Sorcerer: I want to be an Academic Prodigy

Chapter 307 The Second Avatar

Wafting Scent Castle.

Under the misty moonlight among the ruins, a tall figure stood, his eyes gleaming red as if he were a hungry tiger searching for food.

“Stop hiding, come out. I’ll take you to seek revenge. Think about that despicable sorcerer, he’s the one who destroyed all our hopes. I know where he is, I’ll lead you to seek revenge.”

Being driven by obsession, the spiritual bodies couldn’t contain themselves any longer upon hearing these words, causing a disturbance beneath the ruins.

His reddened eyes shone even brighter, transforming into streaks of afterimages in mid-air and darting towards the source of the commotion in the blink of an eye.

“Ha ha, found you.”

“Master Butler, I’m willing to follow you to seek revenge.” The hidden spiritual body lifted its head cautiously, staring at the butler whose appearance had drastically changed.

Now, the butler no longer resembled a normal spiritual body.

His body was large and bloated, almost like a wild half-giant that had run out from the forests, and his body emitted various auras – an aura of bloody malice, resentment, and death, making him feel more ominous than ever before.

Compared to a normal spiritual body, he was now a blood-colored evil spirit.

“Yes, yes, willing to seek revenge.” Another spiritual body quickly echoed, its pale face showing a flattering and pleasing expression.

“Very good, I can feel your intentions. Let us merge into one, ha ha.” The butler looked at the two guards contentedly. Before they could rejoice, he suddenly changed his tone and reached out with both hands, grabbing a guard with each hand, laughing maniacally.

“Master Butler, spare us!”

“Spare us, we are still of use, of use!”

The two guards quickly begged for mercy, their faces instantly covered with tears and snot.

“Your greatest use is to become my power.” The butler looked at them coldly, unemotionally.

“Damn traitor! You’ll die too, making such a commotion will surely attract the attention of that place. You’ll be thrown into the mill and watch yourself being crushed bit by bit, over and over—”

“That’s right, look, it’s coming, it’s coming, you will surely die screaming, you will die a more miserable death than us—ah!”

Seeing that begging was useless, the two guards’ expressions changed drastically into something fierce, as they continually spat malicious words.

The butler ignored them, and accompanied by screams, he swallowed them whole.

The next second, the aura around the butler began to grow even thicker; a mix of dark blood energy roiled around him endlessly.

“Ollie! My name is Ollie, not some damn butler. Ollie seeks revenge, to kill that base sorcerer, at all costs, kill him!”

The sense of relaxation brought by the expansion of power made Ollie the butler roar into the sky, his words filled with hatred like a raging river.

Following that, his gaze fell upon other parts of the castle ruins, where more prey was hiding – all of which would become his power.

Under the shine of the moonlight, begging and screaming alternately resonated between the broken walls.

In the empty land in the center of the castle, a mystic green pattern array slowly formed from the blood of spiritual bodies, seemingly a formation linked to the omnipresent force fields within the castle.

Months swiftly passed.

Rapid Wood Tower, Ivan’s carefully nurtured Pan Iron Root began shedding again, with layers of rocky skin peeling off one after another, quickly filling up a pool that was twice as large as before.

“The roots aren’t thick, only about the size of two fingers, why is there so much skin?”

“I don’t know, our rapid wood silkworm clan never sheds like this.”

“He really is a strange fellow.”

Locke and the Silkworm Queen had come early to witness the second transformation of the Pan Iron Root.

At that moment, Ivan glanced back; Locke immediately caught on and hastily closed his mouth, ceasing his whispers to the Silkworm Queen.

In the room, energy particles were bustling about, intermittently weaving into various spectacular scenes. Those present could discern that the particles were primarily Earth-type and Space-type, their concentrations almost indistinguishable from one another.

Suddenly, a pale yellow light burst forth from the pool, enveloping the surroundings.

“It’s gravity!”

Locke felt a heaviness upon himself; the words slipped out and echoed throughout the room.

Swamp ants could also perform ‘Gravity Manipulation’; compared with them, this here seemed equally matched, though it was known that swamp ants were Level 3 creatures, a level the Pan Iron Root had not reached.

After saying this, Locke offered an embarrassed smile, having forgotten the need for silence.

Without waiting for Ivan to say anything, he gestured to the Silkworm Queen and dashed out of the room.

Ivan paid no mind to him or the Silkworm Queen; he simply stared quietly into the pool, perceiving the status of the Pan Iron Root roughly through their connection.

So far, the Pan Iron Root did not manifest any adverse elements.

Before long, energy particles swarmed toward the pool, causing the water to steam and colors to burst forth. When all phenomena subsided, Ivan dispelled the lingering steam and energy particles.

‘What’s this?’

Slowly, an object floated up from the pool; upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a large mass of wriggling rock.

The yellowing rock shifted, continuously changing shapes—originally root-like, then tree-like, and then into various forms such as wolves and leopards, along with many other bizarre forms.

Watching this scene, Ivan was puzzled, wondering if it involved ‘transformation’.

Truth be told, his knowledge of the Pan Iron Root was extremely limited; he had always kept an eye out for information on it, but had never found a single word about it.

‘Amazing, its potential has increased so much.’

He cast an identification spell from the perspective of the Secret Method Body Double, noting a significant rise in the Pan Iron Root’s potential, fitting nicely into the excellent category.

Although it was no match for the previous ‘Life and Death Cocoon’, the Pan Iron Root also met his expectations.

Moreover, seeing the Pan Iron Root’s current state, it seemed capable of morphing into other forms, thus avoiding the embarrassment of the body double being merely roots.

Ivan’s gaze remained fixed on the wriggling mass of rock, continuously weighing the pros and cons of the Pan Iron Root as a second body double.

At that moment, the Pan Iron Root conveyed a strong desire to him, innately craving the ‘Light of Wisdom.’

“This is your own choice, well then, I shall fulfill it,” Ivan immediately decided at the mention of the Light of Wisdom.

The Pan Iron Root was the first creature capable of drawing the Light of Wisdom from him; given its bizarre nature, he naturally felt uneasy about it not being under his control, making it a second Secret Method Body Double was a good choice.

Having made his decision, he began to perform secret techniques.

After its second transformation, the Pan Iron Root’s spiritual wisdom was further enhanced, yet it was still not considered an intelligent creature. With his reassurance, the Pan Iron Root offered little resistance and compliantly accepted his will.

In a moment, the second Secret Method Body Double was formed.

Under Ivan’s guidance, the wisdom of the Pan Iron Root began to open; from chaos, it turned to a vague understanding. He seized the opportunity to transfer some basic knowledge of the Danaila World to it, transforming it into a true intelligent creature.

The rock kept wriggling, inching closer to a humanoid form; soon, a rugged stone man hovered in mid-air.
