at Marduk’s side.

At some point, another demon overlord, one whose aura was even more terrifying, had appeared behind him.

From the very beginning, this demon overlord’s targets had clearly been Marduk’s divine relic and heart.

Even with Marduk’s abundant Overlord Soul, protecting both of these vital points would require him to expend a considerable amount of Omnipotent Soul.

The razor-sharp demonic sword had already pierced through the azure barrier Marduk had conjured.

When Marduk turned his head, he saw a purple vertical pupil in the hilt of the sword, rolling ceaselessly within its socket.

That purple eye was filled with savagery and bloodlust.

The demonic sword seemed desperate to drink its fill of Marduk’s blood.

Marduk let out a cold snort.

After catching a clear glimpse of the demon behind him, he swiftly pulled away. Raising his head toward the sky, he entered the phantom Ark hovering above in the blink of an eye.

Gustavo attempted to stop him, inflicting considerable damage upon the phantom ship in the process.

Once Marduk entered the Ark, its ethereal form began to gradually solidify.

Against two opponents, Marduk still possessed a certain degree of confidence.

But three...?

Even with the Ark at his disposal, he was beginning to feel overwhelmed.

Both Gongsun Wuji and the weapon in Gustavo’s hand were extraordinary.

When Gongsun Wuji pulled the Heirloom Seal, a jade seal surging with Dragon Qi, from his robes, Marduk immediately realized that it was just like the demonic sword in Gustavo’s hand.

Both were world-class secret treasures with the potential to grow even stronger.

Although their current grades were slightly inferior to that of Marduk’s Ark, neither treasure could be underestimated!

Recalling the premonition he had sensed before setting out on this campaign, Marduk could not help but wonder.

Could these two world-class secret treasures somehow help my Ark evolve?

However, neither Gongsun Wuji nor the demon overlord before him was an opponent he could easily defeat.

Until reinforcements with overlord-level combat power arrived from the Gallant Federation, Marduk could do nothing more than hold his ground.

The Mortewigen Star Domain was one of the Gallant Federation’s major heavy industrial regions, located not far from the Sivel Star Domain, where a fierce war was currently raging.

In this vast expanse of starry sky, a dazzling black lotus was the first to appear.

The moment unusual energy fluctuations were detected, nearby Gallant Federation legions hurried over to investigate.

It was an eighth-grade black lotus.

At first glance, it bore a striking resemblance to the Black Lotus of Destruction belonging to Destruction Spring.

Upon closer inspection, one could see that the throne actually possessed fewer lotuses.

Although both had reached the level of world-class secret treasures, it was clear that the owner of this eighth-grade black lotus was not as skilled at nurturing treasures as Destruction Spring.

As the black lotus emerged, a black hole filled with destructive power appeared behind it.

A large Gallant Federation fleet that had arrived to investigate was suddenly caught in its pull and dragged uncontrollably toward the black hole.

Before long, the black hole of destruction expanded once more!

Suddenly, a terrifying overlord descended upon the battlefield. He wore a golden circlet, possessed jet-black fur, and was surrounded by raging black flames of destruction!

The burning wreckage of federal warships still clung to the fur around his neck.

Perhaps he felt that the surrounding black hole of destruction was still too small.

With a low growl, the Great Monkey of Destruction reached out with both hands and violently tore the black hole wider.

The already surging pitch-black vortex expanded once again!

Not only did this allow the overlord to descend fully into the Mortewigen Star Domain, but it also revealed the dense hordes of destruction troops and Yao Clan legions gathered behind him.

The moment this overlord of destruction descended, warning alarms blared throughout the entire Gallant Federation once more!
